We attended a birthday party at the Redmond pool. The facility was clean and the staff were friendly. Our kids enjoyed both the inside pool and activities as well as the outdoor kiddy pool and splash pad.

Nicely modernized public indoor pool on Education Hill in Redmond, with fully renovated locker rooms and re-plastered pool, most the issues from years past have been corrected, except the limited parking lot. Pool is fully heated to about 80 deg F.

The pool is perfect for professional swimming and scuba diving training. There are private lessons on weekends and our kids love them.
At first they couldn't get used to the cold water, so we had to buy wetsuits for them.

They never update their website or swim times.
They now 4/2024 will occasionally answer the phone.
Pool itself is lovely, and so is most of the staff.
I wish there was parking and appropriate information on their website. The Redmond high school uses the parking lot, and there is no monitoring.

Sunday Family Swim: not busy, plenty of room in the pool. Sign in at front desk; locker rooms are off to the sides. Pool too cold (front desk said 83); showers too hot without temp control. Locker rooms were nice enough: 4 different sizes of lockers, 6 toilet stalls, 6 showers, suit dryer, not too cold, well-lit and bright, no need to bring your own locker. Secondary parking lot behind the building. And there's a playground!

Booked a lap swim with my daughter to help practice form for swim team. Booking online was easy, and when we showed up for the first time not knowing what to do I went up to the front desk and asked them. There were 3 behind the desk, all very young, looking at their phones. It would have been nice to have been greeted when I walked in, especially considering there was no one else there. But I was pointed in the right direction. The locker room looks like it was renovated recently and has nice finishes. It's a bit on the small side and I was horrified to see the state of the floors. Full of muddy puddles that you had to walk through, hair, and filth everywhere, and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. We were there at 9am so it should have been spic n span. It was truly disgusting and the only reason I'm not giving it 4 stars. The actual pool itself is small... reminds me of the Bothell pool I grew up swimming in.

I can’t speak to the community pool in general but the lesson program is great. I’ve been underwhelmed by swim lesson programs at similar community-based pools and aquatics centers but have been totally impressed with the lessons here. A huge pet peeve of mine is taking my kids to a 30 minute lesson where they spend over half the time sitting on the wall watching, listening, or getting bored. That’s not happening here! If you can get your kid into lessons, it’s great! (I do agree that the online registration can be difficult). The lesson program appears well-staffed (no simple task I. 2022) with tons of young and friendly teachers. I have no doubt that they’re all good swimmers but what has impressed me the most is their ability to engage with the full spectrum of swim lesson kids- from the ones who cannon ball into the pool to the ones who want nothing to do with it. All while keeping the whole group engaged and learning. Kevin, in particular has been wonderful with one of my boys whose behavior can be challenging. No haggling or pestering or negotiating, or pleading- he just gave him encouragement, space, and patient support. It worked and now this tricky kid of mine likes swimming!?

Even though most of the staff appears quite young, it’s evident that there is some great training and professional management here. It’s a breath of fresh air and an amazing asset to the community.
