Good gym but the sauna smells like old socks

Overall, pretty good equipment variety and clean facilities. However, gym is busy as is with students, but it’s irritating the level of busy-ness it gets since it is open to the public. Students shouldn’t be forced to pay for the Student Athletic Fee and should be allowed to opt-out considering how busy the gym is always. They also take way too long to repair broken equipment.

Unfortunately it's not the same anymore. Parking is always full, there is not enough equipment either. There are only one pair of weights so you have to wait so long for your turn. Staff frequently lock the session rooms and you're not allowed to use those for one reason or the other.
The facilities are not enough of Trent students, so I won't recommend taking a membership if you are not studying here. It would be more beneficial to look for other options. I would be looking elsewhere for future.

You deserve 0 stars. The place is packed with students. If you’re a member of the community it’s not worth the cheap membership to wait in lines for equipment. The session rooms are always interrupted with staff. What a joke. Stick to students not people from the public. Parking is always full as well.

Great place to go for a gym. Sports like basketball, squash, and rowing are also available.
Great crowd and employees. The place is neat and clean. It is also very well maintained.

Good facilities. Having the cardio area look over the gym and rock climbing wall area is a really nice touch. Nothing bad to say about the overall layout of the place, except for when it gets busy. When it's busy because of the limited size of all areas it can feel a little overwhelming and claustrophobic. The one gripe I have is with the gym itself, and that is regarding the machines. Unfortunately because of the limited size of the area, there's only one hamstring curl machine, for example. When this machine is out of service, there's evidently no other machine and all one can do is wait until it is fixed. That machine specifically has been 'out of service' for almost 4 weeks now, at least. Other machines have started to be 'out of service' now, never mind the ones that have been for months already now. With the space being busy as it is for each session, there has to be emphasis on fixing these machines in a respectable time frame. Seemingly it is as though when one machine is slightly messed up or completely off kilter, its slapped with an 'out of service' sticker and nothing happens.

It's convenient for university students, but it's been extremely busy the past few months. Often the machines will all be busy, especially the cardio machines upstairs so you have wait or pick something else. Simply not enough available for the busy times. The space upstairs is poorly organized for dynamic workouts as well. However, it's great when it's quiet. No complaints about cleanliness, and the classes are great as well.

Probably not the best gym for swimmers (who aren't in a club). Mixed feelings. It's a lovely facility in a beautiful location, and has friendly staff. The pool is well-maintained and kept at a beautiful temperature for swimming. My locker rental is a reasonable price. On the flip side, the pool is so rented-out that lane swim offerings in the early morning and evening hours are pretty scarce - members are lucky to have access to three lanes for 90 minutes or less four nights of the week, and share the pool with public swims. The morning lane swim is from 7:30 to 9:00, which isn't great if you don't work or study at Trent. Trent's my alma mater and I love it there but after seeing the swim options reduce over the last year or two, I'm not so sure it's the right gym for me.
