We go to Ocean Basket quite often. But today the fish & salad was particularly nice. Gosh !!! So flavourful & calamari strips divine. Plus the new OB wet wipes smell fantastic 🙌🏼. Waiter Freddy was excellent 👌

They have the best sea food and the prices are very affordable. The quantity of the food is amazing. They still offer the little starter bread. The food was delicious and the waitress was amazing

Food was well prepared. Though its a pity my first bite had like 11 fish bones. That made the experience slightly unenjoyable. The atmosphere made it hard to enjoy the evening. The music was barely noticeable and the dude in the kitchen was VERY overzealous in his duties with the klokie. Someone at the sushi bar seemed upset to be there as he was banging away the entire evening. Our waiter made ordering drinks very awkward as "we don't have any appetizer sorry" the one moment and then " there's not grapetizer either so someone is going to get appletizer" and then "after the drink was opened at the table, we were hit with "it's still hot is that okay?" Kinda late for that isn't it? No serviettes on the table and it was hard to find our waiter to ask for service. The Canal walk branch really isn't a vibe and if I ever support ocean basket again, it would be at the paddocks.

First time trying the Ocean Basket in Century City, and I was not disappointed :)
Really excellent Hake (two pieces) and six well prepared prawns !!! The chips could have been crisper, but I enjoyed them nevertheless :)

Always a quick stop for my family and I before we hit the City Bus tour. The space is neat and tidy, but be warned that it gets extremely busy and if you are not a fan of clinking cutlery then steer clear. The food however, is extremely fresh and delicious (based on the meals I've tried). Service is also excellent.

I’ve been to CPT a few times and one thing I’m regretful of is not finding this spot earlier because the breakfast there was exceptionally good food. 😌

Our favorite outdoor restaurant! Lovely leafy shade, bubbly fountain, excellently prepared foods. Attentive service in a relaxed setting.

What a wonderful Christmas lunch! From seamless booking via Dineplan to arriving at a magnificent setting in the courtyard to excellent service and a memorable, sublime Christmas menu offering. Divine grilled halloumi and calamari, Greek lamb and potatoes (which were the star course) and we ended off with Baklava and ice cream. Bliss. There were other choices but we all seemed to go for the lamb as a main. Thank you The Greek Fisherman. Going out on Christmas Day for lunch is usually hit and miss but not in this case.

We had mid-week lunch here with friends. Very nice atmosphere, sitting outside in the courtyard under umbrellas. The food was great but the service was very very slow. Our wine glasses were empty and it was impossible to get hold of another bottle ! The food took ages too but when it came it was good. Try the fried calamari, the sole and the lambshank. Yum !

Nice place, good ambiance and good food. The waiters were very friendly and welcoming. I ordered the grilled kingklip. The food was good but the meal could have taken more sauce, 1- because the sauce is delicious and 2- because the fish itself doesn’t have much taste.
This was my first time visiting, but i would come back for a more accurate review

Well placed corner Main Road and the Beach at Seapoint, very friendly staff, reasonable prices , we have been very happy and satisfied with our dishes .

A great spot for a relaxed and tasty chillout lunch. The menu is super appealing, service super friendly and helpful and the food is just amazing!

All aspects were excellent, just as the high ratings suggest.
While the outdoor dining in the garden seemed delightful, we chose to dine indoors.
The young male waiter was kind and exceptionally polite. He provided detailed explanations of the menu and took care of every detail, for which we are grateful.
I ordered appetizers, soup, and a main course. The portions were larger than I had imagined, and I ended up eating too much. There were many other enticing items on the menu, so I look forward to visiting again.

Superb! Absolutely the best bagel I’ve tried. I had the pulled beef bagel. Great service and nice ambiance. I would definitely come back again. Well done and keep up the good work!

Lovely food and great service at the Greek fisherman. Fancied something different to steak and the fish was fantastic here. Catered for allergies very well. Our waiter Luke talked us through the gluten free options in great detail and generally very helpful. Nice relaxed vibe in the restaurant. Would recommend.

Ordered the lunch box meal and to my surprise it was very filling. The service was great and food was so tasty yum. Ocean Basket’s sauce never disappoints.

The chicken schnitzel bagel was sooooo good. Best bagel, made in house it’s light fluffy and crunchy. Honestly the best bagel I ever had. Better than Montreal bagels. The chicken was thick and juicy with perfect crust. We had the lamb gozleme which is like a quesadilla. So freaking good with melted cheese. Get their iced latte, was like heavenly. Love this place, Lina served us and she was the best. Recommend to anyone who comes to Cape Town.

I came here for a stand-up comedy show, I booked the table and bought tickets (on quicket)beforehand so everything was smooth and easy.
The down side though was that it took them close to an hour to prepare the food. Yes, it was a busy night, but... how long could one take to make nachos?

The food was good when it finally arrived, and the comedians were brilliant. They have comedy shows on the first Thursday of every month, and tickets are ±R200.

I'm giving them a full 5 stars because even though it was an evening show, we were allowed to bring a baby with us. I know most people hate babies in social areas, but I'm so grateful that the new mother could enjoy the show without feeling like an outcast or experiencing judgement.

I will definitely be going back for more shows. The host is great as well, very welcoming, and down to earth.

Wow!!! What amazing food! The owner of the restaurant was friendly and welcoming! The waiters and waitresses were friendly and and offered great advice on the food. The chefs made absolutely gorgeous food! We will definitely be back for more! I can't wait to visit the new restaurant in Sea Point too! 😍

The ambience is lovely, but the food fails to live up to the vibe. The booths' upholstery is worn and torn, which seems out of place for the location of the restaurant in the trendy Silo District.
Our waitress was just functional and looked like she would rather be somewhere else. She was distinctly disinterested and couldn't even manage a fake smile to welcome us.
No manager came to check on us or our food, which was quite meh. If you're a lover of chicken wings, don't bother ordering theirs as they were a complete letdown.
The saving grace of the night was the delicious zucchini fries.

Went for a two friends birthday. Was a good evening out.

When we phoned to book we mentioned dietary restrictions as one of our friends has severe IBS and other problems and they weren't too enthusiastic about our questions and requests. He landed up just having the chicken.

Staff were amazing. Super friendly and great service. The kitchen was pretty fast for an end of month Saturday night.

We enjoyed pizza, burgers, tapas and the chocolate brownie. We also had beers and cocktails.

We asked for two birthday brownies but only received one with a happy birthday message.

I understand that we went on a Saturday evening and the dj was trying to set a vibe but the music was so loud we found ourselves shouting at one another.

The tapas or the haloumi was presented in lettuce cups to make it look like more than it was. It was quite a small portion of haloumi.

The mojito seemed like mostly ice and lemon that had a small amount of soda added with the alcohol. Wasn't too impressed with the cocktails.

Also they allow hooka smoke inside and on cold evenings all the windows and doors are closed so the air ventilation wasn't great. It didn't bother me but may be a deciding factor for someone else with kids.

Great vegan burgers and patata bravas! The atmosphere at this place, especially in the evening, was lovely! The dj played great music. Very enjoyable location

My friend and I went there for brunch. Their food was decent and the service was great. Their bagel was pretty tasty and the fruits were fresh. The lamb burger was a bit lacking in flavour. The atmosphere was warm and inviting.

Love this place! Nice staff and excellent food. Coffee is very good and big. Took the salmon bagel multiple time, the toasties are good and the sweets are amazing as well.

Really great atmosphere, and the service is excellent! The staff is really great. The food is amazing. I had the brownie yummy!!! The rest of the table had the rib eye steak and pizza, and they all enjoyed their meals.

There is a little bit of something for everyone, and if you like dancing, then Friday night is salsa night. The prices are reasonable for the location. So is it worth it, Yes!

I went yesterday to Si Cantina Sociale for lunch. It was empty which was nice to be able to talk and be able to hear one another. They had instrumental versions of popular songs playing which was nice but not blaring.

The menu was a bit different to the online menu that I looked at beforehand. I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t have the poppers anymore. The menu has a nice wide variety and even a vegan menu which was great. Although my friend wanted to order the vegan pizza but then there was no vegan cheese and they were out of the vegan dessert which was quite disappointing.

I ordered the chicken schnitzel with mushrooms sauce and chip. The chips I didn’t really enjoy but the crumb on the schnitzel and sauce was good.

My friend ordered the vegan burger and it was delicious. It didn’t taste like veg at all and was heavily processed. The side salad was disappointing with too much salad dressing and too much lettuce. But the burger made up for it.

I wanted to order the crème burle but unfortunately they didn’t have any stock. We ordered the meal a pudding instead which was delicious.

The service was good. Atmosphere was pleasant and nice and spacious seating.

Other than the lack of stock it was a good experience. I think when they give you the menu they should tell you beforehand what they don’t have in stock. Instead of deciding on something and then being told they don’t have it.

I would definitely try it again and see how the other items on the menu are.

I went with my family for a pre Father’s Day dinner. The service was good. The place was buzzing. Waiters were quick and food didn’t take long to come out. Sushi was freshly prepared and platter was nicely spiced with Cajun. Overall we had a great time. Love the new look of the place it almost has the feel your on a ship with the ropes used

I took my friend to this restaurant on her birthday and she loved it. The food was delicious, the service good and the atmosphere was perfect for the birthday dinner we had. I also enjoyed the music in the background (afro beat, if you are wondering). I will definitely be going back in the near future.

we had some Tapas, Calamari weren't flavorful (if you're into Grilled Calamari), Chicken Strips and Chicken Wings were delicious 👌🏾.

Enjoyed the atmosphere and wine selection.
