Great food but even better service. The food tasted well, there was one item we were unsatisfied with and then replaced it without any issues/ complaints. The paneer poutine was delicious and so was the shahi paneer. Would come back again for the food and service.
Great Modern Style Indian Restaurant in easy accessible location to North and South Ottawa. This location offers Romali Roti(the only place in Ottawa which serves this item), which is worth trying. Dal makhni is so delicious. I would also say nobody beats them in Kheer(Rice Pudding) in Ottawa. They have a wide variety of items here with lot of Indian dishes with Western touch with authentic Indian Taste. Lot of Varieties of home made Indian sweets. Highly recommended this place, the atmosphere is so good in here, staff is so cooperative and nice. Reminds you of traditional Indian food. Must try this place.

Definitely recommend this spot for great Indian food! We especially loved the chicken tikka masala, which had big pieces of bell pepper and onions. Samosas were very big and had a perfect amount of spice. My dad liked it so much that he’s already planning to order again tomorrow!

We ordered the chicken raahi Tikka. Its supposed to be chicken breast but you can see from the picture it came completely raw. Not even uncooked, completely raw.

Beyond disgusted.

I went there on their 1yr anniversary for the first time. They had henna artists which was actually really great! The free snacks were not set up well however as used chai cups+napkins were everywhere. One of the snacks was grocery store bread dipped in Besan & deep fried 🤷

I decided to give them a chance & order food to take home. They had a 30% off deal that day. I ordered a kebab platter (2 skewers each of: chicken, lamb, tofu & salmon), a naan, yogurt & paneer curry. The total was $60something and that's after 30% off 😬

By the time I drove home the oil from the paneer curry had leaked through the container & out all over the bag, and into the raita that it was stacked on. The amount of oil in that dish was excessive. The yogurt was good, but since there was oil in it from the curry I couldn't eat all of that either. The kebabs ...they had all of them in the same container...which means you can't share the vegetarian one bcz it's touched meat(so be sure to ask them to separate them if need be)...salmon as one of the kebabs seems like a mistake. The smell & taste is overpowering and I didn't love it. I ended up tossing most of the meal out in the end.

The location was great for people in that area and the interior is clean & well decorated. The prices reflect the cost of commercial rent & rising costs I'm sure ...but it's a bit high for what I got.

IN RESPONSE TO THE RESTAURANT

- It's great that there was free food, but it wasn't presented well and was self serve which is why it was a mess. It wasn't cos of the weather, though yes it was cold & rainy that day. There was an abundance of the bread pakora bcz it wasn't great.
- the food was packed by your restaurant and nothing happened to it in transit in my vehicle on the way home. It didn't tip or spill. The containers leaked an abundance of oil. There was too much oil in the curries.
- The kebabs ...there were two of each and I threw most of it out 🤷 I saw two rows of each type of kebab and maybe that is 4 in your definition. Either way, meat shouldn't be mixed with veggies and fish shouldn't be mixed with anything else.
- I'm giving constructive feedback....if you don't want honest reviews then please indicate that, otherwise don't get mad in your response by trying to blame the customer or their lack of understanding.
We liked the experience of real authentic Indian cuisine. It was amazing to have authentic taste outside of India. We ordered 2 trays that has different curry and gravies with rice and desserts.
It was a bit spicy for us, but if you don't mind the blend of spices and chilli flavours then this is your place to go to.

The food is really great at this cool dhaba style joint. We ordered kadhi rice and a vegetation thali. They give the food in these to-go containers directly, which I think is fine. But the important thing is the food which is really delecious.
They also have a cute 'manji' outside the restaurant, which gives it an actual dhaba style vibe.

A cozy North Indian restaurant located in Kanata. How was it?

The place - looks compact but upon entering there’s decent seating and the graphics on the walls were spot on! Whoever designed the interior and the menu graphics definitely deserves a shoutout!

The food - we ordered non veg thali and a chicken tikka masala rice bowl.

Non Veg Thali: consisted of 2 non veg curries (butter chicken & rogan josh) and 1 veg curry (paneer masala), served with some rice, raita, gulab jamun, papad and a big, hot butter naan that was perfectly made.
I expected it to show up in an actual thali but oh well.

Chicken Tikka Masala rice bowl - was my personal favourite. The spice and taste was phenomenal. Never had anything like this before! Must try!

Overall the service was quick, the place was clean and so were the washrooms. (Ps- They had a chaar-pai outside!)

The prices are on the higher side and the quantity looks less but I believe the taste and ambience justifies it. (A chai costs 4$ here)

Will definitely come back again to have tikkas and other veg items!
