Put in a $140 order tonight and no one ever delivered it or called to say it was cancelled or they couldn’t fulfill it. We waited for two hours for it to arrive.
Honestly it's delicious! So good, fresh, hot food. I don't stay to eat because it doesn't have a sit down feeling/vibe and that's totally okay! It's worth it, it is more expensive than other places but you can taste the difference and it's totally worth it. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

It's sad that this will be my last time ordering from Imperial Dynasty. I have been coming here since they opened which I think was 15 - 18 years ago? At that time they served high end Chinese food that was more like NYC than anything around these parts. Since COVID I have noticed a downhill slide. Not sure if there are new owners or cooks but the quality of the food keeps getting worse. I realize that the price of everything has gone up but to pay $22 for bland chicken with garlic sauce is ridiculous. It is no better than any other greasy, hole in the wall Chinese place around here. $9 for a large wonton soup which had 6 tiny wontons, no roast pork or scallions, and little flavor. 6 small steamed pork dumplings, and they were not good. The woman behind the counter was yelling at her family in Chinese and barely paid attention when taking my money. I wish the best for them but I won't be coming back. $60 for two people is too much.
My wife and I sold our house 7 weeks ago, and are temporarily ensconced in a hotel in Ramsey, until we figure out where we're moving next. We found this place totally by accident, and let me tell you this is the best Chinese takeout that I have ever had, We have made it our 'go to' place for Chinese takeout. #1 they have the best won ton soup. We get it by the quart(s). #2 I like spicy, and can't recommend their Szechuan Beef enough. The meat are large portions of tender spicy beef, along with the usual Chinese vegetables (including the broccoli...done just right...not too mushy, not to crunchy). We will be coming back as long as we're here! Well done guys!
Love this place!! Food is excellent, great menu and wonderful service. I eat there at least once a week. Usually take out but I have dined in before.
Go to Wah Sing right down the road. I'm really not one to do this but I walked in and was greated with an attitude. I overlooked it as maybe she had a bad day. Got my food and went home. I ordered a *large* wonton soup with white rice and an egg roll. Got home to there being four wontons in the soup. Debated going back because I really don't like to make a ruckus. Decided to go back thinking maybe they made a mistake. She gave me attitude and said "if you wanted more you should have ordered more." Lol long story short, wont order there again. Weird experience to be honest.
Food was delivered 15 minutes earlier than estimated, and extremely hot so I know it wasn’t sitting around getting cold and soggy. Both the dinners and appetizers were delicious. The best Chinese food in the Mahwah Ramsey area for sure and I have tried them all..
A great place for takeout. We love the Chinese food the most, but the Japanese/sushi portion is also good. Combination platters are delicious and affordable. Good service.
Ordered delivery, had 4 dishes of which the egg rolls were the only item NOT COLD, Boneless Ribs - cool, Edamame steamed - cold, Fried Shumai shrimp - rubbery and cold. Gave it a chance and they failed - NEVER AGAIN on a Thursday night at 7pm.
Prices are way too high and was just admitted to the hospital for food poisoning from their food. 👎 So not coming here again.
Updated: Tried this place again. Website doesn’t work. And ordered on Door Dash, they never checked delivery orders when we made it an hour in advance. Then had to wait another 20 minutes.

Food was pretty good but our server was rude. I don't know if she was having a bad day, didn't want to be there, had a problem with my friend and I from the moment we sat down... But it was awkward and uncomfortable. My friend and I are, but decided to leave and have dessert elsewhere. The waitress at that place had only greeted us and the atmosphere instantly felt a thousand times better. I would honestly always choose to settle for food of low quality anywhere else than have service like we had at imperial dynasty. My friend is awesome so being with him the experience wasn't a total wash, but I don't think I'll ever be going back there. Going out to eat in my opinion is about the experience and last night just wasn't a good one. (And as a note, I'm not implying that where we left to have dessert was lower quality. It was actually amazing and next time I eat out, that's the place I'm going. And I only tried this new place last night because we wanted to leave Imperial Dynasty. So....?)
Once a Chinese restaurant quality now a Chinese take out level. Sorry to say I been coming long time and try to support mahwah business but food quality check needs to be better. Not the first time but BBQ Spareribs burnt over and over and zero meat on them just makes dinner not enjoyable.. please check food before sending out. times are tougher w chefs and staff shortages but please try.
Passing by the area, it's worth stopping to dine. The food is not greasy and clean, and everything is delicious. The staff are friendly and attentive.
Everything I had was great. Nice place. Classy. Had only soup and dumplings but both were on point. Nice chopsticks! Did not see lunch specials but was happy with my choices and everything I saw on the other tables looked great. It's not Flushing but I guess it's as close as you're going to get in Mahwah, NJ.
Food is okay, taste very dull. It doesn't taste Chinese food that you normally get. place looks nice and clean. Our waitress was an a older lady. She differently need to smile more. She looked very gumpy. Other than that our experience was okay. I don't think we will be going back to eat here.
