We really enjoyed our vine tour and vine testing here. Very inexpensive 1000AMD (less than 3 USD) per person will get you 9 different wines and a brandy. We really like one of vines, so we bought a bottle - 2000 AMD! Great bargain IMHO. Cook caffee upstairs as well.

Nice service and show you winery place they make, but wine is so so taste.
Went there via organized tour. Tried some fruit wines and local high spirits drinks. The lady was really supportive and informative. We had a tour over the wine storage and had some historical information. She had good and understandable English.
A small family winery with excellent natural wines! We spent some wonderful time here, tasting different wines and having some very interesting discussions with the hosts. Their warm welcome and pasion for natural wines and Armenia really touched us so much! If you are in Areni, do not miss it under any circumstances!

We had a very good evening with Noray and family. Very pleasant wines and food. Thank you!
It was a very good experience to visit their tasting section.
They offered free tasting of wine.
We also purchased 6 wines mainly semi sweet pomegranate and grape.
Areni wine factory was a great experience to know how the factory functions and what equipments they use. We had some knowledge of how wine is made in this factory. We even tasted their wine, it was unique. Approximately they had 8-9 different types of wine. Great experience.
Great wine tasting it comes with crackers and bits of cheese too! The tour could have been better, the tour started with bottle making and packing before the actual making of wine from the grapes. There could have also been photos or illustrations of how the vineyard looks like during the tour. But otherwise everything is good and understandable with the new winery.

Had a small and quick visit here for wine tasting, the history of wines in Armenia and exploring the wine factory.

They offer wines for free to test along with bread blocks and cheese. You can buy wines from here.

In some areas, photography was prohibited.

Went for a wine tasting here and stayed for food too. Everything was amazing and good prices too. Make sure to try their fruit wines too which were the best we tried in Armenia.

Had a quick visit here for wine tasting. Many choices to taste for free. Cheese & Lavash were provided. Personally love their blackberry semi-sweet wine. We bought several bottles back home and they were very well-packed. The coffee shop on the second floor was also nice 👍🏻 a lot of cute souvenirs as well.

We were looking for an authentic, non-touristy winery to visit and we found AreWine and it was one of the best experiences that we had had in Armenia. The guys make amazing natural wine and not just that, they were very hospitable, welcoming and friendly. If you like natural wines this is the place!

Un accueil extraordinaire, le lieu aussi paisible que beau permet de s'imprégner de l'atmosphère Arménienne en presentant la belle rencontre du vin et de ce territoire méconnue à ceux qui ont la curiosité de s'y rendre, merci !

The guide was pleasant and smiling only until she realized that we didn't want to buy the most expensive wines, but just a few ordinary ones. Then we were glad we went back to Yerevan.

I did a short tour and wine tasting as part of a day tour from Yerevan. The tour was interesting and the wine was excellent!
Probably best wine stop in Areni. Delicious sweet wines as well as 6 dry wines, 4 fruit vodkas and a brandy to sample (all for free and with knowledgeable English speaking host). Also this family business sells a range of herbal teas and dried fruits gathered from the local area and their 5ha of vineyards and orchards. It's a wonder they make any money, given their generous provision of wine to sample!

Incredibly good degustation ceremony with great lecture on how to taste wine.

I liked young wines and fruit ones the most. Fruit wines were really fruity, I have never tasted anything like that. At leat, they are not your supermarket-grade fruit wines.

At that time fruit and young wines cost about 2k dram, and 2016 and 2014 dry reds were 5k and 7k respectively.

Many thanks to the owner and his son for captivating stories in Russian.

Had an informative visit of the winery before tasting and all that for about 1,000 per person which is worth it. The wine is still young but interestingly only made with local grape. We also bought some bottles to bring them back. Bottles are expensive compared to the same price v. quality in Europe but still quite unique to have Armenian wine.

There is lot of confusion among wine travelers in the Areni area because numerous wineries in close proximity to each other have similar names. Even some of the reviews and photos are associated with the wrong place. In preparing for my visit, I was told to avoid the commercial wineries situated along the highway and seek out Areni Wine LLC as the top priority (along with Zorah in Rind). That turned out to be the correct advice. The highway wineries are decent, but in essence they are tourist traps. Areni Wine LLC is completely different. It is a true boutique winery that preserves its commitment to traditional production methods and family spirit, and the quality of the wine reflects this commitment. The wine tasting (free) covers a range of eight different bottles -- three dry reds (of which two were opened right on the spot), a semi-sweet, three fruit wines (of which the sour cherry was the most memorable), and and a Glintwine. Anyone who appreciates wine on more than a merely casual level should make this a stop on their wine journey and not bother with the wineries by the side of the highway.

Overall a pleasant experience. Our tasting did not include the Reserve. We were poured the White, Rose and Classic. There was also cheese. The tour was adequate. The white wine is produced from Voskehat and the reds from (Black) Areni, and it would have been nice to have been offered to taste the actual grapes since they aren't available outside Armenia and their flavor profile is unfamiliar to most visitors.
My first time in Armenia and one of the first places I visited during the tour. This is where I get the chance to taste all their wine range. The Blueberry wine was the best tasting ones.
