Went in for a backpack and the owner was so nice, she let me try on a bunch of stuff and made great suggestions based on what I needed and what I was looking for! Very nice and very knowledgeable, and a friendly atmosphere that made it feel ok to be a beginner to backpacking.

Hyperspud is a solid 5.0, you can't beat them!! I buy most my outdoor gear there, but I also frequent the Bellevue REI since my son works there. Hyperspud prices are comparable to REI but you can't beat the personalized service and regional knowledge of Heather and her husband at Hyperspud. Much of what they sell has lifetime warranties and all you need to do is bring the faulty item in and they will give you a replacement immediately if they have it in stock, or otherwise order it in. They make sure you get exactly what will work best for you - that is their primary goal.

Basketball shoe selection is terrible, they only stock cheap fila and and1. For the little things like mouth guards and the occasional airsoft pistol or sled they’re pretty ideal.

Doesn't have anything bigger than a 10 for women, and they are expensive.

Can't say enough good things about Tyler and White Pine! The whole team is very communicative and accommodating- they definitely go the extra mile for clients! We did a day float and the fishing was incredible, the hot shore lunch was delicious, and we learned a lot as well. Highly recommend White Pine and I'm looking forward to more trips with them in the future!

My dad and I did a day-trip fishing St Joe with Tyler and had a great time! We caught tons of fish, he was spot on with getting our flies in just the right spot to get bites, and a good conversationalist too. The lunch was delicious, he made us fresh street tacos and there were even little cheesecake deserts. Really phenomenal day!

They sell a repackaged MTG product that contains literal garbage. People are nice though.

I did a 1 full-day trip on the St Joe with Tyler. Tyler was a fantastic guide. I had a blast with him and he got us into a lot of quality fish. The St Joe is a beautiful river and the exact experience I was looking for as a trout fisher wanting to catch cutties. I highly recommend White Pine Outfitters to anyone looking for a guided fishing experience.

Hyperspud is the best outdoor recreation store in Moscow. Heather, the owner has always been amazing! Would not go anywhere else for climbing supplies.

I went to big 5 to buy a new backpack for search and rescue. The sales person was extremely knowledgeable super friendly and got me a better backpack than the one I went to go get and it was cheaper. I'm really glad I went there. I highly recommend you stop here for your outdoor needs.

We had THE most epic day on the water with White Pine, fishing the St. Joe River. Our guide got us on to the West Slope Cutthroat immediately and we were in the action all day long, landing (and missing 🤭 ) more fish than we could count (in early August, truly impressive.) Expert knowledge, gourmet fresh ahi taco lunch prepared riverside on our full day drift trip and five star service. Can’t recommend WPO enough. We WILL be back! Heather is cool, kind, and know her stuff. She always has time to chat and offer tips for gear and locations. This is what local shops are all about.
You can't beat this convenience. Good work on ski waxing/repairs and easy snow shoe rentals. Hyperspud rules.
I'm sure you find better prices online -- without the ability to touch, try-on, feel, talk to an expert about, compare to other products side-by-side. Hyperspud has a decent selection--enough options without being overwhelming on outdoor gear.
I'll keep coming back again and again. Good stuff.

My son and I had a great trip on St Joe river with Tyler. He was very patient and taught us what we needed to catch some fish. Exact trip we were looking for. He cooked us a great hot lunch along the river's edge as well!

The 5-day Salmon River Canyons White Water trip was outstanding! Tyler and his team are experienced guides who know the river and how to put on a great trip. The food and camaraderie complimented the beautiful scenery. Highly recommended.

The cashier at the front had an absolutely terrible demeanor. The item I planned on buying was priced wrong. When I brought it up, she was rude, condescending, and short. When I asked to speak to her supervisor, she replied with a short "what, you want to talk to them?" When she called up the manager, they were on a break. Then a young man came up, and asked how he could help. While I was describing what had happened, she kept interrupting, and adding her views. During one of these interruptions, I stopped and told her she needed to leave. Which she did, and went to the back of the store. While continuing the conversation with the supervisor, we could see her talking and pointing at the front where we were standing, with a very angry face. The young man was very polite, but this young girl was so terrible that I will never step for in Big 5 again.

Great selection of product BUT customer service was subpar. There were four employees and no one seemed to be very customer friendly. When I did enter the store, I had asked if they had a certain item. The girl at front went to go ask her Manager, but when she returned to the front she never gave me a response, but instead continued her conversation with another employee at the front checkout. So I had to ask her if she found out about the item I initially had asked about and she said that they didnt have that item

I also spent a lot of time in the shoe dept. and each time I was wanting to try on a pair of shoes or different sizes, each time I had to go and seek out assistance. The Big5 I remember there seemed to be someone wanting to assist you and was always an employee in/around the shoe dept.

I did end up finding a pair of shoes I liked for a good price as well, but the customer service definitely needs improvement.

Love this shop. Tyler and the crew always give good advice on flies and fly gear for the local rivers. I've also had the pleasure to go on a guided trip on the St Joe River. Excellent time. Tyler had great knowledge of where the fish were and what they were biting on. He was also helpful on rigging and casting techniques. Creme brulee desert for lunch was an added bonus.

Friendly staff and great prices! Their sock selection is the best and you get a free pair for every 5 you buy. They also have all the little things you need for camping that will make your trips so much easier. And their gear selection is also top notch. Seriously a great store to shop at for everyone!
