Came here for lunch on a Sunday and got the salmon teriyaki entree - it came with miso soup (delicious), a salad (love that the ginger salad was not just romaine and the dressing tasted so fresh) a large portion of the beautifully cooked salmon teriyaki, two sides, AND rice. This was the most delicious, quality, and reasonably priced meal. The ambiance was welcoming and extremely clean. Last but not least - our waitress was exceptional and gave recommendations and a treat at the end. I can't wait to go back and try the sushi!
I love sushi and am always looking for good sushi places. This is one of the most well known sushi 🍱 place in upscale Southlake. The atmosphere is superb and classy, perfect place for team lunch and business meetings. They have a very diverse menu, however lots of them has alot of imagination crab meat. Not that it’s ever a problem but majority of the rolls have it. I order to go a few time. The quantity does not disappoint. It’s alittle pricier than other sushi place but we are talking about Southlake, but you get your money worth it, the size of each roll is larger than usual. The platting decoration are very lovely sometime they add fresh flowers, 💐 a very nice touch.

It was absolutely amazing. Mat helped us with our choices and my wife and 3 kids loved it. Definitely going back. Sushi tacos, sushi burrito, and sushi burger are must haves. They even have a food truck at Clyde Warren Park on Fridays! I'll be looking out for that one. Thanks again guys. You all did a wonderful job!

The food was very good! It was my first time here and I was drawn in by their unique food items. Their gyoza and sushi tacos were delicious! I do wish the roll and burrito offered a more flavorful taste but overall was still good and high quality. The service was amazing. I would come back here for the tacos.

This is our "go to" sushi spot, honestly I have never had a bad meal here. Food is super fresh and delicious and our servers are attentive and friendly. Love this place!
First time visiting this place. Such a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Everything that comes with the bento boxes was so delicious and fresh! We also had baked salmon roll. We definitely will come back to try more sushi!
The food here tastes great, and it gets to the table fast. The servers are nice, funny, and make good recommendations. Restaurant is clean, and the music is not too loud.

Authentic Japanese food. Atmosphere was wonderful and food was fabulous! Ordered the shrimp tempura. It was great along with the soup and salad.

An interesting place, definitely not what I was expecting. Despite being in a building it feels more like a restaurant that you would see in a mall food court. Although a bit cramped on the inside they do have outside seating. Outside of the building, the food was decent, especially the sushi taco, which was definitely the highlight of my meal! The sushi and giant macaron were just ok, nothing special, but I'd be interested in trying some of their other options for sure! I'd also recommend doing take out or catering here rather than dining in, but if you do dine in the staff are at least nice and cool.

Tried it for the first time after seeing it on Instagram. Matt was super nice, walked us through the menu and made some really good recommendations! We got the sushi tacos, ahi tuna tower, one inch punch and orange chicken. Every single one is made perfectly with generous portions of protein. The flavor combinations are amazing- makes it worth the long drive coming from Royse City! Oh and ask about their secret menu!!!
Don't forget The macaron ice cream sandwiches, the selection is pretty extensive, about more than half a dozen flavors available when we came, lavender macaron is very good, highly recommend that.

Saw this place on IG and it did not disappoint! Not every place we’ve tried from IG reels has been worth it but this one surely was worth it!

Matt was awesome! Super welcoming and ensured we had a great first experience. His whole team was great and made sure we got everything we asked for even though it was near closing time on a Saturday.

After eating the Tacos, a Shredder Burrito, Texas roll & Sushi Fries, we made room for dessert and enjoyed a delicious Macaroon Ice Cream sandwich. I’m not even a fan of macaroons but these were amazing!

My new favorite sushi spot !! This place is BYOB and offered patio seating. The employees were kind and guided us through the menu. Definitely try the tacos and burrito. My husband and I ordered more than once throughout our stay and enjoyed every part of it.

This place is honestly apart of my sushi rotation. Helps that really great for the price. The sushi tacos are so good, I would come just for those. No one else is doing a sushi burrito and I mean it's exactly what you expect. On that note, the master splinter burrito is solid and bonus points for the name. The one inch pinch roll was good, but there was too much sriracha on top for me. I met the owner once and he was super nice and patiently explained the highlights of his menu. The other employees I’ve ordered from recently were also super nice. I’ve heard they are super gluten friendly, too!

STOP IT! This is hands down the best sushi in Texas I've had. Y'all need to come out and try this cute little place. It's a small quaint place but what it lacks it space and atmosphere it definitely makes up for it flavor. Sushi Dojo is also very price friendly for the amount of food that you receive for the money. Insatiable at this place for about an hour an in that time every customer that had come in for some sushi left singing praises of the quality of the food. I ordered some of Sushi Dojo's favorites like the One Inch Punch, Shedder Burrito, and of course the Sushi Tacos. You can't go wrong with the menu or the price and you've never had a Sushi Burrito then you're in for a treat. The only problem I see here is that you'll end up ordering too much food. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area.

NOTE: If this review has helped you in any way, PLEASE like this review so it can be elevated faster for them to be informed of how well that they are doing! If you have a different experience than I had, I'd love to know about your experience to see where our differences were. Thanks again for reading my review.

SushiZen is a must for my spouse and I. The food is delicious. If you want to avoid the long wait, try going for lunch or on a Sunday evening.
An absolute escape from everything. Delicious food, of course, but honestly want to say how much we enjoy the ambience. Not blasting loud music, but either jazz/ easy listening, allows one to eat in peace! Truly zen-ful :)

Please don't ever change!
a personal favorite over the years, and it's local. staff is always so generous, food delicious and exciting to try new things every once in a while.

My family has spent the last few years looking for what we believe to be the best sushi near us. We all love Cowtown Sushi because of the consistency and quality of their menu. The staff is always friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. It's nice enough for a date, but not overly stuffy. The pride in the craft is apparent not only in the taste, but also in the presentation, especially the Mt Fuji roll that has become a must have on the list of rolls we order during a visit. If I had to point out a flaw, it would only be the halogen track lighting, while mostly well controlled and balanced so you can see your food and dining companions a handful of seat positions in the restaurant get the spotlight effect and it can be straining on your eyes.
I used to be a regular at Sushi Zen, visiting once a week because they once had decent-quality sushi that I enjoyed. However, I'm sad to say that my recent experiences have been far from pleasant.

Let's start with the service – the host's behavior was nothing short of rude. A welcoming atmosphere is crucial in any restaurant, and it's disheartening to see this aspect fall short.

Now, onto the most crucial part – the food. I was shocked to find that the sushi, which used to be fresh and delightful, has taken a nosedive in quality. The provided picture speaks volumes - the sushi didn't look appetizing, and the fishy smell was a clear sign of its age. Freshness is paramount when it comes to sushi, and this was a letdown.

Sushi Zen, you used to be a go-to spot for me, but I'm sad to say that I won't be returning anytime soon. It's essential to maintain the standards that initially drew customers in. I hope Sushi Zen takes these concerns to heart and works towards a revival in quality and service.

Taste was perfect! Outstanding! Food was served fresh and hot. Nice location. Ambiance was good.
I eat sushi A LOT, and this place by far has been one of the best I’ve been to. Service was great, food came fast and was super delicious! Will come again!

My favorite sushi place here in Dallas! Bento boxes are excellent and the pricing is great- most affordable I’ve seen around here for what you get. Always very friendly. Usually it has a pretty steady and busy crowd…expect a short wait on peak times/weekends. The tuna tower is also delish!
I've been to a fair number of sushi places before but this place is one of the best I've had in recent years. The place was packed Sunday night but despite that we were seated at the bar rapidly and our order was taken soon after. The sushi was INCREDIBLE- fresh, full flavors, and beautifully presented. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area.
Found my new favorite sushi place in Southlake. Don't be fooled by the strip shopping center location, the atmosphere, friendly service, and sushi are on point! We had the white tuna sashimi, which, besides being excellent, was a generous serving size. For dinner, we had two of the no rice rolls which we absolutely spot on. HIGHLY Recommend this place to all sushi lovers in or near Southlake!

LOVE this place

Very nice dining area —fresh flowers on each table??! Well done

Sushi is fantastic

Extremely wide variety of rolls, including 11 unique rolls without rice.

Great service
I’ve been here a few times now and the service is always great. They get pretty busy on nights so I would call and make a reservation if you don’t want to join the wait. This is definitely one of the better sushi restaurants in Grapevine - Southlake area if it’s not the best. The fish always tastes fresh and they have a wide range of hand rolls and sushi to choose from! I tried the Thai Shrimp Tempura and it was AMAZING! The peanut sauce and coconut flakes were a great touch and I just thought the roll itself was so creative and well executed (I’ll be getting it again, for sure.) The ninja roll too was really good. I did try eel for the first time and while I can’t lie, I was a little apprehensive to try it when it came out, it was really good! Super tender (not what I expected) and just had a good flavor.

First time being here for lunch. They have lunch deals which come with a miso soup. Honestly didn't expect the sushi sampler to be so big. It was a lovely surprise for a good price. The server lady was attentive. Sushi was delicious, with big portions of meats. Parking is a bit tricky, but there is always a spot somewhere.

This was by far the best sushi!! Everything was incredible! We had the beef dumplings and crab Rangoon to start with and both were the best I’ve ever had! We ordered the Vegas roll and the special dragon roll both were fantastic!! I was stationed in Japan for over three years and the sushi here rivals what I had there. This is a must try because everything is fantastic from the beginning all the way to the dessert. The presentation of the food was beautiful and my fiancé was very impressed! The staff I should add was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable! Esther was especially kind and a wonderful server! These photos don’t do it justice.

We love going here. It’s always fresh, consistent, fast and friendly, They have excellent specialties like the Keller Roll we love. Their sauces are delicious. The rolls are large so sharing is a good idea. There is a full menu with other items for non sushi eaters. It’s family owned and in this Southlake/Keller location for years so definitely where the locals go.

I ordered the soft shell crab and lobster 🦞 roll. Both were top of the line. Not to mention the ambience and service. We are coming back to try the rest of the special rolls.
Absolutely love this place! The staff is so nice, the lady always remembers us. We went tonight for our daughter's birthday and they made her feel extra special. Fantastic sushi, especially the Toro. One of our favorite places

Love coming here, have been visiting for several years. It's always good, always friendly. First time getting take out tonight. Still yummy but honestly if you can, dining in is with it for the atmosphere, presentation and little extras you get on your plate.

Delicious Food and Fun Atmosphere
We sat at the bar, because it was very crowded. We actually enjoyed eating there, watching the sushi masters create their beautiful concoctions, so next time we'll ASK to sit at the bar again!
We ordered a couple of sushi rolls, a tower of sushi and chicken fried rice. It was much more than we could eat. Everything was SO delicious, but our faves were the gorgeous sushi tower - it looked almost too pretty to eat - and the chicken fried rice - the best either of us have ever tasted! They have great selections on their menus - something for everyone. From sushi rolls to cooked meals, they have a wide variety. Every dish we saw carried out looked delicious. We look forward to eating here again!

With the dozens and dozens of sushi restaurants in Dallas Fort Worth area, most of them fall under the category of good to very good. However, it’s a rare find to discover a sushi restaurant that is consistently great in all aspects, especially in the quality and presentation of the food....and Cowtown Sushi is such a place.

We have eaten here numerous times, and each time I’m reminded at the outstanding quality and taste of the food. Whether my daughters ordering chicken fried rice, or the many unique sushi dishes that I order for my wife and I, it is always delicious!

Pros:
- Outstanding quality of the sushi and other food!
- Beautiful presentation
- Very attentive. The Sushi Chef’s and the wait staff frequently check up on you to make sure you have enough ginger, and even ask if you would like ponzu sauce.
- Delicious entrées and incredibly delicious sushi.
- Best Ika (squid) anywhere I’ve had in the DFW area. The scallops are also deliciously prepared. In fact, my only regret is I don’t have a large enough stomach to indulge further 😄.

Please be sure to check out this gem of a sushi restaurant located at the corner of Davis Boulevard in Southlake Boulevard...in the Urban Air Trampoline park shopping.

The atmosphere is set just as you'd think, small but big enough for a good dinner. Sushi was fresh and large size cuts. I think price matches the quality and quantity of sushi you get. We enjoyed and will be back

Edit. This place has become the restaurant to stay away from for delivery drivers. They never use the option to add more time to the pick-up time so drivers show up when they're supposed to but then end up waiting at least half an hour for the food. CHANGE THE TIME ON THE TABLET so we aren't losing money because of you. And if we're going to wait because you didn't do what you're supposed to, GIVE US AN ACCURATE WAIT TIME. Not only that, since they aren't able to press a simple button on the delivery tablet, their customer still thinks they'll be getting their food delivered from the time they were quoted when they ordered. It screws everything up for everybody except the restaurant. I mean what do they care, right? They're still getting paid either way.

Bottom line: If you like their food, go eat there. Don't have it delivered or you could be waiting for an hour and a half or longer.

Best sushi in Southlake! Cowtown has a fantastic, relaxed atmosphere and the best fried rice anywhere. Several visits ago we got a whiff of the most delicious smell we've ever smelled. We realized it was the fried rice bowl from the next table over. We had to order some of our own and it didn't disappoint. Amazing with a great garlic taste! Now we have to get a bowl or two every time.

As for the rolls, try the Mt. Fuji Roll! It's colorful deliciousness on a plate. You've got shrimp tempura, crab, cream cheese, avocado, wrapped in rice and served over spicy mayo.

This establishment wasn't too busy when I went, yet the staff didn't show any sign of happiness or even a smile. This is a family sushi restaurant. The roll was $12.50 and quite delicious, but it lacked the traditional sushi experience. For one, the floors are carpet and there was country/pop music playing. My advice would be to save your money.
