Lovely little gem for an afternoon tea. We got a tour of the house too. Super friendly staff who love looking after their guests and the house.

Had an amazing experience at their high tea. The scones were fresh baked and huge! They went through extra mile for the kids with stickers and extra cookies and treats!
We enjoyed the high tea here this afternoon but you'll need to plan ahead as it's by reservation only.
Lovely, lovely spot for tea, pastries, and small sandwiches. Not only were the foods and teas wonderful, but the volunteer staff were amazing - both in their care for regular customers but also in navigating a large group with completely out of control children whose parents had no interest in anything but letting their progeny run wild almost tripping staff and guests alike. The volunteers are angels, and deserve better.
Beautiful gardens and views. Picnicking is limited to a small seating area near the gift shop but it was quiet enough we enjoyed our lunch. Toddlers enjoyed wandering the paths and adults enjoyed the plants and walk. Small golf cart shuttle was a highlight for little ones on the journey out.
So beautiful, can’t wait to go back and spend more time walking around. Very tranquil 💕

Lovely surprise high tea! I was visiting the area with a friend. We expected to have tea, soup and scones for lunch, not knowing high tea was being served. The regular menu for the weekend is posted on their Facebook page. High tea is normally advertised via their newsletter. My friend and I were able to enjoy high tea as walk ins! Service was wonderful. We did not know the servers were all volunteers and they did a great job! The food was lovely and the chef came by more than once to see if we were enjoying our meal. We were and did! The location is lovely inside Milner Gardens (so no street noise!) and in a large well-kept heritage house. I would definitely come back and recommend to others.
Have had high tea a couple of times. All volunteers in the dining room and the "golf cart " that drives you down to the house and brings you back , if you choose not to walk. Portions are tiny, maybe because many seniors , who may eat like a bird. I do not think that you should have to pay if you are a member bringing a guest for tea. I'm a member, and then have to pay for my guest to have tea and of course pay for the tea for 2.

It's unfortunate it's run by volunteers and they need help.
My friend and I visited and had to wait a long time.
Once we got our scone, cream and strawberry jam, it was nice, looking at the views.
We came with friends from North Vancouver and Victoria and had a fabulous time. The gardens are amazing! The Rhododendrons are beautiful. We had tea in the Tea House and the staff sang Happy Birthday to our friend. Scones are to die for and the homemade soups are incredible. Chef Mel delivered the soup and played the ukulele for the Happy Birthday song.
Don't miss this hidden secret garden and tea house...you will be rewarded with beautiful ocean views and magical plants.
The volunteers are excellent ambassadors for the Milner Gardens and are so friendly and knowledgeable.
The volunteers are wonderful, sweet, and delightful. Chef Mel came out and greeted us, making us feel very welcome. The prices were unexpectedly reasonable for such a prime location. Fabulous experience all around.
The Christmas lights are on and they are fantastic. Admission 8s by donation and there are restrooms throughout the trails. There is a gift shop on site and also hot chocolate and treats available for a reasonable price. Be sure to get the kids to see Santa on time as the gate for the line up to see Santa closes at 8pm.
10/5 stars!! Beautiful place, amazing ambiance. The lady and her husband who sold us our tickects are the nicest people my boyfriend and I met on my whole road trip down from quebec 😄

If you don't go here your missing out!!! Amazing 🥰 thanks again.
Nice and festive! Christmas lighting, stuff are pretty nice.

Entry $5 per person or $12 per family. Inside you can buy hotdog $5. Enjoyed the evening walk!
Milner Gardens is a beautiful historical property on Vancouver Island minutes from Qualicum Beach.

You can stroll the grounds at your leisure or take the tram if you have small children or have difficulty walking.

The gardens are bountiful and diverse. The main house located steps from the beach, The Camellia Tea Room is open in the summer until fall and take out is available.

Children are free, youth prices are minimal, and reasonable for adults.

This is a beautiful nature walk as a couple or for the entire family.

If you are a gardener this beautiful historical site is a must visit.
What a beautiful place to stop and smell the ultra fresh coastal air filtered through giant trees, mosses and ferns.

The stroll along the paths were sometimes totally natural and sometimes totally manicured depending upon what area you were traveling through.

There were fruit trees, flowers, towering pines and ocean vistas. There was Grandma’s Garden gift store as well as the fancy home now set up for events.

Definitely recommend staying for a tour. 2 hours for a solid walk around or even linger longer and just enjoy the sights.

For you birders I would add this to your trip. We saw all kinds of birds traveling up and down trees looking for a meal.

Big cudos to all the volunteers we saw working in the gardens.

Also we didn’t see one staff person who wasn’t accommodating and friendly.
