Essen war wieder sehr gut nur der Service läßt zu wünschen ....beim bezahlen muss man sich anhören " warum haben sie das nicht gleich gesagt das es getrennt geht " und wenn ein Tisch weil er nicht richtig zusammen gebaut wurde zusammen klappt , man sich dadurch die Hose mit Rotwein einsaut nicht mal als kleine Entschädigung wegen der Umstände ein Getränk auf Haus bekommt, man nur gesagt bekommt " ich hab mich doch entschuldigt" sorry ....aber das geht garnicht ....das is eher unprofessionell und und Kundenunfreundlich ....ich hab selbst mit Kunden zu tun , deswegen weiß ich wovon ich spreche....so gewinnt oder behält man keine Kunden .
Obwohl das Lokal heute völlig voll und überlastet war, war die Bedienung immer freundlich und selbst wenn man mal etwas warten muß,, ist es einfach toll hier. Ich verstehe die Leute nicht, die sehen wie voll es ist und trotzdem meckern. Toll wie Ihr alles hin kriegt!!

The waiters are all very attentive and you can tell that service is being taken very seriously here. Every time we eat here the waiters are really friendly and forthcoming. There’s one waiter especially who’s very very attentive and can predict the customers needs which is very impressive. The food is always very good, as are the drinks and the atmosphere outside is always nice.
Very good and real Italian food. Do not miss „spaghetti alla Casa“ that area amazing! Kids meal available. Cheap and very good! If you stay with your camper near by it is a must go. Very busy even during the week.
Wieder mal einen schönen Abend im La Romantica verbracht.Das Restaurant war draußen bis auf den letzten Platz besetzt.Der Innenraum war auch gut besetzt.Der Kellner sagte uns gleich das es lange dauern würde bis wir essen könnten, da es aber sehr gemütlich dort ist, blieben wir. Alle waren extrem freundlich, trotzdem es voll war...

Wir waren auf der Durchreise hier essen und haben sehr gut gegessen, freundliches Personal und trotzdem das Lokal voll war haben wir nicht lange auf unser Essen warten müssen. So eine gute Pizza habe ich schon seit Ewigkeiten nicht mehr gegessen 👍👍
The food is... okay. I was expecting more authentic Italian cuisine. Very little cheese in Al forno dishes, Carbonara with Grana Padano... Tomato sauce with cream, tastes like the express and cheap tomato soup many of us know from childhood. ;)
Excellent and authentic italian food. My wife and I had early dinner for two on a Thursday, close to opening time. The restaurant is huge and has plenty of staff.
Hands down the best Pizza in Göttingen! Atmosphere is relaxed and the service is good. Me and my family frequent this place quite often.
Ein wunderbares gemütliches Restaurant. Eigentlich war etwas anderes geplant, und es war eine Zufallsentdeckung. Wie wurden herzlich empfangen, der Service absolut zuvorkommend und super nett. Unser bestelltes Essen wurde zeitnah an den Tisch gebracht. Vorspeise schon ein Traum, die Hauptspeisen absolut phantastisch und sehr sehr lecker. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder.
We were happy with our pizzas. It is good that they have vegetarian and vegan options. The portions were big. The place was busy and we waited considerably long for our meals. Some of us do not prefer drinking while eating but the way the staff asked for drinks multiple times made us feel pressured to order some drinks as well. We also got the vibe that they expect you to leave the minute you finish your meal. We paid EUR 10-12 for our pizzas which seemed fair.
Great attention to detail, delicious food, fair prices. However, pizza quattro formaggi with feta was strange for my taste.

Sensationelles Essen. Schöne Atmosphäre. Herzlicher Service, der noch etwas aufmerksamer sein könnte (Weinkarte unaufgefordert bringen, leere Gläser abräumen) aber das ist jammern auf hohem Niveau. ;-)
Dieser Italiener gehört zum benachbarten Hotel Eden. Das Personal ist freundlich, die Karte abwechslungsreich. Die Speisen in der Regel von guter Qualität. Der Garpunkt passt, die Würze reicht allerdings von fad bis sehr intensiv. Das ist etwas Glückssache. Besonders empfehlenswert sind die Bruscetta, die Pizza, und das Vanilleeis mit Espresso. Die Fischsuppe hat in meinem Fall keinen Fisch enthalten, dafür unendlich viele Muscheln und Calamari. All in all ein gutes Restaurant.
Habe gerade meine erste Pizza bei La Locanda abgeholt und verspeist.
Das war doch tatsächlich mit Abstand die beste (und dabei noch die größte und günstigste) Pizza, die ich in Göttingen bislang erstanden habe.

The restaurant has a old wood boat-marine atmosphere and the service has been great since the moment I entered in the place.
I ordered a Tagliatelle with Salmon and the Tiramisu. Both are highly recommended.

A great restaurant with super friendly staff and an extensive menu consisting of an assortment of Italian pastas and pizzas. I really liked my gongozola pasta and I would definitely recommend it. There were also many vegetarian options available in each category. The pizzas are customizable. The ambiance of the restaurant are super nice and I would suggest to reserve a table before hand as it tends to gets to capacity very soon.

Went at 21:40 for a late dinner, was served quickly a very tasty pizza. The tiramisu was the only dessert left and was good too. English was well spoken.
Went here for lunch by myself. I was asked right off the bat if I was paying with a credit card or cash because they don't take credit cards. I said I have cash. It took forever to get service after I sat down. In fact, another lady sat next to me who was also by herself and waited a very long time to order. We just looked at each other. The salad was good but the service was bad. I paid €15 for salad & coffee. Then I see that others were paying with a card.
Absolutely delicious food! The atmosphere of this restaurant is perfect. It’s cozy inside, and the winter garden area is very cute.

The ambience was great, and it is always crowded so I would reccomend making a reservation. They have different kinds of pastas and pizzas. They have a one or two vegetarian options in each category although they were more than happy to make some of the other pastas with meat into vegetarian on request. I would reccomend to visit once the price and portions were appropriate. Personally, the mushroom pizza was my favourite compared to the pasta.
Wonderful ambiente, delicious pizza, great meat dishes, and no fuss but really great quality of food and service. If they are fully booked, return later, as you will enjoy your meal for sure!
Wir waren ohne vorherige Reservierung da, kurz gewartet und schon durften wir platznehmen. Sehr nette aufmerksame Bedienung. Das Essen sehr lecker, tolle Auswahl auf der Karte. Alles frische Zutaten, die Auswahl der Vorspeisen fand ich sehr ansprechend. Konnte mich kaum entscheiden, weil ich alles gerne probiert hätte.
Falls es uns nochmals nach Göttingen verschlagen sollte...auf jeden Fall wieder.

Fairly good place to have some Italian dishes in a casual style venue.
The Speghetti Carbonara is really impressive. And the waiter is also very friendly. I enjoyed it a lot.
It does have a good location, waiters aren’t welcoming, food is very average and very expensive.

环境还可以，客人也很少，但是菜的质量solala, 这个价位的食物，可能食物本身的质量或味道，跟不上价格的脚步。
The food is very delicious and staff are very good. Their recommendations are really good. I would also recommend to try their dessert it was very yummy.

Food seems microwaved and is very salty, but people seem to love it here. Our friends enjoyed their evening and the atmosphere is unique. A bit like an old writers pub, but also a bit too dirty and sticky. The prices are low and the portions huge, they came very fast and tasted microwaved... They were incredibly hot, which when you have a small child is not ideal.
We had Pasta Carbonara and it was really great. The bacon was perfect and so was the pasta and sauce. I gmbad the Tempranillo red wine and my driving buddy had a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. Mine was better. If you want to eat pasta and drink a nice glass of red wine, come here. Friendly and nice staff.

Good food but be aware they do not accept Visa or Mastercard only the German EC card - having been in Germany for the last 2 weeks in a number of cities which happily accepted Mastercard this was quite a surprise.

I arrived at 9:50pm with a hungry group of ten persons from overseas (México). The young manager (super german) refused to give us a table although the restaurant was still lively and 75% full. Google maps mentioned open until 0:00.
But surprisingly he accepted a take away order for my 9 guests and he wanted literally made us eat in the street... What a strange experience. No clue about Italian hospitality and the bad image of German cuisine.
At the end the great Italian chief worked overtime and realized a turnover of 250€ delivering great food... And imagine we were allowed to eat at the table from the brown take away bags. Qué pendejo ! He should work in Catanzaro south Italia to learn his business.

We had a great time in this restaurant. They had amazing wine and we felt welcomed because of their warm behaviour. I also ordered an eggplant with mozzarella and tomato sauce which was really delicious. I would definitely go again!
The place is amazing, and the food is so delicious. And the staff are lovely and they have nice customer care. It's a place I recommend visiting when you are in Gottingen.
I've been here too many times and I've never been disappointed, I'm actually almost always positively surprised! Just keep in mind that they may be full and you'd rather have a reservation than hope you'll be squeezed in.

Elegant old fashioned Italian atmosphere
Schönes Ambiente, freundliches Personal und angenehme Atmosphäre. Ich hatte Spaghetti frutti di Mare. Das war leider nicht so überzeugend. Recht kleine Portion, wenig Meeresfrüchte und insgesamt nicht dem Preis entsprechend. Das Essen meiner beiden Begleitungen war allerdings ziemlich gut. Deshalb gibt es doch insgesamt 4/5 Sternen. Als Dessert hatte ich ein tiramisu. Das war ebenfalls lecker.

Quite a good option for Italian food in Göttingen. The orata (sparus aurata) was delicious! And, the service was very friendly and welcoming.
Horrible experience. Owner threw a tantrum at us for nothing. Surreal feeling when an owner is cursing you in Italian in front of his packed restaurant.

Good Italien food, and nice service. From the outside it does not look like much, but go in and see the little nice garten where you can sit and enjoy a bit of Italien. The locals are eating here as well.
Went in because it smelled nice a couple of hours before opening. Boy, how this restaurant did not disappoint. The green pepper steak and the Mandus Primitivo wine were so good, they actually made me cry. I go to a lot of Italians, some best rated in Europe and this was really exceptionally good. The kids had oven gnocchi and spaghetti carbonara. We had tiramisu all three of us and I was tempted to try the homemade pannacotta after my tiramisu had I not eaten a huge steak with roasted potatoes, brocoli for 2 and a salad on the side. The decor is warm and authentic too and the (small) wine selection is simply one of the best I have ever seen in a restaurant without pretentiousness. What a surprise in Göttingen.

They have nice range of appetizers and pizzas. A few vegetarian and vegan options aswell. The restaurant is always crowded so I would recommended to make a reservation before hand. The outdoot seating is very nice during the summers. The taste and style of pizzas is very authentic.
Good food, great service. The chef is an Italian man with charisma and flair. We stepped in without knowing what to expect. Expectations greatly exceeded. Tip: let the man make you something nice. We didn’t regret it.

Certainly one of the best Italian restaurant in Göttingen. If you put yourself in a chill state of mind and just enjoy hanging out with your friends with excellent wine and delicious food then the small issues with the service won’t bother you.

Beautiful restaurant with delicious Italian food
Our favourite Sicillian restaurant in Göttingen. Have been going there for more than 25 years. A place for celebrating anniversaries and weddings etc. , too. Always very nice and friendly hosts. They prepare Italian food according to your preferences. They strictly run the necessary rules according to Covid 19 preventions. Hope they will survive even the latest pandemic wave!

Don't get fooled by the good reviews here. After we ordered pizza with seafood, we had to wait over an hour for Lieferando delivery then the pizza was dripping of oil and the seafood had a foul smell. I don't recommend

Highly overrated. They had lost our reservation and initially refused to give us a table (what kind of business turns away 8 costumers?). In the meantime, the male waiter was so rude in his refusal to even consider that it might have been their mistake forgetting the reservation. Finally, they gave us a table. We all ordered our main course and three members also ordered antipasto. They served the antipasto, and 90 minutes later served the main course meaning apart from the three individuals, the rest of the group were sitting there for an hour and a half waiting for their food. Unfortunately, this was a work meeting, otherwise I would not have sat there. Then, the food arrives. I had ordered their peae pizza. It was literally bread topped with 5 paper-thin slices of pear and some underwhelming sauce. It was basically pita bread for dinner. To top this off, we had to leave pur tablw and one by one go to their desk to pay with our cards instead of the waiter bring the machine to us. And they think they are some top quality restaurant.

Food is fine, but the service is lacking. The staff is very overwhelmed, it's difficult to get their attention and they keep running away before you finish ordering. The place is also uncomfortably loud.
The food is decent. The place, however, is extremely loud with most of the noise actually made by the stuff. Also, getting a waiter's attention felt quite challenging every time, it feels like this place is understaffed.

This restaurant was recommended by an Italian friend and I'm so glad we tried it out! The wine and the food were so delicious, and the owner is quite friendly. The best item was the bruchetta, I've never had anything so delicious in my life. I'll be back for sure.

Quaint Italian joint in the outskirts of Göttingen. Both waiters speak English. Try the deep fried calzone!

Good food, reasonable prices, efficient service. The food will not be insanely good, but that's not a criticism. Solidly unpretentious is, well, under-rated!

They have a broad menu where everyone can find something. The service is very nice and friendly. They welcome family parties and reservations up to 30 people. The atmosphere is old but cozy and nice :)
Like many "Italian" restaurants in Germany, La Romantica's food is hardly Italian. It was pretty miserable, actually. We were there with a large group and our food came out at wildly different times. Its proximity to the Weende Sporthalle is convenient. Prices are moderate. But don't expect well prepared Italian dishes.

Great Italian food with great Italian staff. The meals are always delivered in the same quality and prepared with fresh ingredients. It can be quite crowded in this place, so be sure to make reservation when you go in peak hours. Prices are in the upper region.

excellent atmosphere, great food, a lovely place. You forget you are in Goettingen and its a shock when you walk out the door, as you half expect to find yourself in Southern Italy after such a lovely meal. Prices on pizza are a great value, and there are a number of specials that change daily. It is a winner in the city center.
