I ordered through Ubereats, and after 45 minutes, my order was canceled. On reordering, I received a disappointing single-layer Maharaja Mac burger with a potato patty instead of a double decker with corn and cheese which it was supposed to be. They either sent me a wrong order or their description is inaccurate. The samosa chat was also soggy. Overall, the taste and quality were subpar. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

We have been their regular customer for about more than 8 years. Last weekend I recommended my friends to order from them for our Diwali party. There was a mis-match in one item in order, and the person who took order was adamant that they sent the right item. So it was a classic example of he said she said. I was expecting a higher level of customer service because we order from them regularly. But given that the party had already started we just ordered a new item again. I had to send someone to pick the item and the item (kadi pakora) that was sent wasn’t good quality. No one ended up eating it.

The whole experience was very upsetting. I tried to go talk to him today but he wasn’t in the restaurant. At this point, just going to leave it that they lost me as a customer.
My recommendation to all is be sure before paying to pickup what u order. The sad part is such people get away with it even though they are in the service industry. I have recommended them to so many people and now they lost those customers too.

Have ordered Poha from here before and liked it and so placed a Doordash order again and it was canceled after 20 mins. Upon calling the restaurant, the lady on the phone said that the Doordash tablet is locked and that she’d call her boss for the password and asked me to place the order again after 30 mins. After 30 mins, rather than placing the order, I called her first to check if the tablet is working, to which she said No and asked me to place the same order on Uber Eats. I placed the order on Uber Eats which was again canceled after 20 mins and when I called her, she had no answer.

Just having good food some times is not enough, customer service does play a very important role in the success of a business.

Snacks are the best here… specially people from Mumbai… we took Vadapao & Samosas… they’re awesome…
common sitting area sometimes makes it’s difficult hear the call when you’re food is ready … parking available… no free water… better to carry some

Ordered "Dakor naa Gotaa", the
counter person must have heard "Dabeli". When served the Dabeli, mentioned that we order the Gotaa. The person insisted that we ordered
Dabeli, and said we will have to pay for the Gotaa if we wanted it. Needless to say, we will not be visiting the place again.

Naan is the attraction. We ordered chicken biryani (large) that tasted like pulav. Kadhai chicken (medium) lacks taste. Kabab (2pc) was ok. Lassi is thick and nice. All that cost us around $50.

We took two Gujrathi Thalis, except the chapathi nothing was good. The curries were stale couldn’t even take a bite of it, the rice which they served in the plate was not fresh, definitely it felt 2 days old rice. And the sweet was so hopeless. Overall it’s the WORST food I ever had in my 12 years of US life.

Ordered Chicken Karachi, Mutton Karahi, two kinds of chapli kebabs along with their naans for a house dinner event. Guests enjoyed food so I’m pleased to say the long drive was well worth the visit!

Go with no expectations. Below average food quality. Staff and owner are even worse. Food is definitely not worth the price.

EDIT: NOTE: The First few Pictures (Green Chairs) are from "Bombay Paratha" which nearby in Monat Plaza (Desi Galaxy complex). The last five are from "Lal Hut". This is a Google Photos Mistake.

Ordered a $ 9.99 small 'Goat Biryani' and asked gentleman at counter I will pay for some extra Goat. He said why not get the $ 14.99 medium, which I declined because of it would be too much quantity for my need for that day. When I got home, it turned out to be a pulao with exactly 1 good 'Goat piece' and the rest of it were bones - which went to garbage. If in this area, I would recommend 'Shalimar' or 'Desi Galaxy' - they are generous with their offerings and you will surely get VALUE for what you pay. Very disappointed.

EDIT (from 08/03 visit): I wanted to give Lal Hut a second try, because I had a guilt that I had written a harsh (and possibly unfair) review. I spoke to Hassan, the young manager and expressed my grief over the incident mentioned above. Not only did he listen to me, but also offered a free replacement (which I did not take). He explained cooks/chefs too are humans and subject to mistakes. I agreed (I too have my bad days) and ordered the same Goat Pulao. I am changing my review from one star to five star, because this time, they took care of me and the offering was excellent in taste and value. I also got a chance to speak to Musharraf, owners brother and requested they have a brighter light outside/someone to ensure no one is hurt while crossing the road, especially during their busy nights - Fri - Sun (I live on the same street and have seen people park and cross without regard - not the store's fault. Once again, thank you Lal Hut and management for doing the right thing. My best wishes to much success to your restaurant.

We drove long way to this place. And when we found this type of food court. it was quiet shocking. They have done a great effort to make such a theme. Since it is over crowded probably they have to look for a bigger place. Coming to the chatkaz, we had dal bati, which was awesome unfortunately the guju thali had some issues, one of the subzi was spoiled they immediately replaced the second one, but then i cancelled the order.... thanks guys! But need to improve in hygiene factor alone.

Wow. This place is incredible. I've tried so many restaurants in Iselin and have to say hands down this is the best tasting authentic Pakistani food around. I ordered several dishes and not one was anything but exceptional. They even gave me a free dessert for placing such a large order. This place is off the beaten path but worth looking for. Has a small seating area as well and looks very clean. The staff was also friendly and the owner even thanked me for stopping by. This is now my new favorite spot and will be coming here regularly. My favorite dish was the Chicken Karahi but they're all so good.

A free salad was provided which was delicious. The peshawari garlic naan was also delicious. The regular naans were good too . They were light and crispy. The goat karahi was good too. The goat karahi could have been a bit more cooked to give a deeper flavor but nonetheless it was tasty. The kashmiri chai was very bitter and I did not enjoy it. The restaurant offered another cup to replace that one but the second one was bitter too. The service was very good. The place itself is a small room but what I loved most about this place is that unlike most desi restaurants, they were considerate enough to not have disposable cutlery and plates.

Everything is made to order and fresh, I love Charsi Chicken Karahi, it's off the hook. Kashmiri chai is good when you're waiting for your food to be served or take away. Average wait time is around 30 minutes.

Had heard a lot of good things about the place, but was disappointed. The food was just ok, but the service was unbelievably bad. We had ordered the food over the phone and then got to the place after 30 mins, but it still took another 45 minutes for the food to get to us. The excuse was that there were a lot of take away orders, but still how could you have people who ordered-in wait in the restaurant. Anyways, don't think I am going back there again.

What a great place. Every thing was delicious but the Nihari was out of the world. Simply amazing. You've gotta try if you are at Oak Tree!
