Set up my first wax appt at this location and when I walked through the door, the girls at the front were so nice and welcoming. Jahde, is one of the main reasons why I will continue to come back here, as a 1st timer, she was kind enough to ease my worries address any questions I had, she was also thorough and walked me through everything she was doing so I was aware of the process. Would 100% recommend coming to this location because they have such a great staff.

This is was my 1st time going there. When I called for an appointment the lady picked up the phone and didn’t even introduce herself which I was a little confused. I felt like I just called a random person. I got my eyebrows threaded and it was very painful I had to ask for breaks in between. It came out fine but then I decided to do tinting. My eyebrows are kind of thin but the lady made my eyebrows thick with the tint, which it looked weird, because I never had it done. She told me it should last for 10-14 days. Well it only lasted less than a day, I’m not doing tint again. Will I go back. Idk. Only if they refund me for the tint. Otherwise I’ll go back to my old place which is far. 😩

This was my first time at EWC and the staff here was so friendly and welcoming! My waxer Jada was super nice and was very knowledgeable when I asked questions about aftercare. She was quick and made me feel super comfortable. Overall a great experience I’ll definitely be back!

Been coming here since I first moved to Montclair in January 2021, and at this point it’s safe to say that this is MY place! They have never raised the price of their brow threading ($8) or tinting ($15) since I have been coming here. But you get a lot more than you pay for, trust! Excellent customer service & loyalty program.

The ladies who work here are lovely too. Everyone who works there does a solid brow threading & tinting, but my favorite techs for the Brazilian are Sona and Kena. They are very gentle and patient which is great, because I am a big baby. They will use a special green or brown wax for your Brazilian if you give them like 5 mins’ notice. They will also remember you and what you like in the future. They also aren’t pushy about up-selling you; of course it’s their job to ask you if you want the nose hair wax, but they also know that no means no! Good technicians & people here.

The best hair removal experience of my life. I got a Brazilian Wax and expected to come out crying but it was actually a pleasant experience. My waxer kept me distracted from the inevitable bit of pain with light conversation and witty quips. She left my area spotless and tidy. This is now my regular spot. Thank you to the staff and friendly owner for being so kind.

My first experience here wasn’t the best, but my second visit was with Brandi and she did an AMAZING job! Very thorough, efficient, moved quickly, and above all, her warm and friendly personality made me feel very comfortable. Looking forward to seeing her again!

This place is the best nearby Wax Spot in New Jersey. I am so use to going to New York but the commute is far and long. I took a chance with Waxing The City and stayed a loyal customer since day one to now almost a year. Excellent customer service from all staff. The Wax Tech/ Viannet the Cerologist communicated well with me and my needs. I go for Brazilian Wax which is a reasonable price and when you set your first visit there is a welcome discount. People are very friendly and respectful. I always wanted a Wax Spot that provided excellent services, clean, friendly, respectful, and nearby my home and nearby other salons and restaurants. Waxing The City became my one and only spot for Waxing I recommend you try it for yourself. Keep in mind to mention in adding “Calming Lotion” to your appt it’s used after waxing to calm the redness and any irritation immediately which is a blessing they have that. You need to try taking a risk to know if it’s what you been looking for. For me I took it with Waxing The City and Viannet the Cerologist since I took a chance I have not gone anywhere else and only have Viannet as my Cerologist. I highly recommend Viannet as your Cerologist she is great!

Viannet is the best cerologist I have ever been to. She makes sure you are comfortable and is very friendly. Her waxes are quick and the most minimal pain I’ve ever experienced with a wax. I also noticed that compared to past waxes, none of my waxes with her resulted in bad ingrowns or irritations, just a gentle grow in. Highly recommend

Viannet is a true asset to this location! She is, hands down, the best cerologist I've ever had. She has the calmest and most professional demeanor. Came across this location on my search for a new wax location and l'm so glad I did! I reviewed online on who is the most recommended cerologist and chose Viannet who was AMAZING. Viannet! She’s honestly the best cerologist Ive ever had! She was super sweet & genuine and made my experience so much better! I’d only go there for her from now on! My go to brow spot! Have never been disappointed. I recommend this place for consistent service. I’ve gotten threaded brows and lip with no issues ever. I recommend calling ahead to make sure they’re not busy or making appointments. Mid day during the weekday is an easy walk-in time. I don’t have a specific brow lady since I’ve tried them all with no issue. Very clean place, good courteous service and great prices! Price for brows is $8 and you’re out in under 10 minutes. They also have referral bonuses of 20% off your next service. Bring cash!!

Incredibly skilled staff and a very clean facility, Kena is absolutely fantastic (ask for her). I'm impressed by their professionalism. They have a nice electronic sign-in system and a great discount program when referring friends, too.
