This place is Velankanni church this is good vibe also enjoy the street view
Once a port that traded with Rome and Greece,[1] the tiny commercial center gradually lost its importance to the larger city of Nagapattinam. The canal built to link this town with Vedaranyam still lies to the west. The Vellayar, a minor branch of the Cauvery River, runs south of the town and discharges into the sea. The town was among the worst hit by the tsunami caused by the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake.

The town is home to one of the most visited Latin Catholic shrines called the Basilica of Our Lady of Good Health.
Words cant describe the experience and peace
It is 600m long Holly path, Mostly people moving in this path by knee
This is where the sand path that leads to old Velankanni church starts. It's almost 500 metres. People walk on knees on this sand and also during day time.
On the left side of the entrance is the Confession chappal.
Besides the old church is the Morning star church.
Pavements on both sides are congested always.
A very Devine experience. I visit this place every year. I am thankful for the innumerable blessings I am having.
The place that very much defines the word Catholic: meaning universal...
The religious pluralism that you find here cannot be matched elsewhere...
Religious place but not a spiritual place...
Do not Commercialize the pilgrim centre...
A sand path, a little more than .5km long, runs between the basilica and Our Lady's Tank Church, the site of one of the appearances of the Virgin Mary and a place where pilgrims go for holy water. Along the path, which is lined by Stations of the Cross and Stations of the Rosary, some devotees crawl the full distance on their knees in acts of penance or self-offering
