I walked in and asked for a table for 6 people at 8 pm. The hostess told me it would be an hour even though there were plenty of open tables in both dining rooms and the patio. I told my friend who had yet to arrive who does speak Spanish to go in and ask for a table while the rest of us were waiting outside by the doors. She got a table within two minutes and so after being told an hour we were seated 5-10 minutes later. The paella tasted like seafood fried rice from a Chinese restaurant. The sangria was great and very affordable. The servers were amazing and very attentive. Overall, I will not be coming back as English speaking people were clearly not being served equally.
The restaurant near Gothic Quarter offers a delightful culinary experience. We ordered a variety of dishes including baby scallops, Argentina premium ribeye steak, Linguine in squid ink with Prawns, Octopus, Mussels and Calamari and Roasted Octopus. Each dish was prepared with care, showcasing delicate flavors and presented beautifully on the plate. The ambiance was trendy, adding to the overall dining experience. Service was excellent, attentive, and friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

We ordered the steak, medium; after nearly 1.5hr, we still haven’t got the fish fillet and steak, we wanted to cancel it. After asking server a couple of times, server said he would get the steak immediately. Steak was served, but was rare. My wife called the server and wanted to return it. Server immediately said no return, you either take it as it is or we take it back and make it well done. So I told the server to get his manager. Manager was nice and understanding after I nicely explained what happened. He canceled the steak.
Later on, the server came and gave me the check then asked for tips. He said tips are included in the check. Well, I was nice to tip €15 anyway.

The only reason for the 4 stars on service was that Viana has adopted the imo annoying habit of providing menus by app and then leaving you to it which doesn’t give you much to go on if you’ve poor (mobile) service and you can’t get onto the WiFi, we also didn’t know whether we were supposed to be ordering from the app direct or whether it was just a menu (it’s just a menu, you still order from the waiting staff). However, after we got past that and into the food, the staff were lovely and the food was indeed beautifully presented with taste to match (my apologies for the picture of where a scallop used to be on my plate, it looked so tasty I forgot to take a picture and just dived in!)

Went here for my birthday. Amazing food. The place is a Michelin guide restaurant. Our server was kind and quick. It did not disappoint! Would recommend.
This is a lovely restaurant in Barrio Gotic. I accidentally made a reservation for later than I thought I had, and they helped us with such kindness by finding a table even though they were full. The service was very polite, the food was great and the wines were very good. The duck confit appetizer was delicious. The veal ravioli was also excellent.
Quaint restaurant with excellent ambience, food and service. Jimena really took care of us. The prix fix menu was excellent. I enjoyed the octopus, duck salad and the tartar! Recommend the pork.

This small, tight place was amazing, don't be fooled by its size. These guys serve great quality and beautifully presented food. Great service and atmosphere. We were, in a way , lucky to sit next to where the chef was doing his magic, but also in the way of the servers, remember I said tight place above, and it was great to see him work and have a brief word with him. We had the octopus, codfish, and caneloni, all amazing. Staff was amazing, explaining the dishes, giving recommendations, and extremely relatable. If you happen to be in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter, you will make yourself a favor going here, but need to be planned, so small you will likely need a reservation.
Hands down THE best food and service we had the whole 3 days in Barcelona. We struggled to reserve a table and almost didn’t end up coming but I’m so glad we did. I can’t even describe how good the food was - every single dish was like a mouthful of flavour. The staff were excellent and so attentive. I don’t normally write reviews but I couldn’t not after the food and service we had. I wish we could come again! We had the taster menu but also added in the croquettes which I highly recommend getting the meat and fish option for both. The beef rib actually beat my beef cheek main but glad we tried both
Probably one of the best restaurants in the area. Steaks prepared precisely as ordered. Tuna tartare had a great texture. Salads prepared with very fresh ingredients.

Intimate and cosy high-end restaurant, well hidden in a quiet street in the otherwise rather busy El Born district. The ambience is inviting and perfect for a romantic dinner. The staff are very professional and obviously take pride in their work. The dishes are high quality, a little pricey, but absolutely worth it. Among other things, we tried the shrimp carpaccio - absolutely amazing - and the scorpion fish - delicious. We will definitely be back.
This was our last night in Barcelona; we made it a date night and spend the ehole night first at the restaurant , and then up in the bar .

Got recommendation to visit this restaurant from my friends and it was very nice restaurant atmosphere with a great food. I order the fish cooked in salt as recommended by the staff. They will show you the raw fish and then comes with flaming salt covered the fish - after that they will put the flesh in your plate - Very nice with juicy texture and flavorful fish flesh perfect combination with the rice as a side.
Try the octopus cooked with pork also nice - the meat tender, juicy and have a rich aroma and flavor. Great companion with their Kawa or Spanish sparkling wine.

I really highly recommend this place for a delicious dinner and drinks. My boyfriend and I went to dine at this restaurant when on vacation to Barcelona. We had a reservation but had trouble finding the place because they have two restaurants (one for big groups and one for small groups) this was not a problem however because we had gone to the wrong Viana, and the waiter offered to escort us to the other one where we had our reservation. Very very good service and the sweetest waiters and chef I’ve ever met.

Had the pork Iberico with sweet potato which usually I’m not fond of but it was really good. Rack of lamb was also very good. The mushrooms starter from ‘getting warm’ section was amazing. Wine was good quality. Great service, lovely waitress who attended to us. Restaurant was full and had a nice atmosphere

The place is located in the historical center of Barcelona and used to be stable back in the time. So it definitely adds to a romantic atmosphere with its bare stone walls and arched vault sealing. However, the atmosphere isn't the reason why I have stopped there. It was highly recommended to me by my friend, and they did not fail my expectations. Everything was fresh and tasty. I really enjoyed their burrata, tuna tartare, and veal cheek ravioli. The server was very kind and friendly. I came in the middle of the day for lunch, but I assume if you want to have dinner there, then a reservation is recommended.

Me and my boyfriend came here on our last day in Barcelona after getting a recommendation from a lovely lady we met at another restaurant. This place is absolutely beautiful inside and we felt very underdressed for the occasion but none of the staff even batted an eye at us. All of the staff here are incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcome. Our server was Vijay and he was absolutely amazing, the food was delicious we had the classic mixed paella and a couple of starters. The whole menu is great value for money and was definitely the best seafood and paella we had during our time in Barcelona. Would 100% recommend coming here !!

A culinary delight that surprised me and challenged what I thought bar food can be. The dishes were amazing, with the sauce being the star on thinly sliced ingredients. The service was engaging, funny, and informed of the culture.
Standouts were Mushrooms and Wasabi, and Beets and Miso, the beef and cream sauce, and the most perfect Bread with Tomato. Perfection of oil and salt and flavor without being heavy. White wine by Biu very complex and good smell and color.

We went to the restaurant 3 of our 4 nights in Barcelona. Tasty food, reasonable prices and friendly staff. Maybe a little bit too crowded, but the place is popular. You usually need to wait for a table, but not more than 10 minutes.
What an exceptional experience! The service was fantastic - we missed our reservation by about 20 minutes, but they were able to accommodate us.
We started with the truffle egg, pan con tomate, and fresh tomatoes and olives. It was a very fresh start to the meal. The truffle egg was our favorite…the truffle flavor was subtle but noticeable, and it was even better with a bit of fresh bread.

Sandra recommended dishes, and seeing I wanted to try more, she said I'll half it for you and guided me through recommendations. She even told me things not to get. Throughout the meal, she saw I was blown away by the food and even wrote down the ingredients for one of the dishes!! One of the sandwiches I didn't know how to eat and looked confused; a server looks over and starts pretending to eat a sandwich with her hands and she looked like she was very much enjoying the imaginary sandwiches. I was amused and grateful. I had a great time, so I was ready to leave a tip. But after Martina rings me up, she just say, "Thankk you have a nice evening". I was very confused. It turns out you have to ask to put a tip on. So....they did all that not expecting tip!?!? Sandra said, "Oh well" ....lol...so I asked to leave tip in usd, as I didn't have euros. Also, when I was about to use the bathroom, Martina sai, "Givee me your bag" to watch it. How incredibley thoughtful. I really had a great time.

This place is a must go while in Barcelona! The food is deltas so many vegan options! As a vegan I was skeptical looking at the menu at first glance, but our waiter, Leonardo, gave several recommendations that were vegan friendly! I highly highly highly recommend this place and ask for Leonardo! He was an amazing waiter. He gave fantastic recommendations, was friendly, and when we wanted more wine or added items to our order he quickly submitted the tickets to the kitchen! The food was delicious and the wine list was amazing and affordable! I had the artichoke ravioli with a coconut curry sauce and a veggie plate! My husband had steak! All so yummy!
One of the premises that you can enjoy tasty seafood and tapas in Barcelona. We tried many things and all were so tasty. Good selection of wines as well. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

This is definitely the best place to eat while in Barcelona. Perfect food, atmosphere, waiters are great. Although it might take a bit while you will be seated, but it is worth waiting for sure.

Cosy like place oozing with great vibes. Dishes were hit and miss though. We loved the mochis bravos, crispy suckling pig (peach and amaretto sauce was to die for), and the chef’s pappardelle. Unfortunately the duck cannelloni, baby squid and veal stew tacos were a little too one dimensional and wasn’t as exciting as the other dishes.

Excellent food. We had the mixed paella and the black rice paella. Both were fantastic. For starters, we had the fried olives and the chicken croquettes. We also had the Sangria tinto, which was amazing. Highly recommend this place.
What a lovely experience! Service was impeccable, the food was wonderful, and the space was fantastic. The starter dishes of Brie truffle mochi and onion mousse were delicious, the pea dish was INCREDIBLE, and I loved the dishware! I also got the non-alcoholic pairing which suited my meal perfectly. Highly recommend.

Wonderful restaurant with tasty food, great and friendly service, and a wonderful atmosphere. We happened to walk in and were delighted. They have a wonderful selection on their menu and everything was delicious. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely go back.

Had an amazing Valentine’s Day in this restaurant - the food was amazing and the service super friendly!
We went on the recommendation of friends of ours who also visited. You cannot reserve and there was a line, but after 5 mins we got a table (at the bar). The people who work here are friendly and attentive. Our food and drinks were coming at a very fast pace and were absolutely fantastic. We had in total around 8 main dishes and 4 desserts with 1/2 sangria and 2 small bottles of water. The totality of the bill was super doable for 2.
We enjoyed this restaurant VERY much. Sit inside at the counter to watch the magic happen! sliced and fried artichokes are a must try. The eggplant and goat cheese salad was amazing. Order the octopus! And their Sangria was excellent. Super service and fun vibe. Very affordable. We will go back!

The food is incredible, the service is kind and professional! Seditious try the caviar bite. The reason for the 4 stars is the huge flags hanging just outside of the restaurant that made me as a Jewish woman feel uncomfortable and a bit of fear that I’m not welcome. I hope this is not the intention and that everyone are welcome 🙏🏼

Our camarera Andrea was engaging and greeted us in both Spanish and English, and was very inquisitive about which language was preferred. She engaged each of us appropriately upon each visit to our table. I wish there were more people like Andrea in this world!

Several pieces of chicken were burnt pretty bad on the burger. Veal was not prepared well in addition only 2/3 onions were present on the plate, definitely not worth the price. Service at first was good, but near the end of the evening far below standard.

Among all the restaurants I’ve explored in Barcelona, this one stands out as the best in terms of dish taste. Every bite was a delight. (The attentive service, while they served everything directly to our plates, may not lend itself to the most aesthetic presentation, but I can assure that everything was perfect.) The absolute attentiveness of the staff and the exceptional taste of dishes together make this place deserving of a solid 10/10 for an outstanding dining experience.

Second, your team is strong and well trained. The servers are cooperative and attractive, the wines recommended by a young girl are so good and match the dishes. Marta is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and she explained all the dishes in detail to us.
Nadia was in charge of the kitchen that night, and my wife was very pleased for her. She is charming, looks confident, shows professional, skillful, and takes responsibility.

Very nice tapas places. Food is delicious with unusual mix of flavours but it’s all well thought and prepared.
The attention to details and the attention towards the client is great,they have always been attentive to us.
The environment is cozy and well maintained in a centric location,great for finding a place for drinks after dinner.
Only one “bad” note: they put bread on the table that we did not ask and they charged for it. It’s not a big deal but still,it’s not nice to offer something if you have to charge dormir without the client to know,it makes it look like a tourist trap which is not what this place is.

Wow o wow, the best of best in Barcelona. Had incredible food and the service is amazing as well. Do not forget to check out the bathroom, it’s a piece of work. Very expensive place but the food and service makes up for it.
Wowww!!! Food was delectable. I visited Bar del Pla 3x during my one week stay in Barcelona. It was very convenient from my hotel location and I really wanted to try as many items as possible from the menu. I went around 5pm and always found a seat at the bar. It is a great place for solo travellers because you are bound to meet someone new. The servers are efficent and food comes out quickly. The patatas bravas was my favourite here, the sauce was incredible. The mushroom salad is raw and although it sounds weird, its sooooo good. The beef cannoloni was really delicious too. The puff pastry dessert filled with custard was scrumptious. Food was impeccable and served super fresh/hot. Cannot wait to return next time I am in Barcelona!!
This was a recommendation from a local and it was clearly a popular local place given the line/wait. It was only a few minutes before I was seated at the bar. Another local (while I was in line) recommended a strange dish and it did not disappoint - mushrooms and wasabi. Wow! The staff were nice and professional and establishment was clean. The other food (ham and mushroom croquette) was terrific.
One of our best experiences in Barcelona. Coming from NYC expectations can be a bit different but Boca Grande was a great choice. The restaurant is located in an affluent area. The hostess and waiters provide excellent service. We were impressed by every dish/tapas. The decor is beautiful and quite intimate even though table s might be a bit too close to each other. The pistachio shaped dessert was our favorite part of the night

The waiter said the salad was small and only for one person, so we ordered several for the table. The waiter either lied or was clueless because they are definitely big enough for 2-3 people to share.
Overall, I would definitely go back, but would order less and stick to the star attractions.

We came in straightly after they opened so there was no wait, but the place filled up quickly. We enjoyed every single dish we ordered. Definitely one of the top spots we tried in Barcelona. I enjoyed the ox tail brioche.
I cannot speak highly enough about this place. I will start first from the excellent service given that it was also New Year’s Eve. The food was lovely with an interesting variety of tapas, which included not only the common ones, and all the waiters went the extra mile. We followed the grapes spanish tradition when the year changed and the atmosphere was amazing. Overall, it was an excellent choice that I can’t recommend highly enough!
I highly recommend this restaurant! It was a lovely setting, the service was friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious. We had blackberry mojitos - excellent - and then the testing menu, which was lovely. And then the owner was kind enough to call us a cab, which we totally appreciated. If you have the chance to go while you're in Barcelona, you should.

Best vegetable Paella I’ve ever had! I love this restaurant, it’s one of those places you just need to visit whilst in Barcelona to get the real Catalan experience! The service is so good, the waiters all have great recommendations, especially with the wine list. The best thing about this restaurant is that you can order a Paella for 1 person (almost every restaurant in Barcelona has Paella minimum 2 people on their menu)
The first night when we were walking around our hotel in Barcelona, we ran into this place. However, we didn't have a reservation and the waiting time was over 1.5 hours. Hence, the following day we made reservations and went with a bigger group. Unfortunately, as we had other plans we had to rush. Therefore only ordered 2 items and some Cava.
The service was good. The tapas were definitely fresh and delicious. Wished we were able to spend a little more time but glad we at least got to try some tapas. Would love to visit again the next time we are in Barcelona.

Initially we wanted to have some cocktails so we were chatting with the security personnel (very helpful And friendly) and we were told that while we have drinks they could arrange a table for dinner. We had a large group but they were good at getting a table ready for us within about 45 minutes. It worked out perfectly as we were enjoying some cocktails upstairs on the premises.
When it came to service, it wasn't consistent. Some staff were extremely friendly and had a great attitude while some lacked even a smile. The place has a great ambience along with good food but the lack of consistency in good service was noticeable and hopefully will be rectified as it affected the overall experience.
This isn't a place to dine at if you are on a budget. It is recommended to make a reservation and dress up to visit this place to keep up with the atmosphere. The extensive selection of wines and cocktails will not disappoint you.

While walking on the streets of Barcelona, we came across this fantastic restaurant. We decided to walk and we were greeted by a friendly member of the staff. They were quite full but we were lucky to get a table within about 10 minutes of waiting.

This place is incredible. Every bite was special and thought out. The waiters were attentive and the prices were very good for the quality of food. Save room the chocolate cake was life changing.

With its extraordinary speed table service, I think this is the best one and you must try food here yourself and you will miss here forever. Friendly staff and the interior space is nice. The absolute best pistachio tiramisu ever! You must try it. It's outstanding. Very flavourful. You can take the pistachio and it's rich and creamy.

This was my first and hands down the BEST culinary experience while in Barcelona. There was a wait and a few people in line in-front of us but the food was worth the wait! The tapas were out of this world!!! The croquets were amazing and so was the beef stew with mushrooms. The tomato bread is a MUST. The mushroom salad with wasabi dressing was super interesting as well! Service was great. It’s a crowded spot so it’s loud and busy.
Dinner tonight is delightful. Good service. If you are to be seated at the main dinning area at the main place, there’s live piano music. Decent portion of food. I ordered the mixed grilled fish and seafood for two without salt and it’s delicious. The paella is on the salty side. We enjoyed the food very much in general.

This food is unmatched. The best tapas we had in Spain. Service was a little challenging to engage with. Space is quite loud much like other tapas locations. Be prepared to wait a little bit but the food makes it worth it. Ox tail sandwich is incredible
Made a reservation on August 11 for October 28 for 6 of us. Walked up to the restaurant on time and we were told that they have us in a special private dining room and took us back out to next door. What we entered was their daytime office with a makeshift table - no music, no atmosphere - photos show everything below. Then when I asked why we are sitting here and why nobody warned us ahead, they apologized and said they were very busy and told us that if we wanted to we could cancel. 6 people on a Saturday night at 9pm and they tell us we can cancel. Food was good, luckily our company was good, but everything else about it was absolutely unacceptable. They did comp us about 300 euros worth in a bill of 1000 - next day we found out we were bumped because of Mick Jagger - regardless horrible dining experience - didn't even get to meet Mick.

Well damn. This place was good. Continuing on our dinners by Google review, we found Sensi, and they did not disappoint. Tucked away down an alleyway masquerading as a street, Sensi is a relatively small spot that punches above it's weight class. Service is excellent, despite being handled only by two servers and the hostess. Attention is enough without being overbearing.
On to the food. We got 6 tapas and a dessert. We were told right at the beginning that the recommendation is 2-3 per person, and I found this to be spot on. We ordered the cheese plate (yum), cauliflower (also yum), the octopus (may have been the best I've ever had), catch of the day with pumpkin puree (possibly the weakest dish, and it was still excellent), truffle ravioli (hot damn), and the braised lamb (in the words of my wife - the best lamb I might have ever had).

Let me tell you a story of our worst Barcelona culinary experience. Very nice place however they have false advertisement. The menu says that paellas are 20euro and a minimum of two persons to order. They however actually charge you 20 euro per person for the paella so they upcharge to 40 euros total. We ordered the chicken paella and when it arrived it had maybe 1/3 of a teenaged chicken on top with it being mostly bones and skin. The rice was crunchy and very greasy and both items were void of salt and flavor.
When we approached the waiter after eating(we already waited so much for it and we were starving) and noted our dissatisfaction he proceeded to curse at my wife telling her to go back to the slums! What kind of classless trash speaks to women out the door? There must be way better paellas in the city and most definitely places were they are not rude and straight up ghetto.

What a wonderful place! The best Tapas I've ever had and that says a lot as I'm pretty picky when it comes down to food. Great service and beautiful location. Worth visiting! Tip: reserve up front as the place was completely packed and people where waiting in line outside.
A great place to enjoy Barcelona food in the city centre. We ate around 3.30 on a Saturday after 25 minutes wait. The place was full, but they were managing the constant stream of clients very efficiently. We stayed at the bar and enjoyed seeing the food being prepared. The beer was cool, the food was excellent, the lobster rice is a must. I highly recommend paying a visit here, do not be scared of the big queue.

Great quality products, especially the cigala a la plancha! The carpaccio was delicious too. The toast with caviar is highly recommended although it is a bite, not a toast.

We arrived at 6:50pm and although they said they opened at 8pm they spoke to the kitchen and could cook all but one of the mains (an hour before opening)! We had potatoes and beef slices for starters and the were wonderful. The mains were fantastic although the staff convinced me have the veal medium well, not well (good choice). The staff were great and we enjoyed our food and would highly recommend the atmosphere the staff created. Ohh, and having the resteraunt to ourselves before 8pm was wonderful. Thank you!

We went here on our last night in Barcelona and it was a great way to finish an amazing trip. We ordered the chorizo, paella, and rib eye steak. The best was the seafood paella. Highly recommend this dish. We finished off our meal with tiramasu, which was just divine. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

This is the first time at a high end restaurant that I actually had to spit out a bite of food, it was that bad. The desserts were delicious, as was the eel in shiso leaf starter. And the bread course. But that’s all. There was a complete lack of texture to almost all of the dishes. The combination of flavors was questionable. And the seasoning was either under or unbalanced.
Service was awful. We arrived a couple minutes early- were seated promptly, then ignored. No one came to explain the meal to us, ask us about wine, or anything for 10 minutes. We were just sitting there waiting as everyone else in the restaurant was served wine & water, including a couple that got there after us.
Once the meal started, everything was just off. Wine glasses were dirty. I saw a server hold mine up as he brought it to the table, taking note of the grime on the inside, but then poured wine in it anyways. Cutlery and table settings were all beautiful, but clunked down unevenly by disinterested staff. Used/dirty dishes and glasses not removed from table after completion, so the table started to fill up with dirty dishes. Our water glasses were almost always empty. We had to ask the server to refill them on several occasions.

We had crispy chicken burger for lunch during a very rainy day. The glass extension doesn’t hold the water out so we had to change sits to stay away from dripping water. Starters good but burgers were not crispy and not tasty at all. Both me and my colleague agreed it wasn’t nice at all. Service amazing and staff very helpful
Great place overall. Excellent service and mind-blowing caviar toast. I deducted one star off for the mediocre prawn experience.
I'm a seafood lover and a huge fan of Spanish prawns. To put into perspective, I was in Spain for a week and had a 72 gambas & carabineros!
Here, the John Dory fish was enjoyable but their Roses Red Prawns were rather disappointing. €38 per piece but they tasted like the tiger prawns sold in huge buckets commonly found everywhere back at my home, Thailand. We ordered two each but after having the first, didn't even want the second; it was just meh.
Having said that, I'd go back for their caviar toast and cheesecake!

A truly wonderful seafood experience. I wanted to try a mix of small bites, so I ordered from the chef’s menu and the regular menu.
The sea urchin was something magical. I had a memory flash back of my summer’s in Ustica, a Sicilian island, where we would sometimes take 1 or 2 fresh sea urchins and eat them with bread on the boat. I must say the mix with mango and caviar made it even more special.
The prawn carpaccio was as fresh as it gets, hence had a smooth and buttery flavor to it. Plus combined with the crunchy toasted homemade bruschetta, it’s a perfect appetizer with a glass of white wine.
The main dish, their famous fried calamari, disposed like an art work, with dots of squid ink and lime mixed together, were the perfect pairing.
The desert was truly insane, an oven cooked cheesecake was just an incredible finish. To be fair I’ve never had it so it was my first time trying it and I will be definitely making sure I find it again.
Strongly suggest this restaurant while you’re staying in Barcelona for an authentic and extra fresh seafood experience.

It wasn't bad. I will tell you about the pros and cons of this institution. I'll start with the fact that everything is very beautiful, starting with the restaurant itself, ending with the serving of dishes. A very, very pleasant atmosphere and a non-standard approach. We were a little late and no one met us when we entered the restaurant, everyone was sitting in their seats, the staff saw us and continued to go about their business until we ourselves came up with simple questions, like where to sit and where to hang our clothes. I think that for a restaurant with a Michelin award, this is unacceptable. Waiters mostly pay attention to those who drink alcohol, apparently because they make a big check. The only thing I would like to thank the brown-haired girl with curly hair (I don't know her name, unfortunately), she was very attentive to us, always poured water without asking, quickly brought the appliances and cleaned our table. The food itself and the quality of service confused me. Most of all, I did not like the dish, which consists entirely of peas, and my husband was burned with artichoke. Also, he was served tea in a rusty kettle, guys, this is not a service))
Overall, it was very interesting, but will we come back here again? Probably not.
