What a disappointment.
I've never had such a bland meal in my life! There was no seasoning on the breakfast skillet whatsoever. Even after generously adding salt and pepper myself, there was no rescuing this dish.
The potatoes were freezer burned, the toast was unbuttered, and the side of bacon was overcooked. Even the coffee was watered down!

Had an omelet which was good. I have had other things that I would rate 5 stars. The service is always top notch and I love the quaintness of the place.
Had breakfast here with a friend for the first time today. Service was okay--our waitress stopped by the table several times to ask if the food was okay, but failed to refill our cups of water. The bottle of ketchup at our table was empty and we had to grab another from the next table. Food was decent but definitely overpriced for what you get.
I love to go here with my parents, everyone can get something they like! The breakfast is good, old-fashioned Midwestern food. As others have mentioned, Midwestern food doesn't always have the most flavor, but sometimes you just need something simple and hearty. Geez Louise! One thing is that the place is a bit dirty... nothing gross, but it could use a deep clean. Overall, very yummy!
With commercial coffee equipment it is difficult to not burn coffee throughout the day as the plates are so hot, yet even a fresh pot was lukewarm at best.
No cinnamon in the french toast batter? A sin for good breakfast cooks who have some pride in the batters they make.
The hash browns had no flavor. I know breakfast places like to cut their prep “rustic style” but I call it poor knife skills. Poor cooking skills as well, my over easy eggs were over hard.
The server brought us the wrong food and there were only three tables sat in the place.
Too bad, the opportunity there is huge; with all the housing within 5 miles they could be so busy they would need reservations.
I would rate this place below Dennys as a breakfast option.

Valley Diner catered food for an early morning meeting at our office this week. They arrived early to deliver and set up. They even brought along a baklava dessert that I didn’t order as an extra goodie for our guests. The food was wonderful. I was worried the french toast would dry out, but I worried over nothing. Everything was delicious! The staff was extremely friendly and professional. I would highly recommend Valley Diner for your next meeting or corporate event catering needs!

Gave them a 5 star because their service was amazing. Friendly, & fast. The breakfast was delicious. The malt was amazinggggg! They also gave us the remaining of what couldn't fit in the malt cup 🤗! Would definitely go back to try more of what's on the menu. Not only do they serve breakfast but they have cheese curds, burgers, patty melts, fish and chips etc!
My friend and I went to Valley Diner on a Saturday morning, called ahead to see if we needed reservation but didn't. We got there and were seated right away. The staff was friendly, brought us our beverages right away and took our order promptly. The food was really good. My friend got the Galaxie Grand Omlette, I had the country fried steak and French toast. The omlette was the fluffiest I've ever had. Overall a great first time. Definitely would try again.
