We went here on a Saturday night for some paella. The chips and salsa were so good we finished off one bowl and was working on a second bowl when our food arrived. We decided on the paella del mar (seafood). We also ordered a large serving of fried plantains. The plantains were so sweet and delicious and the paella was so fresh and flavorful. I had a horchata, which is a rice milk drink that was sweet and refreshing. My husband had the sweet tea that was southern sweet, lol. Our server was very attentive and kept the refills coming until my husband told him no more. Service is beyond excellent. It's definitely a place we plan on going back to.

As a Tex-Mex aficionado with a penchant for craft cocktails, I had high hopes for La Fonda Latina, a Poncey-Highland staple. While the restaurant undeniably has a classic charm, my recent visit fell a bit short of expectations.
The skinny margarita was decent, a refreshing drink on a warm day. However, it lacked the complexity and depth I crave in a truly exceptional cocktail. It was more of a solid foundation than a standout sip.
The guacamole was a similar story. Fresh and chunky (which is how I like it), it was a good base, but it desperately needed a boost of flavor. A sprinkle of salt and the addition of some chopped jalapeños would have elevated it to greatness.
While La Fonda Latina certainly has its place in the Atlanta dining scene, I yearned for a more adventurous culinary experience. For those seeking a classic, no-frills option, it's a reliable choice. But for those who crave bold flavors and innovative cocktails, there are other options worth exploring.

Eating here was a treat!!!! The atmosphere was lit. I absolutely love the music. I was greeted upon entry (super plus). The food was amazing. Everything was season well.....Super delicious!!!! Our waitress Keirra W. was so sweet and professional and catered to our every need. I will be returning very soon i cant wait to come to see the vibe at night. And its black owned!!!!!!!!!!😊

my family and i came to atlanta for the weekend and found this spot for a late lunch. the staff was friendly and attentive, making our visit a good one!
the food was delicious! the horchata tasted freshly made, but the cappuccino lacked sugar. the tortilla chips were warm and the queso fundido was hot! the rice has a lemony taste to it, which paired well with the beans! we ordered a side of tortillas, but the tortillas had mold 🙁
overall, the service was good fast, and the food was delicious!

My experience here was AMAZING! The food was an 11/10, service was phenomenal, and drinks were great. Carmen, our server, was very attentive and our food was out within 10 minutes. We ordered the paloma, horchata, paella, and salmon burrito with rice & beans. I am not exaggerating when I say everything was so good… definitely coming back!

The staff and service are good compared to other places I’ve been. The vibe is cool as well. However, each time I’ve been and tried different food items I’ve been disappointed. If you want to have a good time I would recommend this place just eat before you go. If the food were better I’d definitely give this place 5 stars.

Over the many years they haven’t changed one bit. The same scrumptious flavors and chill easy going vibe.
The Cubano sandwich is my favorite. The beans and rice make great accompaniments.
The quarter chicken is my second favorite. The chicken is super juicy and packed with flavors.
The service is super efficient and one just can’t beat their prices.

Came in yesterday and I must say I was very impressed! Every staff member spoke and greeted us as we walked in! Even security stopped his conversation to say hello! And that’s great with Atlanta’s reputation! The bartender was amazing! Me and my fiancé were having such a good time we didn’t even realize two of our apps didn’t make it out! But the manager came over and offered to take it off the bill AND! Still serve it to us. She was a breath of fresh air because you don’t get that in the city very often! We declined the free food because .. things happen but I just wanted to make sure I give props where it’s due as a fellow restaurant worker! Y’all are killing it!! Oh and the food we did eat was fresh and delicious! This is my new spot for sure 👍

This was my first time visiting but my family live in the area and frequently visit.
My thoughts… the music was very loud and the service was just okay. The waitress never really checked on us. She took the drink order and food orders and a while in between. The food didn’t take too long to come out. The jerk empanadas were extremely spicy and I’m a spicy lover. The pitcher of the original margarita was really good and did what it was supposed to do. Gratuity was included but I didn’t see it on the electronic device and ended up tipping over the amount they initially added.
I didn’t get pictures of all of the food.
I’m sure I’ll be back but it wouldn’t be my first choice and I would probably eat before going.

The food was excellent. I have the seafood paella. It was the best that I've had in my life. It was so fresh and delightful. The horchata was amazing again, very fresh. I also enjoyed my fish tacos. The chips and salsa were very light and refreshing. Can't say enough good things about this location. The food was incredible. Service was great. The sangria mixed with margarita was amazing. I love this combination! Will definitely be returning when back in town

We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly for a quick cousin's outing. We got the sampler with wings, eggrolls, and empanadas. The Peach Bourbon wings were on point! 😋 They were cooked just right. That's the "can I get more to dip my fries in" sauce. 🤤 The dj was vibing, and the hookahs were decent.

I visited La Fonda today on a recommendation. I had the Cuban sandwich, black beans & rice. It's a full size sandwich unlike the half sandwich you typically get at a Cuban restaurant. The rice & beans were just ok. They didn't have much flavor or seasoning. I prefer Havana Sandwich Shop on Buford Hwy.

I like the a atmosphere of the place. The bartender was super nice. However, I ordered the barria tocos and it was bland as can be. no real flavor to it. I still may go back to try more items since this was my first time in the restaurant.

Chili relleno was quite tasty. The frozen margaritas are perfect with the Texas floater. Service was excellent. Sitting at the bar was comfortable and perfectly relaxing for a Monday night

Delicious tacos…. Food comes out quick. Large protein portions in tacos. Waiters very kind and professional. Not sure why it’s always so empty

Honestly this place doesn’t deserve 1 star. The owner was so rude. We witnessed her terrorize this film crew that was filming across the street today. Her establishment wasn’t even open at the time and she still proceeded to blast her music outside the restaurant and to make matters worse, she intentionally moved her car directly next to the picture car near the set and set the alarm off trying to sabotage the production. This woman is highly unprofessional, very spiteful, and absolutely should NOT be running a business servicing the public. On top of all that, the food was mediocre.

Chill atmosphere, come in, pick a seat and enjoy some delicious food!! They have a pretty long menu from quesadillas to Cubans to paella. Their rice is awesome and fish enchiladas for the win today. Decent amount of parking and no wait.

I love this place. Great staff and service. Very high-quality food and drinks. I recommend the fajitas (oddly it doesn’t come with any salsa when I order takeout?) and the posole (chicken / hominy soup) which comes with lots of fresh garnishes. And the birria tacos plate is outstanding. Large outdoor patio area 🙌🏽
Currently, it is easiest to just call in your order because there’s no updated online menu as of (2/24) and the online ordering portal sucks 🤷🏻♂️. Good location in a cool lively neighborhood very close to I-20. Go!

Overall Thought: Go, If You Have To
My recent visit to Blue Cantina left me with mixed feelings. After an unexpected closure at Holy Taco, I stumbled upon this spot, only to be met with an ambiance that felt a bit off.
Upon entering, I couldn't shake off the strange smell lingering in the air, and the overall cleanliness left much to be desired. Despite the midday visit rendering the place empty, the server was pleasant and accommodating.
While the lunch specials boasted great prices, there was an unexpected twist when Ownership suddenly withdrew the lunch menu, catching both the server and patrons off guard.
The establishment's rules seemed a bit stringent—mandatory 20% gratuity during peak hours and a two-hour maximum stay policy. Even during non-peak hours, we found ourselves slapped with the gratuity charge.
However, amidst the quirks, the drinks shone brightly. They were potent and delicious, making them a highlight of the visit. The nachos, perfectly sized for two, and the egg rolls added to the redeeming factors of the experience.
On the upside, the availability of free parking in the AEV lot is a significant advantage.
While Blue Cantina might not have left the best first impression, the prospect of returning for the stellar drinks and appetizers is not entirely off the table. If I find myself in need of a drink spot with free parking, I might give it another shot.

Very good customer service and very good food ! They are up beet and willing to make the food how you want to digest it lol they are some really good guys and I’m glad I found tho hidden gem. It is affordable too !

I enjoyed this spot. The crowd was a little young for my age but still doable. The food was on point with taste and portions. The drinks were aight. I enjoyed the atmosphere though. Would definitely recommend.

The food wasn’t the best. The salsa tasted like tomatoes. The guac was ok. The sauce on the fried grouper taco was ok but that’s about it. My friend like their salmon, Brussel sprout and potato meal though. They have indoor and outdoor seating and the staff is nice.

Food was just alright. The place was pretty dark inside and had a pandemic-era takeout only vibe, but the tables were open inside. Two people greeted us when we walked in but no one directed us for almost 10 minutes while we were waiting. Food ended up being fairly fast in the end, but would not choose this place over other taco spots in the area.

Horrible! This been my go to wing spot every time I’m in Atlanta but last night horrible horrible horrible!!! Spent over 50 bucks and the wings and rice was nasty! My rice was dark and tasted old I wish I would have looked at the rice before I left but I was ready to get back home to a hour 1/2 drive..My wings was nasty it got to be under new management.I will not be returning back to this place

The Hot Teriyaki wings were so good!!!
The chicken wasn’t old…
Staff needs to work on their customer service skills.
The reason I will not be returning.
He wasn’t rude his energy came off as he could care less whether I patronize the establishment or not.
I’ll go elsewhere where my money is appreciated.
But those Hot Honey Teriyaki wings…very refreshing!!

Food was delicious and fresh. They have variety of food with their speciality in wings with different flavors. My favorite wings were the ‘mild ‘ because it was a mixture of sweet and sour. They also have in the menu a combo of torta Mexicananas ( steak or chicken) with a reasonable price that Includes fries & drink. Overall 10/10. Definitely check it out for a quick bite 😋!
The customer service was good & hablan español !

first time coming here and it was great! the wings were very good and I enjoyed the seasoning! my friend tried their philly steak and absolutely loved it. I can’t wait to come back again!

the Philly was delicious and the meat of the hamburger was very juicy with a very good flavor, I changed the fries for onion rings, recommended, I'll come back again

Pros:
-great aesthetic vibe
-our waiter was lovely.
-so much seating and lots of parking nearby
-varied menu.
-I quite liked the chips and salsa and I felt it was super real stale ($3) compared to the other menu items. I didn’t ask if it was refillable, though.
Things to note:
-I don’t really think the food is worth the prices here. I got the chorizo quesadilla ($13) and though it was flavorful, it felt like it was doused in oil. I did like the jalapeño slaw(I think it was slaw) on the side. That’s all I tried. My sister did get the combo with two tacos and the rice and beans and she said the chicken one was alright.

Service was OK Wings kinda small, fries they cooked them twice they were hard and greasy will not be coming back again

Great vibes! We sat on the patio 💃🏽 We enjoyed conversation with other people! The server was amazing. Great food. Gratuity is often included. This was my 1st time here! I will definitely be back!

Similar prices you'd find at any other wing spot. Quick order. Food was fresh but the portion was too off for me to consistently go there.
