The Oak Steakhouse owes me nothing. Atmosphere, service, and 10's.

It's not cider cocktail (Bourbon)
Oysters Rockefeller (some of the best I have ever had)
Wagyu Steak with Bine marrow butter
Ribeye with Truffle butter
Sides: Lobster Mac and Cheese, Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Mushrooms
Orange Dreamsicle Cheesecake
Such a nice place. I reserved a table for a Valentines date night. We were seated right at our time. I requested a window view but was given a text earlier that they may not be able to accommodate that. That was no issue and I understood.

We were taken to a table that had a Happy Anniversary card on it. I was confused because, well it wasn’t our anniversary. As we sat I told the server that it was not our anniversary and was just a date night. I am almost 99% positive when I made the recommendation I did not put anything about an anniversary. I believe this was the restaurants mistake. The card seemed nice but we gave it back and they adjusted the table by taking away some flute glasses.

Dinner was good and I highly recommend the macaroni. The drinks are strong and will sneak you.

Our waitress was kind and managed tables well. Compared to a place like Jeff Ruby’s though, I believed Bourbon Steak to be not quite as good. The waitress was kind and got someone to take our picture near the windows before we left.

Overall the venue was nice, clean, and the service was what I would expect. I was hopeful for a date night type fix after we were seated at a table addressed to an anniversary. It seemed like our experience was lessened by telling them of their mistake.

We had the best experience here. First off, ask for Tara - she's amazing and she made our evening a memorable one.

We came for a birthday dinner and the atmosphere was perfect. We started with the shrimp cocktail and risotto balls (soooo good). For entrees, we ordered steaks (of course) topped with bone marrow butter, the Chilean sea bass, and several family style sides (brussel sprouts, truffle frites, and mac n cheese) - all of which was delicious.

Dessert was the chocolate butter cream cake and creme brule.

This is our favorite steakhouse in Nashville! Highly recommend.
Our dining experience surpassed all expectations. Celebrating our anniversary, we were greeted with a thoughtful happy anniversary card from the staff, accompanied by two glasses of champagne, which added a delightful touch to the occasion. The level of service was exceptional; our server expertly addressed all our inquiries, while the staff presenting the dishes provided detailed explanations with genuine enthusiasm. This establishment is ideal for marking any special event, and we are eager to return. The steaks were cooked to perfection, effortlessly melting in our mouths, and the Mac n cheese was an absolute highlight. Each bite left a lasting impression, and we unequivocally rate our experience a perfect 10 out of 10. Without hesitation, I will be enthusiastically recommending this culinary gem to everyone I know.

Went here early evening with party of 10 guest. The waiter was in training, but by the looks of it he did pretty good. Most of us ordered cocktails first. Took a while before he came back out to take the order for the main course. Most of us ordered steak. I ordered 7OZ CARVED BISTRO FILET & FRITES Certified Angus Beef With peppercorn cream, truffled pomme frites. This is the description I copied from the menu. Sounds better than it looked when it arrived at the table. Way too many fries on the plate. The temperature of the meat was lukewarm at best. Nothing really special. Would I go back? Not sure.

Wow! The Oak did not disappoint! This may be our new favorite steakhouse in all of Nashville! Our waitress, Anna, was excellent. She gave great recommendations, was professional, and prompt. I brought my girlfriend here for her birthday dinner, and she loved it! The food was incredible. We started with the bone marrow appetizer she had never had, which was a 10 out of 10. We each had one oyster Rockefeller each and it was a 10/10. We each ordered the Steak Duo, which were two 4oz filets with lobster and crab meat, and they were 10/10. We ordered the mac n cheese, truffle fries, and brussels sprouts for the sides. The sprouts were a little too vinegar-heavy, but otherwise, 10/10 for all of them. For dessert, we got the creme brule, which was the perfect way to cap off a wonderful evening. We will absolutely be back and cannot recommend The Oak enough.

We didn't have a reservation so we were seated at the cocktail lounge. No problem since the full menu was offered there. The standard fillet was tender and served properly cooked to my preference. I enjoyed the makes potato base and crispy onion top. The asparagus was less interesting than is hoped but also properly cooked. The garlic butter for the bread basket was flavorful. And, the Jack Daniel's cheesecake was a wonderful end to a solid meal. The environment of this historically interesting building tends towards formal dining, although we didn't feel out of place in office wear. It was a pleasant steak house experience and is go back again.
Very cool restaurant at the JW Nashville. It looks swanky but you can definitely wear what you want. I had the sea bass which was not the best I've ever had but just okay. The truffle mac and cheese was to die for. Had the ahi tuna rolls for the appetizer and they were delicious and they brought us the duck fries which were also very tasty. I had an old fashioned to drink and it was super good. And as a side note there are some awesome views of the city from up here.

Oak Steakhouse delivers on its promise of a sophisticated dining experience. The modern, warm interior sets a relaxed yet upscale tone, perfect for a special night out. The service shines with attentive and knowledgeable staff who guide you through the menu and cater to your every need. Josh was our server and was excellent!

Now, the main event: the food. Oak Steakhouse doesn't mess around with the classics. They use top-notch ingredients, from dry-aged ribeyes cooked to juicy perfection to fresh seasonal sides expertly prepared. It's all about quality and execution, with every bite showcasing the chef's dedication to the craft. We enjoyed the appetizers, the filet duo, the wedges salad, and the sides were delicious too.

Be aware, Oak Steakhouse comes at a premium. This is a splurge destination, not your everyday neighborhood grill. But for those special occasions where you want an unforgettable meal in a refined setting, it's worth the investment.

Solo birthday dinner for myself and it was great. My waitress was very kind. Service was quick. My only gripe is that for the price, my steak could have been bigger.

The Standard was perfection in dining. Last week we celebrated our anniversary with a meal at the Standard. The hostess was welcoming and explained the history while seating us in the bar area. Micheal the bartender poured nice strong tasty drinks. Our meal consisted of the lobster bisque appetizer, the rack of lamb (medium rare!) and the Standard Filet. We finished with the chocolate cookie w ice cream dessert. Everything was truly amazing. David our server gave us outstanding service and his knowledge of the ingredients and preparation of the dishes was next level. The assistant server was professional and attentive. Atmosphere and ambiance at the Standard completed the night. It felt like a different place in time. Thanks to the David and the team at the Standard for an epic night !
A 10/10 dining experience. The view is amazing, first off. But also, they have a wonderful wait staff that really know what they are doing. Highly recommend coming here for a special occasion or fancy date night. You’ll spend money, but you’ll get your money’s worth. The steak was amazing, and I recommend getting it just plain so you can really enjoy the skilled preparation. The only thing I wouldn’t have ordered again were the Brussel sprouts, but I can be finicky about those. Overall, loved it and would recommend to anyone looking for a great meal.

If you’re struggling to get a reservation, try booking the day of…there’s often a cancellation.
My husband surprised me with this place to celebrate my 48th birthday 🎉… Fancy and amazing Restaurant!! They’re care every single detail included my birthday greeting!! Our server Ellie and the team care us and take time to explain each plate like We ordered! The cocktail’s delicious and the food was wonderful! Quality and quantity perfectly and you can get the perfect Nashville view at night!
The first stop on my #nashville trip was at The Standard at the Smith House which is supposedly the oldest building in the city from what I understand. The vast home is deceivingly large with a massive dining area. The upstairs is home to a very exclusive members only cigar bar which adds to the intrigue. The service and food were both phenomenal here. The beef tartare would be a repeat for sure and the lamb chops were tender and flavorful. The hit though was the pork chop which was soft and buttery, just loaded with taste. Turned out to be a great way to start the trip!
Never had a bad experience. I think their appetizers, salads, steaks, and side dishes are some of the very best in the city.

Their service is amazing. The staff seems to always be at your table but in a way that doesn't feel obtrusive.
So glad we came here! It did not disappoint!

We showed up a little earlier than our reservation. They were gracious enough to let us be seated. I can’t ever understand the logistics of why restaurants sit people in different spots of the restaurant. At first they sat us a weird and secluded area way in the back. I asked the hostess, if they could give us a booth and she kindly made it happen.

Andrew, our server, was informative, and really nice. He explained the menu and specials very well. He was attentive to us and delivered excellent service. Nicole, manager, came around to also make sure we were well. 5 out of 5 for service!

Even though my review was 5 stars, not everything was 5 stars for us.

Tomahawk Steak ($180, 32oz)- 4 out of 5 very flavorful, delicious- BUT- we asked for it to cooked, medium and it came out medium rare. We sent it back for a quick touch up. Chefs recovered well!! My only thing was this steak was a lot fattier than expected.

Housemade Bacon- ($20)- 3 out of 5.
Wifey didn’t like pork belly!
I liked it- I didn’t love it. Very tender!
Cotton Candy- so delicious.

Cotton Candy so good/ pork belly is good- together- NOT A FAN!

Cream Corn Brûlée-($15) 5 out of 5!!! Such a great concept! Get it!!

Macaroni Gratinée- ($20) their Mac n Cheese version! So fire!!! 5 out of 5

Espresso Martini- ($18) 5 out of 5

You have to go go drink!!! -($16) 1 out of 5

Pricey, romantic, great ambiance and delicious food! If you can do it- make it happen!
Visited Kayne Prime Steakhouse with 4 other coworkers while traveling on business to Nashville. The atmosphere and decor was classic high end steakhouse with a combination of bar, table, and booth seating. We hade made reservations and were seated promply. Our wait staff however were slow as our food and drinks took WAY too long. The meals and sides all relieved high praise from the table. Will probably visit other steakhouses in the area before returning.
Definitely a go too while in town. Some of the best views in town. We had a great dinner at the bar with fun patrons. Ryan our bartender was great and made the experience that much better. We had a fantastic family style meal between the 3 of us. The Cowboy dry aged ribeye is not for me. Very rich but was presented and cooked perfectly! Definitely a place worth checking out
My husband and I came here for our 12th year wedding anniversary. We were excited about a different option of fine dining. Our reservations were at 9:15pm. We were not seated until 9:50pm. While our sever was pleasant, our entrée did not come to our table until 11:10. The pictures will show just how horrible our food was. I have never in my life been served burned food. the smell was atrocious! McDonald’s would be considered gourmet compared to what we received. The broccoli was burned, the wagyu was burned, everything was TERRIBLE! My 12th year wedding anniversary was completely ruined. I’d never come back to this establishment and I don’t recommend it.
Staff was amazing! We had duck tacos, bacon with maple cotton candy, cesar salad, filet mignon, brussel Sprouts, brocoli, risotto tater tots and the chocolate toffee cake. All of the food was amazing!!!
Place was real great. Reservation only but we just waited for spots to open at the bar, which wasn't long.
The Mac and cheese I just again again the next day and its excellent even heated up the next day.
We had the fancy smoked old fashioned and the presentation was worth the price of admission! The bar staff was amazing.
Food was so good. I did think the ahi sushi was not as exciting as it looked but was still fresh and good. The fried rice also slayed.
The women's room has such a great view and a window wall.

Love this place! Excellent service and dinner was delicious. I had the standard filet, and it was cooked to perfection. The bar is a must stop, amazing atmosphere & the bartenders we're on point. Highly recommend.
The views of this restaurant and its ambiance are simply amazing! Enjoyed a private dining experience here for a couples’ dinner. Our server, Chad, was awesome! He has such a radiant personality, and helped us to enjoy our evening from start to finish. The food was delicious! The lobster pot pie was so good with a nice presentation! Everything was cooked to perfection! Definitely will visit here again!!

Your meal might have been cool, but was it a private table & special menu in the Standard Whiskey collection room cool? I dare say not! We had curated large appetizers, cocktails, and wine to start, with crab bisque and salad second course followed by Standard signature filet, seabass, and salmon, finished off by house made cheesecake, key lime pie, and coffee.
Everything was perfect, delicious, and for a premium prime steakhouse, surprisingly reasonable on the bill!
Our sides included green beans, mash potato, mac & cheese, creamed corn, and amazing bread.
Top 5 best meals of my life! Came in for my birthday and they all go above and beyond to make your dining experience one to remember and share with your friends and family! Highly highly recommended!
We celebrated our 1yr Anniversary at Kayne Prime in Nashville and I gotta say it was an amazing experience! From the Host greeting us to our amazingly talented server Brook! The food was unreal...we had a bacon wrapped cotton candy that literally melted in your mouth and then we tried their Progression with the Japanese Wagyu 😳 unreal! The Manager Nicole made sure everything was perfect! They then brought us a complimentary tasty treat to finish the night with Champagne!! Thank you Kayne Prime 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟five stars‼️❤️

I wish my pictures could better represent how incredible our dinner was at The Standard. This was one of the best dinners we've ever had (ever) especially because of how fancy and unique the experience was.

The staff welcomed us by name at the door, gave us a tour, and told us about the history of the building. Each of the dishes was so beautifully made!

It was well worth the price for a fancy, special night out.

This place is gigantic. We walked really far to our seats, but that was good because we didn’t have a reservation and they seated a table of five. Anyway, the food was really good. I think the steaks were a bit overpriced, but they were very good. They also had great apps and sides. I don’t drink but the group I was there did they said they tried the best wine they’ve ever had I don’t remember the name. Also, the other drinks Steve really liked as well.

I always enjoy taking myself out when traveling, and finding something that my taste buds deserve is nice. I had never been to The Standard, and figured during my first Nashville visit why not really treat myself to something good. The Standard is that and more!
First, the owner, Sharon is an amazing host. We were informed about the lovely history of the establishment, she led us to our table, and made sure we were comfortable where we sat.
Next, the atmosphere. Very timely, feels large, feels special, and feels cozy. This building has been around for over a century but they took care of it, and I felt like I found a secret treasure coming here.
The staff was very kind and dressed well. The menus are slim and simple, which is great. I did not feel at all overwhelmed by the options, and everything sounded so good. The wine menu looked very good and the desserts 👌🏽 ...my goodness!
I got myself the sea bass. Probably one the worst decisions I could make... because now The Standard...is the standard! It was absolutely delicious. Followed up so well after the calamari and lobster dip for appetizers. I recommend both of those. The sea bass was cooked perfectly and presented with such care. The filet my friends ordered was cooked just as well and they loved it.
Now, let me tell you about these desserts. That chocolate cookie and ice cream has never tasted this good. It did not at all feel like too much after the main course. My stomach had the space.
The appetizers are not overbearing, the entrees are not too large and fill you up just enough. The sides (I had the mac and cheese) are such a tasty surprise. The dessert was the cherry on top!
I will be returning when I head back to Nashville, that is for sure!
As far as price, it may be on the higher end, sure, but this is a treat everyone should experience, if they are able to.

An all around phenomenal experience! Upon online reservation we received a confirmation call from hostess, Chelsea whom we also notified that there was a birthday in our party (a very nice touch you don’t find anymore when dining out). From there, she and the team got us first acquainted at the bar for drinks by the fireplace followed by dinner in a small intimate room.

Nash, our waiter was excellent! His suggestions were spot on, leaving us satisfied and assured in our orders. The calamari was crispy, airy, and tender. The crab bisque was loaded with meat and an overall well balanced broth.

The pork chop cut like butter. That simple. Sides were hearty and plentiful. Overall you definitely get a good amount for what you pay for here. If I having to choose one dessert, go with the warm cookie a la mode. It’s made to order and with a healthy scoop of ice cream.

The Standard definitely says it all in it’s name when it comes to quality, care, and hospitality. If you’re looking for a unique and memorable experience I can’t recommend this place enough.
