Charming little pizza spot in the heart of Haymarket, simple uncomplicated delicious pizza with quick friendly service. Great spot for a romantic evening with someone special
We recently moved to Edinburgh, and this was our first meal in the city. The food was good, but we were frustrated to find that while the bill for the table next to us did not include a service charge, ours did.
We don’t mind paying a service fee, but when the bill showing an "optional service charge" becomes compulsory without consulting the customer, it feels disrespectful and unfair. It left us feeling like we were being treated differently, possibly because the restaurant assumed we were tourists. We paid everything that the owner would like us to pay but - Unfortunately, this left a bad impression, and we won’t be returning due to this unequal treatment.

For some reason ALL food production in Edinburgh shuts down at 9 pm, except for indian-ownes pizza joints. It was pretty good and fast and hot. Oily though
I ate here while holidaying in Edinburgh, following a recommendation. Great little place but the food was a big disappointment. Having travel round Italy they allways did the classics well. So ordered the lasagne off the menu. It was pretty poor, mostly layers of pasta… not much filling at all and the sauce was pretty bland…
Incredible food, worth the high prices. Waitress was a disaster, though. She wouldn't check on us, another person did. She would sit at the table behind us to have a call super loudly and walk around on a call in a very loud voice. The atmosphere was ruined by that. When we paid, my friend said I'd pay 45 and he would pay the rest. She didn't pay attention it seems, because she also charged my friend 45. My friend didn't say anything because he thought I paid his part and he paid mine. So we left almost 20 quid tip for awful service without realising. Food is exquisite 10/10

Absolutely stunning food! Starters were delicious and the pasta and pizza (I tried a bit of everything) were mouth watery. The service couldn't have been more professional and nice to us 😍 thank you very much for making our friend's baby shower so special. You guys are amazing, see you soon 🩷
Had takeaway pizza from here today and it was top class, thin and crispy exactly the way I like it. Would recommend.

Customer service delivered by staff (Sonia). Very attentive, made me feel like I should be there, and I wasn't just a bothersome tourist. She even was amazed I remembered her name when I came back later with friend. Was definitely the service and speed of order. Even going above and beyond to assist in ordering.
Excellent, authentic and tasty food. The meatballs are incredible and worthy the stop alone.

Lovvvvve this place. We visited for my husbands birthday and they were super accomodating and friendly. The food was also gorgeous and we found the prices to be fair. Shout out to Iman and the rest of the staff for the warm welcome and the amazing service. <3 <3 <3
Was here with a friend on holiday and wanted to treat ourselves before the travel day ahead. We arrived at 8:30 with the restaurant very busy. We both got drinks which we loved, but our server made us feel uncomfortable when we both wanted to get the calamari but was very stern that one would be just fine for the both of us. We both got pizza which was okay, but have had better with chain pizza restaurants. It was around 9:30 and more people are checking out since the restaurant closes at 10. The server comes over and takes my drink away when I was clearly not done with it. Tried to say something but he had already ran off. As we are finishing our pizza he comes over and basically insists that he box up our pizza. I was cutting into my pizza when he came over and was still eating, but we agreed for him to box it up because we were annoyed and felt unwelcome. We ask for the bill and see all the staff singing and cheering at the host stand there is one table left. Another table was cashing out roughly the same time. We were sitting at the front of the restaurant and saw everything. The several staff members did not care who saw them cheering for customers to leave. Our server the entire time felt like he was trying to rush us because of how many times he checked on us, and thought that was extremely rude. We ended up leaving at 9:50.
The dishes taste good, especially the beef and potatoes for the main course. I mentioned that it was my birthday, but I was still surprised that the staff turned off the lights and sang happy birthday to me. I had such a wonderful dinner beyond my expectation that I really want to make positive comments here.
A typical Pizza Hut located in a very busy part of Edinburgh. I don’t much care for having to order on the app -I find it quite overwhelming and far too easy to add extras and as usual I managed to get something wrong on the order.
It was pretty busy but service was good and food very tasty. Salad bar was topped up on a regular basis.

Nothing to dislike, salad bar was good, place was clean, staff were friendly. My 2 boys were happy with the buffet and stuffed themselves. Vegan options and allergies well catered for. No complaints at all.
Spicy veg pizza is a great option for people who love a little spice. Not too thin not too thick of a crust, well baked, colorful, flavorfull, mouthfull for spices!
Harry arranched a group delivery for 32 people. The pizza’s were all delicious and still warm upon arrival:) top service! Will definitely do this again!
We visited Bar Italia about 4pm on a Thursday for a late lunch. We pretty much had the entire place to ourselves.

Both the salad and the pizza were delicious. The service was prompt and efficient. The atmosphere is a comfortable authentic Italian setting with several murals covering the walls.

Vittoria on the Bridge was our favorite or top 2 favorite restaurants from our ten-day UK trip. The food here is phenomenal, and the service is excellent. You’ve got to try the foccia and the arancini starters. The foccia may be the best table bread we have ever had. For mains, I loved my rigatoni with chicken and pesto. My girlfriend got a burger but loved it. If we are ever back in this area, we will certainly come back. Outstanding food and service!

The star of the show was definitely the Burrata pizza. The crust was perfectly cooked, with a satisfying crunch on the outside and a soft, chewy interior. The toppings were fresh and flavorful, and the cheese was perfectly melted and gooey.

Pizza was par for Pizza Hut and it seemed clean. Upon arrival, I was told I would need to wait 15-20 minutes before I could order, and then it would be another 10-15 to make it. In my entire 41 years of Pizza Shops, I've never been told I need to wait 15-20 minutes to even place an order. Looking around the restraunt, there weren't many people. I was told by staff that the manager only has 1 Cook in the kitchen on Thursdays.
Fabulous little place with amazing pizza! Might look a bit shabby but that certainly doesn't reflect on the quality of the food. Fresh, plentiful toppings, perfect pizza base and baked to perfection.

However, the service wasn't quite on par with the food. While it wasn't bad by any means, it wasn't exceptional either. A little more attentiveness from the waitstaff would have elevated the overall experience.

Wonderful little restaurant with incredible authentic Italian food. My girlfriend and I first visited three years ago and we recently visited again while in Edinburgh and went out of our way to return because the people, food, and atmosphere was so lovely and it was just as good again this time round, we will be back I'm sure on our next visit to Edinburgh. Great authentic pizza just like you'd see in Italy, high quality ingredients and an owner and staff who really care about the service they provide. We love Italy and it felt like we were back there for an evening!
First off pizza is genuinely amazing, second off a drunk guy came in and didn’t know left from right and the owner gave him a meal completely free. Amazing shop owner and amazing food couldn’t recommend this place more. Also amazing prices
Amazing authentic Italian in the heart of Edinburgh! We first came here 4 years ago on our first trip to Edinburgh and knew we’d be back when we got the chance! So when my partner booked us a trip to Edinburgh for my birthday we knew where to go! The food, service and atmosphere is all 10/10! The staff are all friendly, happy and accommodating, the food and drink are all well priced and freshly made! Much better than any Italian chain! Price is super competitive for the service and quality you receive!

My pizza was so delicious, my son loved his and my hubby didn't speak for an hour because he was enjoying his food so much!
I highly recommend the chocolate honeycomb vesuvius to finish it off. We wolfed it down and when we come back next time we'll definitely be ordering more!

Place is really good , food is overpriced but service is really good .

I usually do not order meat in a pizzeria, but this was an excellent medium-cooked steak. The staff were efficient and polite. We had a wonderful evening!
I’ve been coming here for over 10-years when I’m visiting from Durham. The food is always fresh and spicy. The highlight is the staff attitude. They’ve always been friendly and easy going. They will take your used wrappers and dispose of them. If you want good quality food and great staff, Pizza Paradise will take some beating.
This place doesn't look up to much from the outside but omg the pizza is amazing and the price was if anything a bit cheap. Absolutely do not judge a book by its cover. Give it a try.

Negative - can get cold as fan on cool, and doors at both ends of restaurant mean cold air every time someone enters or leaves. Hence giving only 4 stars overall.

Worst experience in a Pizza Hut in my entire life. I love pizza Hut, there is none in my city so when I travel I always try to find a Pizza Hut to eat. I ordered one chicken pizza. It was not good at all, I had to take literally all chicken pieces out of the pizza and still couldn’t eat all. My husband ordered a gluten free pizza, it was as bad as mine. The worst part is that we have paid around £17 in each pizza. The staff was super friendly though. Anyway do not recommend chicken pizza neither the gluten free one.

We have had the most amazing valentines night out here. The vibes were amazing, the workers were very friendly and funny and made sure we felt comfortable. The food was delicious and not too expensive. Everything about this place is perfect and they also gave me a rose which added to the experience. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a dim lit romantic dinner. 😊
Hidden gem with great prices and great pizzas in the heart of an expensive city. Really yum and value for money. No inside seating but great for take away.
The pizza was excellent. We ordered extra buffalo mozzarella and it made it a little bit harder to eat, but was still worth it! Mushroom Risotto portion was huge (which is a good thing). Lacked a little bit of seasoning but was still really good. We got caprese for starters and it was really good too.
Dined at Vittoria On The Bridge in Edinburgh. The staff welcomed us warmly. Despite being fully booked, Vittoria’s team managed the bustling restaurant with precision. Booking in advance is essential to secure a spot.

The food was delicious, very rich flavours. The service was fantastic, you could see the owner is passionate about this place. Very cosy place to eat and calm.

The food was great, but I ordered too much: the side-order of chips, although crispy and delicious, was difficult to finish because my pizza was very filling. The salmon linguine proved a hit, also. After a few minutes for rest, though, we both ordered dessert.
Pizza not to bad. Chicken strips ok. Cheesy chips not hot and cheese not even got a sweat on never mind melted

We were there after a day long conference. The food was really nice. So is the service. Staff were friendly. Atmosphere was ok. It felt little busy and I can hardly hear across the table. Maybe my ears haha… highly recommended.

I would understand if it was during busy hours, but there were 4-5 empty tables around us, so we couldn't really understand the rush. We stayed a total of 2 hours, which I don't think is unreasonable.
At some point, they asked if we were ready for the bill, we said yes, my friend only had to go to the bathroom first and they didn't wait for her to come back to come with the card machine.
We had a 3,45£ service charge (it's basically them forcing us to tip when it's already covered by the initial price), which we did not complain about but when they came back with our change, they gave the wrong amount. They apologised greatly when we pointed it out and gave the correct change, but this whole experience made us leave on a slightly bad note, which is a shame considering the food and the ambience were so good.

Excellent pizza served by friendly Italians. True Neapolitan pizza with authentic flavours. Loved the focaccia with burrata as well. The Mozarella fingers are also big and tasty, highly recommended! There is lots of space to accommodate groups and families, and a cute Aperol lounge area for private parties

Pizza dough was fantastic, a delicious combination of chewyness and softness. Both side dishes we ordered were also very tasty and true to tradition. The menu had plenty of options, you’d be hard pressed not to find something to love. Staff was incredibly friendly and polite, always making sure that our needs were met and even helping in choosing what to order when we were stunned by the number of options. Service was very fast too, we waited less than 15 minutes for 2 pizzas and 2 sides on a semi-packed Friday evening.
Prices were very fair, especially considering the fantastic location, right in front of the Edinburgh Festival Theatre and barely a 5 minute walk from the National Museum of Scotland. There are food chains like Pizza Hut and Pizza Express which serve a significantly worse product at about the same price, I think that’s all I need to say on the matter.
I lived in Italy for 24 years before moving to Edinburgh and I can safely say that this place would outclass most pizzerias I’ve visited back home. That’s high praise but it’s absolutely warranted. If anybody ever asks me what’s the best pizza in the city, I know for a fact where I’ll point them towards.

Thought I'd give this a try to change my normal Tesco meal deal lunch. Had a falafel wrap and it was great! Bloke behind the counter was cheery too. Will be back!
Moratti is one of very few options in the area that are open late and reasonably priced. We greatly appreciated this spot when staying nearby. You will likely encounter some characters here, but that only adds to the fun!
I will always visit this restaurant when in Edinburgh and it really is fantastic. The staff are very friendly and entertaining. I've had a variety of different meals which have all been good. Look out for the specials on the chalkboard. I do feel they can rush you in and out a little by quite literally taking plates away before everyone has finished. This could just be efficiency though and it will not stop me going back again.

Had an absolutely amazing meal last night, Linguine, clams, white wine and cream sauce, black ravioli stuffed with scallop and king prawn with a spicy tomato sauce , and of course had to have Tiramisu and Cannoli for dessert. All served by Pasquale and his lovely staff in a great friendly atmosphere. Pasquale took time out to sit and chat with us. Will define back .
The pizza is always great, probably some of the best in Edinburgh, but I’m unsure why management think it’s acceptable to scream and shout at other staff and customers. Was an absurd, almost comedic thing to witness. We found it quite funny at first, but after a while it was no fun watching staff being treated terribly in the workplace. Please try bring your treatment of staff and customers in line with the quality of your pizza.
This place was recommended to us and now we know why. The pizza dough was exceptional--crisp outside, soft and chewy inside! The staff were very friendly and the service was pronto. Always a good sign being greeted at the door by an Italian. We can't say enough good things about both the wonderful and authentic food, and the friendly service we enjoyed at Pizza Posto!

Delicious fresh pizza. We had sides of fries, which were beautifully seasoned, garlic pizza bread, which was full of flavour, and a fresh side salad. Atmosphere was really good, very busy so I'd recommend booking, and lovely decor.

Came here after a show at Monkey Barrel because I had an absolute need for mozzarella and we were not disappointed. My husband had Bolognese but also the salad because otherwise he would eat mine and this was also amazing.
The staff were really attentive, polite and friendly and the wines were reasonable priced, prosecco is delicious. I can't recommend them highly enough.

This is the best gelato I’ve ever tried. I tried three flavors: pistachio, cheesecake, and chocolate. Love them all. It was my first time here and definitely not the last.
If you like chicken wrap / shawarma, then this is the place.

I'm not sure if the 5-star reviews are fake or if there is just generally bad pizza and kebabs in Edinburgh, but this food was terrible. Prefab crust on the pizza with low quality toppings. Chips were sad. Donner kebab was bland with seemingly old bread. Potato wedges are the safest bet. Even at late night when nothing is open, McDonald's is a more consistent experience.

Awesome authentic Italian food in a cosy neighbourhood in Roseneath. We tried their spaghetti Carbonara, spaghetti Bolognese, Prawn risotto, a pizza and a salmon pasta. Everything was so delicious and well balanced, we love it! Will definitely recommend this place to family and friends. Try to make a reservation before coming to avoid disappointment.
This is my Saturday night out last orders food option, I make my way here whenever I need a late night feed, the food is really good and service was very quick considering how busy it was at 1am, the pictures below are mixed kebab meat and chips with garlic and chilli sauce and a chicken shawarma wrap, the only negatives are the prices, I paid just over £18 for this order which I feel is a bit over priced, all in all though I really enjoyed the food even if I was under the influence of alcohol 👍
Excellent pizza place that’s open till late. We were super hungry at around 11 and only found this open around the area.
There were a couple of others waiting for their orders. Pizzas are made fresh on the go, and it only took 15 minutes to make ours.

The food is amazing, a real Italian pizza 🍕 😋 so delicious as well the lasagne was so so nice, the service is great and so fast, all their meet is Halal
The service was fantastic. We ordered our food and blinked and it was in front of us.
We had a calamari starter which was delicious.
And then a number 3 and number 5 pizza, which were both delicious!

We were on a family trip to UK and spent a day in Edinburgh. We love Italian food, our daughter's favourite dish is lasagne. We were so happy we went to Frizzante for lunch. It is the best Italian food we had! Every dish was so delicious. The service is also great. It is a family run restaurant. The very nice waitress turned out to be the co-owner of the restaurant. We arrived late and were the last guests in the restaurant, but we didn't feel being rushed to order. She actually came to chit-chat with us after we finished our meal and gave us sightseeing tips. We will definitely return to this restaurant when we go to Edinburgh next time and we strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Italian food!

Been going for years. The outside and inside do nothing to sell the quality of the food. I fell in love with the hummus falafel wrap over a decade ago and it’s the only thing I’ve ever ordered since then. Everyone I’ve ever taken has been sceptical of the decor but always end up a convert of the wrap
Authentically Italian! Excellent ambience and service was top notch. Have to book as it’s heaving in here. We had to wait a little while for our table to be ready but was worth it. The seafood pasta could have had a little more seafood. The squid ink pasta was on the drier side but the sauce was delicious and had a good depth. Mussels were plump and stewed in a tangy white wine sauce. Calzone was deep filled and had a crispy crust.

My partner and I had the best pizza here on Friday night! Service was great too, I forgot to get the gentleman's name, but he was so lovely and great to talk to. I will 100%be back soon! Best pizza in Edinburgh by far! We used to eat pizza here before the management changed and I am so pleased to know the pizza is just as amazing as before. Perfect tomato base, perfect crust, perfect abundance of toppings and good quality ingredients. Highly recommend eating in because this pizza is best eaten straight away. Had to thank the chef for his tastey af pizzas haha . I can't wait to see what amazing things you guys make in the future. Well done!
Sunday night in Edinburgh after 2300 and I was all ready to resign myself to a kebab and nothing else but Google’s ‘Open Now’ function allowed me to find this great Italian eatery and eat a fantastic meal even though it was past midnight.
Two friendly ladies served all of the patrons that night and the entire menu was available, which was useful as I had not eaten since lunchtime.
It was slightly weird when I was asked to leave - it was around 0200 and the restaurant is open until 0500 - but it was not done badly.

Ordered a small garlic bread and also a small meat feast pizza, it came to £16.50 and they was the smallest 9" I have ever seen. I asked for garlic mayo tub and when we got back found it to be mint yoghurt

The base is quite poor, very dry and not that tasty. Plenty of toppings though. I won't order pizza here again.

We wanted a nice takeaway place while having a night drive round the city. While looking unassuming from the outside, this turned out to be one of the best takeaway pizzas we've had. If you don't want the fancy artisan style pizzas that are all over the city, this is a great stop. Grab a portion of chili sauce, garlic mayo mix them up and have as a dipping sauce. Absolutely magic. Definitely a hidden gem in the city
The best thin crust Italian pizza I've had! Fresh, crispy base that doesn't go floppy when you pick it up. Staff are very friendly and service is quick. Topping are fresh and the meat is good quality. Profiteroles are delicious. Great local restaurant, takeaway.
So delicious and tastes just like pizza from Rome! Me and my boyfriend have ordered several times in the past few weeks! It’s great and quick and very polite staff there. Highly recommended the Parma ham pizza especially !!
