Upon arrival, I noticed a dedicated parking area within walking distance from the restaurant, which, unfortunately, was flooded due to the relentless rain during my visit. Consequently, I had to resort to parking on the roadside.

The staff at Prego were commendable in their service, displaying kindness and a willingness to accommodate diners' needs. However, the restaurant was bustling with tourists, which significantly impacted the overall ambiance. The presence of a large crowd had the unintended consequence of drowning out the background music, rendering it nearly indistinguishable. This, unfortunately, detracted from the desired dining atmosphere.

Now, onto the culinary offerings. Prego's menu boasted a diverse selection of Italian dishes, each prepared with evident care and expertise. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the delectable cuisine. The flavors were authentic and evocative of Italy's rich culinary heritage. Wij aten een pizza Margarita met verse basilicum, een heerlijke verse salade mix en een penne à tonno met verse tonijn.
Vervolgens als extra de pannacotta en de crème brulee met 2x espresso doppio.
Italiaans eten in Sri Lanka dat zelfs de Italianen dit goed zouden keuren!

Went recently to Prego for the first time, we were really satisfied with the food. We ordered two pizzas and a lasagna, they were scrumptious and delicious and totally worth the price. The employees were really nice and welcoming. And the atmosphere was the best part, where it's situated right near the road and the night breeze as to the open structure of the place with the Italian music in the background really gives the Italian vibe. Loved the place, will definitely visit there again.

Prego has always been one of our favourite restaurants in Sri Lanka. We asked Roy to prepare a surprise menu for six of us… see herewith the pictures of the delicious meal we were fortunate to share with our friends last Friday night. Me and my friends (Italians) went to this restaurant twice, one for eating pizza and one for eating pasta. We are really happy to see the first good Italian restaurant in the country , the menu is full of options and the products are with good quality (clams are the best). The staff was very friendly and professional.

Delicious food, if you have enough of eating curry all day long. This is very good Italian restaurant, friendly staff, reasonable prices.

Stumbled upon this beautiful restaurant with patio seating which gave it a foreign vibe. Nicely designed bar was also a highlight. The pizza was delicious and the cocktails were also on top of their game including presentation. Open themed kitchen is an interesting addition and the staff is professional. Prices are definitely on the high side but definitely worth it. If you are into wine, they do have a walk in wine cellar where you can pick your bottle of choice.
