Dishes are good except the pork belly tough yet expensive so it’s not worth ordering the dish.
Amazing food .
Affordable prices .
Big portions .
One of the best Chinese food you can get in jakarta
Great place to try the signature food (pork stomach & chicken soup) which give a very fragrance herbal flavor. The meat provided in the soup was plenty, and you can also ask to refill your soup (doesn’t mention how many times, possibly limited) the staff are also friendly, and all the food tasted great. Definitely will come back to try again, since this type of soup flavor is uncommon, and not many restaurant can cook as tasty as here

Step into the vibrant world of Huang Ji Huang, where the fiery embrace of Mala simmer hot-pot awaits! A haven for Chinese food enthusiasts, especially during festive Lunar New Year celebrations. After a hiatus of five flavorful years, I revisited this culinary gem.

Despite the passage of time, the essence remains unchanged, with a mere 5% price bump that pales in comparison to the generosity of their portion sizes.

Our feast included the Mix Kombinasi, featuring succulent Iga Babi (Pork Ribs), plump Udang (Shrimps), tender Daging Sapi (Beef Slices), and silky Egg Tofu. But fear not, for amidst this protein parade, an array of complimentary Sweet Potatoes, Potatoes, Carrots, Celeries, and Dates add colorful variety. For an extra kick, dive into their tantalizing Mala sauce, weaving a symphony of flavors that elevate each ingredient to new heights!

At Huang Ji Huang, dining is a communal experience, with families gathering to share in the joy of food, marveling at the skilled hands that blend each element into a harmonious masterpiece. It's a haven for family bonding and culinary exploration. Come one, come all, but be warned: this pork-centric paradise is strictly non-halal! 👍🏼
Food: 4.7/5
Really nice soup, perfect for rainy weather. The shao kao was also very nice.

Service: 5/5
Attentive and straightforward.

Additional comment: setting of the restaurant was nice enough, they even have a wall dedicated to explain the history of the dishes.
One of the go-to hotpot places in PIK. They have pretty good deal with the price compared to other high-end brand.

My concern is the hygiene because we have multiple times that we encountered bugs and roaches in the premises. other than that, hopefully they increase their hygiene more.

One of the best chinese delicacy in pantai indah kapuk jakarta. The mala dishes are the best, with a lot of flavours and choices of meat
The food taste good and the atmosphere look old but still clean and good.

Was at Indonesia for work, and one of my partners brought me to this chinese restaurant. Heard from them, this restaurant had been here for a very long time. We ordered the Smoked Roasted Duck (one of their famous dishes), Kang Kong, Hotpot Tofu with chicken, and a fish dish.

The dishes were served about 10 to 15 min after ordering, and the service was fast as well. The roasted smoked duck is definitely one of my most loved dishes for this restaurant.

Will definitely come here again if I am looking for an authentic chinese styled food in Indonesia.
The food taste and condiments are great. The service is good but passive. The parking in peak hours is the worse if you are driving yourself.

My first time trying simmer hotpot in Huang Ji Huang PIK Branch. We came at lunch hour at weekend, no queueing.
The food was great, it’s like hot pot without soup, but cooked with their signature sauces. We ordered combination menu, pork, fish and beef ribs complete with vegetables like tofu, paprika, carrots, sweet potato etc. It tasted more delicious if you add some coriander leaves.
They do the cooking in front of you and need to wait 5-10 minutes approximately.
The place was clean and spacious, but I think you will find difficulty in parking while on weekend because PIK such a crowded area.

This is one of the best restaurants in the PIK area, and they are still excellent. The Hokkien Lomie is great—don't forget to add the fried pork fat condiment to it. Using this as the main dish is a good idea. Their signature dish, the fried pork belly with green chili, is still delicious—it's juicy and crispy. The fried chicken (I can't recall the name, but it comes with soy sauce) is tender and crispy. They also offer a unique dish, fried hipio with scrambled eggs—its taste is distinctive and slightly salty. This should be eaten with rice.
A good fix if u miss food from back home. Had the claypot, pig intestine soup, oyster omelette and pork.
The soup is fantastic, claypot rice amd omelette is average.

One of my favorite hotpot spots in PIK! There really isn't much to say about the place tbh. It's a typical hotpot place with typical hotpot options. There isn't anything out of the ordinary but I found a lot of pleasure in these seemingly ordinary things. Great hotpot place!
Pretty good dimsum, but very pricy.
This old school place really brings back memory. I can’t get enough of the gurame bumbu rujak, they’re so good! And surprisingly, the jellyfish is really good as well! I haven’t had the pleasure of knowing a good jellyfish place, but this one definitely makes the list. The mixture of the classic Chinese ambiance with speakers on the top corners of the room, and golden wallpapers with lazy susans, the taste that brings you back. I’ll go somewhere else for braised pork belly though.
Absolutely love it. For me this is my favourite dining place at PIK. Great food, good ambience, good air conditioning, pet-friendly, everything is just right.

Highly recommend the Signature Pork Tripe Chicken Hotpot, that's what we always go for. Especially great when I'm feeling a bit under the weather.

Their Shao Kao menu is also wonderful, strong flavours and good seasoning. Highly recommend getting the Eggplant with Garlic Chili.

Food was so so. Service was subpar, borderline rude sometimes. And it's the typical oily-feely atmosphere of Indonesian Chinese food restaurant.

Angke was considered the gold standard in Indonesian Chinese food. Today, however, there a lot more authentic Chinese restaurants around Jakarta that provide even more interesting experience, and better food to boot.

Personally, Angke has the image of "that place" you hold Chinese wedding lunches/dinner, or that place you bring your family dinner with grandparents for nostalgia sake. For actual great food, there are better and more authentic places to go for the price.

This restaurant has been around for a long time serving Chinese food. We so tried the karaoke in a VIP room. Food is delicious.
A family classic dish. We have been coming to previous outlet before they moved to Springhill for quite some time.
My family enjoys their Sop Ikan, Lindung Cah Fumak, Udang Yamha and their Hekeng / Go Hiong.

Their new place is huge but their AC wasn't on all the way so it was a bit humid. But they also have VIP rooms for small special occasion.

Located in PIK, keluar Dari pintu tol pik, posisi Ada disebelah kanan jalan, nggak jauh bundaran pik avenue. Parkiran nggak banyak n nggak Ada vallet service. So during the weekend, it's better you park your car at the next building. It's a Chengdu cuisine, hot pot with a spicy variant menu. But you ask halal food, the service is a bit slow if the resto is full. So you'd better call the waiter/s directly. VIP dining Ada Di lantai 2, the food is delicious n a bit pricey. Semi private room is 4million IDR for the minimum charge.

Good place for gathering with family. It serves dimsum and also Hongkong style dishes. There are plenty of items in the menu. The service was good and the food was yummy. Interesting they also have giant clam with vermicelli, which I had it the first time here. It was good. The highlight was the peking duck. The skin was crispy and not much fat. It was prepared 3 ways. One of the styles was a little bit too dry. The honey walnut shrimp was ok. The claypot tofu was yummy. Overall, it was a good dinner and a good time with family.

Can smoke inside 👍
Been to Angke restaurant since my child hood. The classic food is still the way I remember them. Such as those in the photo.
Angke Restaurant at PIK is the most recent operated branch, 1 of 5 in total that spread over the Jakarta city, the metropolitan city of Indonesia capital. We came here to order take away food, fried rice set with roasted salted chicken. Definitely, food is quite delicious and fresh from kitchen, and is in big portion too. Hopefully, we will have more time to sit inside next time, having lunch or dinner leisurely, and make a proof that it surely is a good restaurant, in taste & quality, price as well.

Excellent fish soup and halal chinese food. Tried the hot plate kangkong and astonished by the gravy. We ordered both seafood and beef kangkung, both were awesome. The crystal prawn or yam ha is a must order dish here, the prawn is cooked to perfection resulting in perfectly crunchy texture. The fish soup is the star dish of the joint best eaten with cut chilly and garlic soy. Four thumbs up for GK Family

delicious food but annoying waiter/waitress… they keep coming to our table to check whether we need the tea to be refilled or plate to be taken even though we have told them to stay put until we call them when needed. Sigh not sure in what language we should communicate with them 😵‍💫

When ordering food on the pot, they will ask to cook Infront of you or in kitchen, i recommend to cook it infront so you can see the whole proses and hv a experience how it being cook.

The taste really good with many option varian from beef, pork, chicken, vegetable.

But the struggle might from getting parking lot for cars :D

Re-open after renovation.
My must go place for dimsum and Chinese food.
Great taste as always , good service .
Got private room for private event.
Must order menu: onde, cheongfan, truffle hakaw, salted egg pao , chicken feet
A staple in Sunter/Kemayoran area, Cung Hua is not to be missed if craving authentic Chinese food with plenty of wok hay and that hearty homecook feeling.

Our table ordered the usual hits: kepiting soka telur asin, sweet sour pork, beef kangkung hotplate and sapo tofu. We weren't that hungry to begin with but as soon as the dishes arrived & we started eating, there was absolutely no stopping as each bite was better than the last. Delicious and worth the price especially compared to many other Chinese restos in the area.

Will be back soon with more friends. They also give out discount vouchers so that's a plus. The only thing I would recommend is a renovation as the front fascade & interior are starting to look oldish, but don't let that deter you from visiting for a great meal.

Most of the food we ordered tasted more than average. The first order that came was the fried rice, it was super fragrant (however it would be better if rice dish was not served the first). The pork ribs were tender and the sweetness was decent. We loved the roast duck; the meat was moist, and the skin was crispy. What a perfect combo! The squid was not my favourite but it's alright (maybe its seasoning was not too well absorbed into the squid). The birthday noodles were delicious, and the salted egg prawns were recommended. We also had the steamed minced pork which reminded us of home cooking, and sauteed pork bacon which was also well enjoyed.

After being remodelled, May Star now has a minimalist concept. The lighting was soft, making the guests feel comfy. The staff were agile and attentive. Keep up the quality!

A Chinese restaurant that served non-halal food. Suitable for vegetarians. The taste is different from other restaurants that have the same food menu. The price is moderately high.

The place is quite neat and clean, and the service is okay. Recommend to bring friends and family here.
HEAVEN!! FOOD : Very Good! PLACE : Good! SERVICE : Good! TOILET : Normal.

Very often being in here. Really enjoy with the food. Fresh and delicious, especially with the soup, my favorite is chicken collagen.

The Deep Fried Bean Curd Skin Roll is the best in town. Really like the Fuzhou Fish Ball - I always order this one (perfect).

Place is really clean and good. They have good standard for comfort. Its Good!!

Amazing with the service, the staffs served us very well and they do fast.

I really reccommend this place for Good Food. With the price, they maintain the quality very good!! Will always return here!!
Legendary autenthic Hakka style cuisine! We came here to celebrate birthday, Chinese New Year and also upcoming Cap Go Meh.

All the dishes we ordered met our expectation. Very delicious! Awesome!
We ordered: Moy Yan Fried Noodle, Yam Ha, Lindung Cah Fumak, Black Pepper Beef, Sweet & Sour Pork Ribs, Gurame Saos Bangkok. We also ordered Gui Ling Gao as our dessert.

The service is also good: fast, responsive and friendly. Cleanliness is quite okay, but there was a fly flew around our table! After a waitress putting a candle on our table, the fly’s gone. I think this is the only thing this restaurant has to improve.
Angke. Staple Chinese food in Jakarta. All their food is just as standard as it can be for a family restaurant. They are known for their noodles and for me specifically the "juhi tahu kuning".

Service :

Host of the restaurant doesn't present thyself too well. Attitude was shown and constantly looked down on us and some other patrons. No visible waiters at all times, but taking orders are fast, and food comes in the normal wait time. Overall 6/10.

Food :

We've decided to go with three menus, bbq pork, salted egg prawns, and beef xo sauce noodles. Pork was well cooked, crispy on the outside and had a bite, but not too dense, still tender. Prawns were soft and had a subtle taste of salted egg. Noodles were a bit chewy but very soft, overcooked, the sauce was your average soy sauce. Overall 8.5/10

May Star is definitely a family favorite for years, and the food is still good, I'd just hope the service would improve here.

I would say they are a casual dining restaurant, not too fancy and is just about right.
The place is nice enough, clean and cool air conditioned with responsive and nice waitresses.
They have many kinds of Chinese dishes with chicken, beef, fish/seafood also pork (for Moslem brothers & sisters better ask them first about it). I have been ordering their food so many times and they do have good standards, the taste never changes.
One experience to share, today I ordered some dishes to go and one of the dishes was Fuyunghai, it should come with tomato sauce but somehow the waiter forgot to include it into my package. So, I called them and they sent the sauce over to my house (at their cost), which is I think a really good service.
In term of price, i would say the price is affordable and suit the good quality of the food.
If you are around Sunter area, come and give it a try, I believe you won’t comment lower then good, if not very good.

Non halal food, PIK area.
Lezat ! in my opinion.
Different taste of Chinese food.
Must order Kim Chun tofu, fuyunghai Medan, bihun tukha (pork leg), sop hipiaw dan bakso ikan, fried samcan (pork belly), salad ubur2 thailand.
Hot pot package also recommended 👍
It is undeniably true that Angke dish are legend. All of the dishes ordered were amazingly delicious. It was able to bring back the childhood memory of an old chinese food taste like.

The PIK branch is closer to where I stayed during my visit. It was not as big as the one in Angke, however, they tasted the same.

Pricewise, I would say it has decent price. My suggestion would be dine in there with more people to be able to try various others delish dishes.

Smoky Hot & Unique characteristic of perfect crisped rice on the bottom of the pot! tryin @kungfuwok_pik ‘s Signature Claypot Rice for the very first time.

Signature Claypot Rice : 7/10
I choose the Chinese sausage toppings aka lapciong bcs it cant be wrong 😛. Tbh the claypot rice were flavorful with a unique smoky aromas. Portion were generous and there’s a perfectly crisped rice on the bottom of the pot. Was it good? it was owkay.

Boiled Pork Slice : 4/10
Although i love the salty sour and garlicky taste of the dish. the pork slice cut was uneven and the texture was rubbery. Very hard to chew :( considering the price for the dish (148k), it’s meh.

One of the better non-halal chinese food in Jakarta. It claimed no MSG is used, we don’t feel that MSG-thirst after the meal, so I guess there isn’t MSG. Combo roasted pork and barbecue pork is good but it’s not the best. Roasted pork is not as crispy as the one you find it in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Barbecue pork still lack of that ‘smokey-taste’ like the one in KL. The yummy grilled large squid was perfectly cooked. Love the claypot morning glory vegetable with a hint of pork lard. Sautéed lala clams was fresh and good too. Lastly the steamed minced pork was alright, however husband and son enjoyed it very much. This place was crowded on Saturday (1pm) lunch, where we waited around 3O mins for a table. Together with two appetisers and a pot of Jasmine tea and two bowls of steamed rice, total bill was IDR1,413,734 for the three of us. Service was alright.

One was inside the Pakchoy plate serving and another one was during our meal came from under the table.. the surprising part was the staff response; the lady servant seems unbothered with that and another guy who seems like their manager or smg, he said “ooh, it still another 2 days time for our pet control to come..” wth…. Good Chinese restaurant from Medan. Ordered crispy pork belly, fried beehoon & kwetiau. A bit pricey considering the portion of meal dishes. Recommended in PIK area.
Wow thats an amazing place to enjoy Hotpot. Located in PIK area, not far from waterboom area. They serves chinese traditional hotpot, with lot of choices and varieties of Meat, Vegetable, and Healthy Soup. The restaurant is also decorated well, although the price is a bit pricy, but its still worth it compare to the taste of food, and the experience. Currently, they also have 15% discount (food only).
Shu Guo managed to standardised Jakarta's Chinese hot pot scene to a new level. Quality is always on point and taste real close to authentic Chinese hot pot from the mainland. With knowledgeable and friendly waiter, you will have a good dining experience here! Recommended for hot pot lover.
Excellent fish soup here. We also enjoyed some pork, chicken, prawn, eel, veggies, and others. Simply delicious. Old Chinese restaurant in a simple setting. Fast service.

This is One of Legendary Restaurant since the year of My Father, The place is so authentic Chinese Indonesian The Food is awesome tasty, original Indonesian chinese food, the best menu for me so far since 30 years ago is,
1. Special Fish head soup (Soup Kepala Ikan) the taste of the broth is tasty yet refreshing
2. Yam Ha ( Steamed prawn salt and sesame oil)
3. Yam Pak Yap ( Tripe with sesame oil)
4. Steamed Chicken
well you should try it yourself, and if you dont know what to order, simply asked the staff, for the recommended menu, Enjoy
Legit dim sum food in Pik avenue. You don't get many choices for a high quality dim sum in PIK, but may star is one of it. All of their dim sum comes with a high standard. If you want to have your dim sum fix for real instead of just a companion of your meet up, this is the place. Staff response can be better but it is still pretty good.

Great chinese food. Famous for their Sop Gurameh.
I like Tahu Sutra, Sayur 3 rasa, and Beef Kangkung Hotplate. Portion is good for 2.
This outlet is quite dirty from the tables, vibes and toilets. A/C is super hot, service is terrible (we have to call multiple times for requests) and they dare to charge nearly 15% for bad service. Food quality drops faster than a fly sprayed by baygon.

Went here on a Tuesday afternoon, nearly empty except for one other person. We were a party of two.

Atmosphere : meh okay, nothing special but there are a lot of mosquitoes, mind you that this is 12.30 PM. 5/10

Service : nothing special, i had heard of bad reviews regarding the service but it's just meh. 7/10

Food : food is okay, it's pretty good. We had the malaxiangguo, you have to order from a separate menu, no yen sui. You have to order it separately for an extra 58 or 68k. Nothing special from the malaxiangguo. 6/10. Portion sizes are also okay, considering the price. It should have been bigger

Price : we ordered pork belly, 2 maling meat, a fishball, pokchoy, 1 egg noodle.2 ice teas. Costs us 501.000. CRAZY PRICES for such cheap ingredients.

I don't get why other people don't mention the crazy prices for the alacarte hotpot/malaxiangguo. If you had ordered the AYCE it might have been a better deal.

We had actually been put off by the prices but we wanted to try the place so we gave it a shot, but oh boy what a waste of money.

Except for the crazy prices, this place has decent food i guess.

4/10. Will not come back. Ever.

This is an old establishment at least since 1950 , and very famous among the old Chinese generation. Service is very good and waiting time is very quick. Suit for family gathering, they even have private room. My recommended menu : fish milk soup, drunk prawn, steam chicken, fried noodle.

Regular patron of Sichuan Palace at PIK and Gajahmada. The food is always excellent.
However, the management must improve the queueing system during peak hours, i.e., Saturday or Sunday evening.
I was dining at Sunday night and about 80% done. By then, some diners are already standing by my table side. That is very unpleasant experience and was completely a turn-off.
The restaurant should impose the rules that all patrons should only queue/wait in the designated area, not wandering into the restaurant and disturbing other dinners.
Very disappointed!

[15/02/2020]
The queueing system has improved considerably. So now, it is solely on the food. The most authentic Sichuan style restaurant you can find in town.

[Jun 2021]
The COVID protocols are imposed. Traffic has improved but has not reached pre-COVID level.
It is a good place to enjoy icy cold beer accompanied by spicy and crispy Chongqing Laziji (重庆辣子鸡).

New Cahaya Lestari that was used to be called Cahaya Lestari is a legendary Chinese food restaurant which is famous for its delicious Fish Tofu Soup. Cahaya Lestari was located near Lokasari, Mangga Besar. Now, it moves to Kelapa Gading. We came here for my brother birthday dinner, and already reserved the seat via telephone. We got private room that consists of two round tables. For this room, there is no mininum order or charge unless you book for VIP room. The service here is good and friendly. Even the dishes were served fast, it was about 10 minutes after ordering.

Here are what we tried :

Sop Ikan Tahu Small (IDR 142,500)
This is the famous and recommended menu here. Milky based soup with steamed gurame fish, tofu, radish, cabbage. It used to be more savoury, but I think this one also still good.

Udang Telur Asin Small (IDR 182,500)
Fried shrimp covered with salted egg.

Bakmi Goreng Small (IDR 103,000)
For fried noodle, we could choose the meat topping, such as chicken, seafood, or pork. We chose seafood. The typical of Chinese food thick fried noodle with shrimp, fish meatball, fried egg, Chinese chives, bean sprout.

Lindung Cah Fumak (IDR 143,000)
Fried and crispy eel sauteed with fumak vegetables and garlic. This one also tastes good!

Cin Yen feels like a Chinese restaurant that you and your family have been going to for years. Pretty simple and straight-forward dishes that taste great. Their specialty is the plain kwetiauw and you should definitely give it a try. I usually add fried shallots and sesame oil to mine but you should try it plain first. Mun Tofu is also nice. Pretty much everything on the menu is a safe bet. Don’t expect friendly or attentive service. This is a chinese restaurant. Horrible service served with a frown is part of the experience.

A good place to satisfy your pork noodle / rice cravings. It's a family run restaurant which sells anything pork. The noodle is good and the roasted pork belly is great though a bit pricey. Getting two bowl of noodles, two iced tea, with an additional platter of pork will set you back 150 rupiah which is a very decent price for eating out in PIK area.

Great old fashion Chinese restaurant! Foods are great with Fish Soup as their signature dish, a must try soup! We ordered Lindung Cak Fuma, fried shrimp and guiling gao as the dessert. Service was friendly and fast, it is value for money as well. Definitely will come back for another round here.
Old fashion traditional hakka restaurant, nice home made cook. Nothing luxurious interior to be expected but surprisingly they have live band facilities to be hired. Currently only private party using this facilities and limited to sundays only. Reasonable price.

The tagline "the best roast pork in town" sounds right as I came here to try their pork. Me and my friend bought hainamese rice roasted duck (IDR 60K) and hongkong noodle (IDR 50K). Both of them ARE good! The duck and pork are in generous portion, the soup also satisfying. Besides pork and duck, there is also chicken in "kari" style. The service are fast, you will be full in no time as soon as you finished your order. Overall, I enjoy the experience and will come again.
Nice sichuanese cuisine, but hella spicy and quite expensive as a chinese food. Portion is good for sharing.
The fish head soup is the best, small size menu is actually can be share for 2 people.
