Anesha Holmes MSN, APRN, PMHNA-BC does not care about her patients. She has stated openly on the internet she has committed felonies by stating, "That's when they get that nurse's dose." That is unethical, criminal, and harmful. Not only should she no longer be employed here, her license should be pulled, and any patient that has ever been under her care make sure you check your medical record history!
I see Dr lundvall and Ms Neal and they are wonderful. However Natasha Dr Lundvalls nurse the complete opposite. When you need medication she never answers the phone always straight to voicemail and then she won't call in your medication or call you back. Karma
This place was a total and wonderful surprise. My daughter was having several days of severe panic attacks. While this center is not geared for the services she needed, they went above and beyond to help her bc they "just did not want to see her leave without getting help". Karlie A. and Loradez T. worked for hours to get her set up with a virtual session. She walked out of that session with Dr. Davis and said it was the best talk she had ever had with a therapist, and she felt respected. The entire staff was kind and professional. The 3 folks mentioned by name were instrumental in her getting help. These folks care. And they don't just want to help--they take act and DO help. In an underfunded, overworked, and underappreciated profession, they are the better angels among us. Thank you so much for helping us today.
Horrible service to the disabled. No braille in sight for the blind. No staff assistance. Staff did not answer questions effectively to me being blind and expected I can see when I am a documented blind person.
I see there's a lot of negative reviews so to ease anyone's mind who is deciding on going or not going. I want to share my positive experience in hopes that you seek help if you need it. I had a wonderful experience at Columbia Area Mental Health. I went in for emergency services. Staff was very nice & friendly. After my intial assesment I was even able to get my follow-up assesment the same day which was very convient. After leaving I was given an appointment to see a doctor the next week. I'd suggest going early and setting aside a couple hours just in case they are busy. Very happy with the service and would recommend going if you are having doubts.
Incompetent doctor and staff encounter. Medication not properly prescribed. Update month 4
The center does not have the structure or mentorship needed in my case. I’m healing through my own will. My voice has been neglected by those in contact with me. The place doesn’t treat me as if i am responsible for my human rights but yet offers no assistance in the real world. They treat me incompetently but leave me to be responsible and mature in my life outside of appt 1 hour sessions. MD difficult to contact or trust. They control meds but no teaching no support financially or educationally. It does not work for high functioning individuals like my self.
Their bathroom In waiting room don’t work properly. They have a note stating if the bathroom needs attention let the ppl upfront know. So I did. It doesn’t flush properly like you’ll flush but it comes right back out. The floor has a drainage hole and I can see the water coming up. I told the ppl upfront and said they’ll let someone know. The next month the toilet has the same problem. Now when that toilet has stuff left in it and start giving issues I don’t want to hear about it.
The University of South Carolina psychiatry center gave me a list of sliding scale psychiatric services in Columbia so my father and I called every place on this list and chose to go here. It was the most cost effective for us. Staff did not really listen to me or allow me to speak for myself. They were insensitive about weight and talked very lightly about anorexia. They misunderstood that I was there just for a screening to receive psychiatric services & prescribed medication. They continued to insist that I needed to be hospitalized despite me mentioning my two dogs/school/work and they kept saying that they just wanted to help me whenever I asked what my rights were in this situation. I walked out and will find a different option. Do not go here unless you want to be hospitalized. I felt unsafe, intimidated, threatened, and scared the entire time.
