I got sick from the beef pad thai. Food smelled & tasted off, not even sure if the beef was real meat as advertised. First place of this style cuisine since I moved here. Will not be back again, nor would I reccommend.
The sweet lady at the front always talks to me and remembers me. It’s a bonus to the great food and amazing prices. I think people expect more of a Panda Express type of dining but this is more traditional Chinese food. If you’re looking for trashy Chinese (which is good!) this isn’t it. The fried rice isn’t what you expect, it’s brown rice. I think if you manage those expectations it’s a great place. Yes there are always children there are iPads. It’s not really a dine in place.
It’s a family run restaurant and the wonton soup is my favorite! They do struggle with modification, so make sure they understand your needs. They always try their best but it is difficult with the language barrier!

Food wasn't too fresh and for the $15.88 I could have gone to a buffet for less $ and have more choices, place is clean and nice, but the food needs improvement
This used to be one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. I don’t know how it declined so precipitously, but I’ve ordered several of my past staples and they are just not good anymore! The beef & broccoli was bland; the Mongolian Beef was in some thick syrupy majority hoisin sauce that was extremely sweet and unappetizing. I can only say the egg rolls have remained the same quality. I think I’ve had my last disappointing meal here. I’m so sad because I don’t know another place near me that has good Chinese. I guess there aren’t any in Cool Springs anymore.
The General Tso’s chicken with rice and egg roll was excellent! Better than average Chinese food. The establishment was nice but could change out the plastic cups for glass ones for a higher end feel. Everyone was friendly and the service quick. The lunch price was very reasonable at $12.

They offered lunch specials for $12.00, which was nice. I got the Hunan Chicken and Shrimp, which also came with 1 egg roll and white/fried rice. The food was quite excellent for the price and was definitely better than your average Chinese food.

The only real issue was the atmosphere. It felt like there was a little bit of a disconnect between the quality of the food and the rest of the restaurant. The cups were cheap plastic blue cups, and the silverware seemed cheap too. Some of the furnishings seemed dated as well, though I actually did like the wallpaper. It seems like a minor thing, but I think updating these items would really elevate the experience that much more.
Overall, a nice place to get better than average Chinese food in Westhaven.

Delicious. One of the best Chinese restaurants around. Great flavors, service, and location.
You can tell this is a family run business because we always see the a mother and father having there kids playing in a booth near by. We at our work order from there all the time and they always do a good job.
Great food. Food came out fast and piping hot. Our waiter was super nice. Great experience. Will be back next time we are in the area.
I am disappointed! I gave this place 3 chances and every time they cross contaminated my shrimp with broccoli or shrimp fried rice with pork,beef or chicken when I specifically told them I’m allergic to it and showed them the pieces of meat that I found in my food the 2 times I bought food from them. This last time struck me out👎!
Delicious! My son and I really enjoyed dining here. He had the Orange chicken and I had the Szechuan chicken. Highly recommend!! We'll be back for more.
You can dine in But no plates, only plastic spoons & forks. I ate on the menu, food took 15 min and was dismal. No tea just bottle water in a case. Sad :(
If a little dive Chinese place like this has bad egg rolls just walk out the door. The first time I try any Strip Mall Chinese restaurant I only order the Egg Roll. This place has killer Egg Rolls so I gave them another shot. I love their Lunch specials for the price and the great egg drop soup. I've not had a bad meal here yet. I suggest you go. Its no NY takeout but it is some of the best in Franklin.
This is more of a take out rather than eat in restaurant, but the food is fresh and delicious and the orders are always correct. We love it.
I visited here yesterday and order chicken, shrimp broccoli with garlic sauce. The shrimp wasn't steam cooked and it definitely wasn't garlic sauce at all. I had a spring roll instead of a egg roll. 🤢😫🤦🏾♀️ My first Chinese restaurant I tried since I've been here. Not good Chinese food at all!!! 🗑🗑🗑🗑
Sticky table and the guy told me to sit down and than a lady came up to me all rude and said “you need to get out” because she closes in a few minutes mind they close at 9 pm and I was there at 8:18
This is the GREATEST GREAT WALL I’ve ever been to. Better than the real one located in China. I’ve been there and can confirm this is better. Please eat here!
My son and I stopped in late Christmas Eve , they were busy but took care of a lot of customers trying as we were to find a place open to get something to eat . Thank you for offering us a place to go, great service under pressure.
I really like that the flavor was mild. Too many places use a ton of MSG as a flavoring, and they either don't use it here or use so little that it didn't trigger my allergy response.
This is one of the best food I have ever had around here. Food was really good, price was great. The staff were also very kind. Very recommended!

Stumbled across this place while shopping at TSC in the same shopping center. This has to be some of the best Chinese food around Nash. The service was great, portions were on the larger size and the food was amazing.
Great taste for a very reasonable price! Szechuan chicken was absolutely amazing.
The food looks like it has been sitting under the heat lamp all day. Do not recommend.
We were so disappointed with our last order. I was cooking dinner and wanted to serve it with some rice. We surprisingly had none in our pantry, so to save time we called to pick up 3 pints of rice, which are listed on their website menu for $4/each. Pick up was hectic (on our part, with a crying child), but we were charged $35 for three containers of rice! We called the next day to get it resolved but they were not willing to do anything about it. We feel totally robbed. We will no longer order food from here, which is unfortunate since it's conveniently located for us.
I hate to leave a negative review but this really missed the mark for me. The egg roll was chewy and lacked any flavor, the rice also lacked any flavor at all, and then while most of the sesame chicken was crisp, it was too sweet. The staff was kind, but it’s not for me.
While the food is good, the workers are very unfriendly. The older lady has is always rude and barely responds when you ask her something. They treat you like you are a burden.
The food was HOT, FRESH, AND ON POINT!!! I really enjoyed it, and so did my taste buds. The waiter was amazing, we had questions, and he answered all of em we asked his recommendations and he was spot on!!!

Tasty food and good service count for me. This place got our dinner out quickly and the staff were all friendly, our server was attentive making sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our visit.

A non descript storefront, foyer leads to a small lobby with host counter. Dining/bar area in adjacent room. Friendly woman handled my order. This was our first time calling in since our usual place was closed for vacation.
Was only there for take-out. Ordered a small assortment of standard dishes. Scallion pancakes were layered, puffy, crispy and not oily. Under seasoned by design in order to sop up the nice soy dipping sauce. Chicken teriyaki skewers were tender and flavorful. The spring rolls (that were fried) had mushrooms in them-pleasant surprise. We got the veggie lo mein and pork lo mein. Ample portions and the pork was done homestyle strips-not the red dye spareribs style. Overall we liked everything and might now have a new go-to spot for Chinese take out.

One of my favorite Chinese fast food restaurants. Service is friendly. Courteous, caring and kind. Hang Tai is our fave place to walk to. Full bar with classics -- young ones don't know the drinks -- and lunch and dinner menu is NYC quality. My fave chinese. Owners make it homestyle. Love Hang Tai.
I don't usually eat Chinese food. I decided to have some fun with my cousin and check out of work early. I was anticipating my crab Rangoon as well! I figured, hey why not make it an afternoon.
Tom, the waiter was ok at first, no complaints. I was a little taken back at the rapid turn around time with my crab Rangoon. Hey whatever right?!
The appetizer arrived in Ripley believe it or not time! There was almost NO CRAB and the outer layerer was overwhelmed in artificial heat flavor. Only some will understand this
My scorpion bowl was very decent, just had too much ice. I asked Tom to prepare the same drink, minus ice. He declined, indicating he would need to add "more juice" My request was no ice.
Tom began to become aggravated and visibly annoyed, he belted out "I know you guys want more booze"
I was the only person with a drink request, it floored me to hear him say "you guys" I am one person but together WE re bothe proud African American woman.
To add insult to injury, when Tom brought the tip, he immediately asked without h situation.
"Do you want tip on card or you cash" ?
First of all, us guys don't tip with that horrible service.
The food was at best a 4 and without alcohol I would have never been able to consume it!

Worst experience ever...Went into the restaurant expecting some good food and drinks. Walked in sober with my gf and she asked what they served for drinks, they said just soda even tho there was a cooler full of alcohol. The guy at the front desk told her to grab whatever is in the cooler. She sat down with a corona and the waitress came and immediately took the beer away without a reason...She didn't explain it or have a legitimate response for why she couldn't have a beer. Instantly regretted going there and did not want to give them my money. No wonder they were empty when we came. Walked out and went 400 feet down the road to hang tai chinese cuisine. Wayyyy better, more personable, and the food was great. I can't imagine bamboo house will stay in business much longer with service like that. terrible experience and even worse people. Hope they go under. Worthless restaurant.
Food is great. Always hot and delicious if you eat in. Found Mai Tais to be weaker than usual with no fruit in either that or the Scorpion Bowl (COVID casualty?). What is off-putting is them waiting for the tip or telling you you have to tip.
Some of the best Chinese I ever have and they are very very generous with how much they give you... all this was 10 dollars and so good. Can't wait to go back.
Great food! We’ve been eating take-out from New China for 8 years and have never had a bad experience. The General Two’s chicken is awesome, the pork fried rice is great, and the Spring Rolls are the bast ever. Suggest ordering online, then pick up your order. It’s usually ready in 15 minutes. This is the only place we go to for great Chinese food.
Came here for a quick take out lunch. Food was prepared promptly. I ordered the teriyaki chicken and the chicken portion was plentiful. Flavor was good and I was happy with the experience. I ordered mine without rice to be keto-ish.
Undoubtedly the best Eastern food in the area, the Bamboo House provides outstanding service, quality ingredients, a great selection, and authentic experience. Highly recommend and will continue to return again and again!

Wonderful place to eat! We have a food allergy in our family and they were patient with us as we ordered and made sure the cook knew about our allergies, and there was so many options. We got about 6 entrees and all were delicious and generous! Very sweet family-run spot. Can't believe it took us this long to visit. Can't wait to try some of their other dishes next time. We ordered to-go and everything was so well packaged! I was super impressed.
Came in d/t reviews. 1 star to me is inedible, and i can eat anything. I ate this so it should be 2, but the chicken was a solid mass. No knife, only the cheap floppy carry out forks. So i had to shred it with those, or eat it like a crunchwrap.
The food was so good! I had Egg Foo Yung, Chicken Wings and Egg Rolls -- all perfect! My friend had Boneless Ribs, Crab Rangoon and Egg Roll -- also all perfect! She went back the next week and I'll be back any day now.

Been a fave for thirty years. It has new ownership but the same great food. Cards are now accepted but there is no more included soup and egg roll which kind of blows. Franklin staple!
Not the cleanest & pricey for what was served. I knew what I was getting when I decided to eat here. It’s either McDonalds across the street or this high sodium Chinese fast food. I decided to give it a try. Ordered noodle dish for a change, Singapore noodles with shrimp looked good on the picture. The food didn’t take that long. Inside is not as clean but it was expected. I started to eat shrimp first then dive into noodles. Huge portion but pieces of left over chicken skin, really thin slices. It was $13.99 , should have been $9.99 for that junk. On top of that , I found pieces of hair when I tried to find more shrimps, that’s when I stopped eating. It grossed me out. But I have eaten similar places like this.y father was Chinese and this place would have crushed him. I feel sorry for those who think that this is a great Chinese place but I can’t be a judge for everyone taste buds.

Wonton soup only had one wonton, but it wasn't even a wonton. It was just the noodle part of the wonton with no meat or anything inside of it. And the broth also had no taste.

100% the best option to get your Asian food fix. Not only is the food made by a chef that knows what they're doing, the owners are actually awesome people. Great Thai tea, terrific noodle dishes and you can't beat the prices. It's our favorite place to eat when we're on this side of town.
Only 3 stars because not many food options if you are gluten free. All of my favorite foods are fried which has gluten in it for some reason. Other than that it was a nice Chinese restaurant. The wine list was very impressive as well. Great place to visit.
