Extremely overpriced even for CDMX. Bought the largest sushi sampler, which in most Japanese restaurants is good for two guests. At $100 U.S. dollars, it would have been enough for one guest. I don't understand the justification for the prices. The atmosphere is nice but nothing over the top. The service was great. However, the food was average. Would not recommend

**In response to the owners reply.

I've eaten sushi all over the world Europe, Asia, North America and there isn't anything about your fish quality or selection that is exceptional. I've eaten better quality at lower prices. Your sushi was fine but, in my opinion quality nor portions justified the cost. As a regular consumer of sushi I was disappointed.
Good good quality service I’ve commmé

This place has rotten egg smell, most people are covering their nose with napkins while eating. Restaurant didn’t care.

And I clearly told the waiter no gratuity, but when u tapped the card and received bill, it added 10%. Feel cheated,”. Avoid this place if possible

It was my last day in Mexico and I had an okay time so far but this restaurant just made a long-lasting impact on my trip. We were treated like royalty by the manager Gerardo. What an amazing customer service! They also gave us a free dessert for appreciation 💙 Definitely coming back! Thank you Gerardo and team ☺️

Excellent service. Beautiful, contemporary venue.

If you want the full experience complete with the personal chef cooking your meal on the grill with lots of fire and flare, make sure to order from the “Teppanyaki” menu. These items are cooked right in front of you on the grill. I recommend getting the combo and fried rice (“Arroz Chino”).

Absolutely gorgeous restaurant. Great vibes. Good food. Definitely paying tourist prices in Polanco.

Salmon Nigiri -4/5
Tuna Nigiri - 4/5
Unagi Nigiri - 5/5
Chutoro Nigiri - 4/5
Wagyu Nigiri - 5/5
Tapioca Dessert - 4/5

The restaurant is gorgeous. Super chic. Great DJ with a good music selection. The eel and waygu nigiris were really good. They came with additional foie gras, and torched. The Chutoro was just okay…wasn’t the best quality. The dessert and the carajillo were delicious. Great combination. Prices are definitely on the high end. Service was great.

Mediocre food, poor service, great atmosphere.

I ate here 4 years ago when we visited Mexico city and I was mesmerized. This time around, we made the reservation here long before we arrived. To our surprised, this time around everything was much different.

First of all, the restaurant was cold. They had portable heaters and we asked if they could bring one heater closer. Three different people of the staff came by to say they can't because other guests may get cold. For entirety of our dinner, there was no other table occupied near us that could benefit from the heater. Out of an abstract argument, they let us stay uncomfortable throughout the dinner.

When they delivered the food, multiple items in the order were incorrect. We had to talk through and explain again and again what we ordered. They later asked if it is okay they give us what we did not order instead. Eventually they brought what we ordered but it felt very weird for such an expensive restaurant.

The taste was also not great. The tempura ice cream was cold and chewy outside and frozen inside. Most of the sushi was at best okay. To my surprise some sushi had cilantro which I don't eat. It was not listed in the menu as an ingredient which is pretty weird considering it is not a typical ingredient for sushi. They were kind enough to not charge us for one plate of sushi because we did not eat because of this.

Our waitress, a slightly older woman, had an attitude of a patronizing mother. She treated us a bit like children during the struggles I mentioned above, almost not respecting us as customers and trying to dismiss our requests (like receiving what we ordered instead of something else she brought). I thought maybe I misunderstood her manners because I don't speak much Spanish but my husband, a Mexican, had the same impression when we talked about it after we left the restaurant.

The restaurant has great decoration and atmosphere but the service and the food does not even remotely match the price point. There are many incredible restaurants in Mexico City. If you skip this one, I don't think you'll miss anything.

Very delicious bowls and fresh fish.
Very good quality and staff that cares for your well being.
Simply one of the best Japanese restaurants in Mexico City. Sashimi is fresh, rolls are creative and tasty and a good selection of sake and deserts

Very good spot for sushi and sashimi.

Their specialty rolls are some of the most creative I have seen, and they do a flawless job of marrying mexican styles to Japanese fare.

Their spicy tuna roll and tuna tartare are delectable, and their house sake is exceptional. Their crunchy rice roll also earned a special place in my heart. Absolutely delicious.

Service was wonderful, and the staff was highly knowledgeable of the menu.

It's one of the best spots for sushi in the city, hands down.

Husband took-out for a surprise date here and we loved it! Sushi was great & so was the rice bowl. I loved the atmosphere of this place & how green, private it is.

Definitely worth the price!

We are members of the Hyatt and so get a discount but it was not applied to the bill when I paid. The manager said there was no way to fix it only that he could pay us back in cash but out of the waiters tips. I said that is terrible and not true. He refused any other option so I declined this offer as the waiters were excellent. Horrible management

Solid food with great service (Pedro was very attentive)! If you sit at the teppanyaki table and are two who want the same thing, best to still choose something else as you get plenty of the protein!
An elegant restaurant that never seems too busy and has an innovative menu full of creative dishes that are a fresh alternative to most of the Japanese restaurants in the area. The Tuna Pizza (which didn't sound too appetising to me) is fantastique. The Toro tartar as well. I am fascinated by the truffle Chicken Dumplings, so much flavour packed into a perfectly cooked gyōza. We had the Caesar Salad which has a delicious Japanese spin and incredible presentation. The Shrimp Tempura Maki is also a great choice. Wine list is well curated if not a little expensive. Well worth the cost for a special occasion or a slow Sunday lunch.

Serving portions were big. Meat, seafood, and veggies were all cooked to perfection. Our teppanyaki Chef, Raymundo, was very friendly. My daughter was thoroughly entertained.

Nice interior and good food. The prices of the rolls are not so steep as they offer good quality and portions for what they charge. I must say that the Fire roll was a bit too hyped up. As you can see on Google reviews, a lot of patrons order this. But for me, it was nothing special. However, good service and would go back from time to time.

Beautiful location! We tried the Teppanyaki options, but it was not really the best. Personal recommendation: stick with the Sushi and Sashimi options. Service was just ok, since they did forget a few things we ordered and did leave us unattended for a while in between.

Place with excellent atmosphere and delicious sushi. They take great care of the presentation of the dishes which is beautiful. Very friendly staff.
Highly recommended Japanese restaurant!
Went here to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and the attention from the entire staff was extraordinary.
Now, talking about the food... It is pretty good. Sushi rolls, Rib eye entrées and main dishes (meats and sea food) were very tasty. Cheesecake for dessert was fairly good as well.

On the other hand, worth to mention, that the Restaurant itself is amazing. I mean, the architecture captures your eyes and the vertical garden transmits peace vibes.

Came for dinner with my friend. We loved our Nigiri mains which were amazing with lots of flavour, very impressive and colorful. Also we got some giozas which were really delightful.

The service was over the average, super nice.

We asked for a sake and they had a really nice catalogue of options, dry, sweet, flavored ones.

I was really excited about visiting Tori Tori, and the mains were just fantastic, but was kinda disappointing not being able to sit outside to appreciate the garden view.

Amazing Japanese fusion cuisine. Great for groups or couple dinner. This place is a must if you enjoy Asian fusion, beautiful views and top notch service. Each dish was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. My top recommendations are: toro tartare, truffle tuna roll, and the wagyu carpaccio. For dessert, order the choco bar - it was the most scrumptious I’ve had in a while. Service was quick and attentive. Prices are high.

Wow! Never fail every time I am in Mexico City. I have tried almost everything on the menu since this my third time eating here in 3 trips. This meal was a robata and sushi meal. I need the change from tacos and other local cusine. My wife suggested Makato. She always has great ideas. Must eat in Polanco!
Here’s my edit 6 months later and they have not lost their touch. Still the best Japanese in Mexico City. Great service and fast. I got some new pictures as well. Tried the creme brûlée with truffle ice cream. Wow!!!!

Everything in their menu is really good. There is a lot of variety too. Staff is friendly and service is super fast. The terrace is great, so cozy, and with a great view surrounded by nature. Their fresh drinks are delicious, loved the lemon cucumber water. Beef is great, a lot of quality. Overall an awesome place for Japanese food.

Beautiful place, good food, expensive. Know what you are in for, this is a great Japanese / mexican fusion restaurant. The best dishes merge both ingredients (i.e., oysters with tuna and serrano chile, spicy brussel sprouts). The sushi / Sashimi was underwhelming and for the price you can get better quality and quantity elsewhere. Where this place really shines is with desserts. I would particularly recommend the chocolate bar and the lava cake.

Went on a Sunday for lunch. Beautiful day, got a table on the terrace. We got there somewhat early, plenty of tables available, yet I would recommend a reservation. Kicked it off with veggie fried rice, very tasty. Later we had a sushi roll and lastly the short rib noodles, which were absolutely amazing. Really enjoyed my time. Staff is friendly. Note that it's expensive (more than $500 per person).
