I've tried several similar restaurants in the local neighborhood & this one is definitely my fav!! Portions are large, food tastes great & is OUTSTANDING & fresh. It's easy to order & I was able to customize one of my orders!! Price was reasonable. Intend to make Tan Wong my go to restaurant!

Good take away Chinese option in the area. The dumplings and beef mushroom were good. Crab Rangoon had little crab but many scallions, so still had flavor.

Nicest people in Simsbury! Amazing food & great portions. If you want to get your money’s worth, go here!

Standard hole in the wall Chinese Food. Lady behind the counter was super friendly. Food was good. Great lunch special prices.

We were visiting from Brooklyn during a farm stay and decided to try this restaurant. With so many great local spots back home, we didn’t know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. The food was outstanding, and my family and I enjoyed every dish. We truly had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this place!

Takeout Review:

I've read good reviews and drive by this place all the time; I always say to myself, "I've got to try that place out." We finally ordered some takeout there recently. Ordering was easy, just a simple call; pickup was also quick and easy. The parking lot was spacious and so was the restaurant. I saw people dining in there. There was a fish tank and the person that helped me was friendly. Prices and portions were comparable to other Chinese spots.

I ordered the orange chicken combo with fried rice, crab rangoons, plain lo mein for my toddlers, and my husband had the general tso combo. The crab rangoons were A+++ definitely up there with the best I've had; thin fried wonton wrapper and a larger amount of creamy, cheesey, imitation crab filling. The orange chicken was good, I'd say 4/5; not the best I've had but it did the job. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we would order there again.

We love eating at Tan Wong. The staff is so kind and the food is amazing. Unbeatable prices! My favorite dish is salt pepper shrimp and the spare ribs are delicious.

My experience with Main Moon has always been very good. The food is the best chinese take out in the area for sure. I have been a customer for12 years . After trying similar restourants in the would only order from MM

Raw chicken was found in our food. When we called to get a refund they told us they would replace it. We tired to explain we don’t want that please refund us. I was on hold for 10 minutes to just be told that I would have to drive back 20 minutes come into the store and show them and they would refund us. First, we threw it away it was disgusting, and second you can’t do a refund on your computer? Let’s hope she doesn’t get sick.

Tan Wong’s food is amazing, excellent service and unbeatable prices. Love love love this place. Great for dining in or yummy take out. Best crab rangoons I’ve ever had. I recommend the beef lo mein, pork fried rice and sesame chicken.

Tan wong is hands down the best Chinese food around. I've been eating here for several years. Food is so good, very reasonably priced and big portions. I wouldn't waste my time going anywhere else. Also the staff is very nice and friendly

I think the person who helped me was the owner and she was so sweet !! We’re working in the area and I found this spot. Great food and pretty cheap compared to other places. Asked for no vegetables and everything was made correctly ! Would definitely eat here again.

If you order a meal and ask for no vegetables, you have a 50/50 chance of still getting vegetables. This is about the 6th or 7th time this has happened, and I end up having to throw the food into the forest.

I absolutely hate vegetables, and I didn't check the meal before leaving the store....so I suppose the fault originally lies with me. However this will be the last time I order from them.

Stopped by for some takeout Wonton soup for a sick child. She loved it. * UPDATE * We tried Tan Wong for take out dinner tonight and it was very good. They have a great no touch pick up system set up. Their General Tso's chicken is better than most and actually has some heat. The ginger chicken has great ginger flavor. Overall a good experience and reasonably priced. We'll be back.
