Got Vijayawada boneless pulav and fish fry. Pulav is really good and fish fry is good too. Only negative is more added color in fish fry. Pulav does not have any added colors and tasted really good. Ambience is okay. With the place that they have, they managed pretty good.

Ordered haleem. Very bad and didnt expect that bad quality. I ordered on weekday and i suspect the meat was spoiled. My stomach was upset after eating, and i had to stay awake all night. I even took off from my work. Never ever going to this place again. I threw away the desserts, didnt want to take any chances. 🙏🙏 Management/staff - please don’t mess up with meats and people health.

I visited this place for an evening snack. I ordered for Samosa Pav and Pani Puri.

One of the best Samosa Pav ever. Samosa was hot, crispy and flavorful served side of masala and fried green chilli. Masala powder is finger licking good.
Pani Puri was also good and served with boiled potato and chana, Imli sweet chutney, boiled yellow peas and coriander chilli chatpata pani.

Samosa Pav-5/5
Pani Puri-4.5/5

I visited this place for the second time because my 1st time experience was too bad. The food is outstanding no doubt but the old lady who handles the bill counter is too arrogant aswell too rude...she speaks to her customer in very rude way like we five people went and we two decided what to eat other were thinking coz its length menu...they were looking what can they have as a snack but this old lady was soo rude asking them in very arrogant way so my frnds left the place. We ordered already so had our snack n then left. The young girls are soo cooperative and nice but the old lady...seriously nothing can happen with this old people

Made a mistake of ordering this to go food on a Tuesday. We ordered pav bhaji and Hyderabad dum biryani and it was stale. Bhaji was placed right on top of pav and was packed. The biryani was super flop. Wont recommend this place.
Absolutely delightful experience at this cozy Indian restaurant! The Chole Bhature is unmatched, and the Vijayawada Chicken Biryani offers a unique twist that sets it apart. Even the Butter Chicken and Dosa are exceptional. Every dish is a joy, with the only downside being the washroom's maintenance. Highly recommend for an unforgettable taste journey!

Beautiful decor, but go here if and only if you want to eat Indian fast food. No pizzas, no fries no dosas. Note to the owners just don’t have western food in your menu. It just is not fair for families with kids and it’s deceiving them they receive “Cheese Pizza” which is just a cardboard with cheese.
This is an interesting place on the Royal Ln. They have a lot of items but mostly on the snacks bit. We tried their cheese sandwich( Good), bombay veg frankie( Nice), Vada Pav(Nice) and finally the pav bhaji.

Nothing is too spicy or too pale- I enjoyed this place and would be visiting it again.

10/10 I recommend this. A quick, local casual spot for lunch. Somehow they managed to get this place to smell exactly how restaurants in India smell! That may sound odd but it was a very nostalgic aroma. Everything we got was delicious. We finished every bite! Got the chais, chowpatty Bombay dosa (divine! Their specialty), pav bhaji, and dahi papri chat. The papri chat was so good we got another order. Incredibly delicious and super fast service. The murals on the walls made you feel like you really were in Bombay.

I have only ordered delivery from them, but I've done it now 3 times and each time I have loved the food.

They truly live up to the name "spice"
...and it's so well balanced and flavorful that I'd be happy to keep ordering from them many more times.

If you like Indian food, this place is a must.

Food is generally good. But recommend getting take out. The place has always been a little run down looking on the inside. Don't get a particularly clean feeling from it.

The servers were confused with our orders and brought out the wrong food. Told us the wrong dishes that were not available. They were nice servers but should have wrote down our orders.

I was excited and convinced my office to order from this establishment. Upon entering IO immediately felt unwelcome and unwanted and the cooks were eating as they cooked. The food was disappointingly bland and the chicken tikka masala was pretty much watered down soup with a few (2-3) chunks of chicken in it served with no rice and Naan that was allegedly buttered but was much more like a large cracker. This was a huge let down for our office’s luncheon. i would not recommend this restaurant for anyone.
The dry fruit lassi is yoghurt with a lot of sugar and some color and nothing else… mango lassi is fine..Manchurian Frankie is basically oiled chapati with some grated carrot onion curry in it… the only thing that tasted good is the panipuri we took away home … it’s a little too expensive as well… now, do I ever visit them again? Only if I want to eat some panipuri and nothing else…!

Per the website, the restaurant closes at 11pm. We reached exactly at 10pm and we were told the restaurant is closed for dinning. They were only accepting take out. Just so the employees leave by 11pm, they are telling customers they are closed at 10pm. This is false advertising. Just be clear that you close at 10pm not 11pm. And then they tell us we should have called before we came. Just pathetic. Please call before you go because we have to eat per the restaurant's convenience and not the customers.

The lady at the front desk is friendly and was respectful. There no much people inside when we visited. We ordered a non veg thali and two kinds of biryani. They tasted good and the quantity of biryani is satisfying. Only suggestion is to make the thali unlimited at least for few items in it. The quantity seemed bit average but could be bit more. Ambience is cool with few items hanging on the walls which brought nostalgic feeling looking at them. Over all it is a place you can give a try when you are alone or with friends or family.
We tried only sizzlers here. They have 2 options for vegetarian sizzlers, paneer and Chinese one. Paneer sizzler was better. Prices are little higher. Ambience is very noisy and congested. Staff is extremely good, and so is excellent service.
We ordered plain dosa, onion dosa and samosa chat. It was good/normal. The rest room could have maintained better. Think this is more of a to-go place than dine-in. The atmosphere is unique though.
I recently visited this Indian restaurant and would rate it 4 stars. Their dahi puri was absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend it. The aloo toast sandwich was also a standout and left me craving for more. However, I found the vada pav to be just average in terms of taste. The milkshakes were a bit pricey considering the quantity, as they seemed to be a simple mix of Vadilal ice cream flavors and milk. Lastly, I was disappointed with the service as the staff seemed somewhat rude when taking orders and serving.
I’ve ordered Gongura goat curry with some Naans and goat biryani and I’ve even checked my order at restaurant and it mentioned as same gongura goat curry but I found out after reaching my home that they have given me some chicken instead of gongura goat curry. I’ve called and told them what I’ve got and they’re like- Will check with the chef and call me back but I’ve waited for an hour and no response when I called couple of times.
Please be make sure every time what you order and what you’ve got. Biryani was not good at all and Naan is okay.

Dropped by to sample a few dishes and make a catering order. Excellent food, great many options, good service. Ambience is simple and nothing fancy, meant for one to pick up and go than stay there for hours. Desert options are awesome 👍🙌.

After reading a lot of good reviews about this place, I wanted to give it a try. Ordered "dhagay walay kabab" and "haleem".
Never in my life have I seen Haleem like this. NO GARNISHING AT ALL. No onions, ginger, cilantro, green chilies, or lemon. Who sells Haleem like this?
With kabab, there's no chutney or raita. These are essentials for bbq items. How will you eat dry kabab. It doesn't look appealing at all. I mean charge some extra and add these things. My first and last time ordering here.

Visited this place on Jan 15 2023, for Lunch. Ordered Goat Paya, it came with a butter Naan. I literally have no words to explain how good it was. Perfect blend of spices and cooked to its perfection. Waitress was nice and kind to check Mutiple times if I need anything else. Its a 5/5 star experience for the taste. Ambience was okay, but it rules out over food taste.

Delicious food, enjoyed the authentic south central asian food, the restaurant is a cool place with great food options. The employees are very professional and serve the food in a decent time with smile. I enjoyed the Goat karai and goat chops. Very spicy but tasty!!!!!! Make sure to ask for the karai and tell them make it less spicy as it will be very hot and spicy if you do not tell.
Good place to visit and the food taste good.
Enjoy the indian pak taste of dishes!!!!!

Update: No complains on their service and food. Loved the malai kofta curry. Flavorful and finger licking good. Decent portion. Highly recommend trying their malai kofta curry either with a garlic naan or rice. Maintaining the consistency.

One of the few restaurants in Irving still serving decent meal. I have been visiting southern spice on & off since 2015. I like their thalis which seem like plate meals (a term used in South Indian mess) Good and decent portions. Never had a bad experience here. Price is fairly reasonable. Recently was craving for parota & curry and went to southern spice as no other place was serving parota. Food was tasty and fresh.
I definitely recommend trying their thalis.

I ordered chef special panner curry on May 1st 2021 for a take out dinner. To my surprise my wife found a cockroach floating within the curry and vomiting whole night. One thing she is scared of in her life is a cockroach, and the last thing one would expect to find in their food. Utterly disgusting and disappointed with quality of food, take out service and safety standards. Horrible.

Was totally shocked at this place in a good way, unassuming, not at all salubrious and unless you knew to come here, you probably wouldn't bother, but that would be a terrible shame! After being assured by a Pakistani friend this place was legit, I decided to come and try it out and was impressed by the quality of the food. Best Tikka Masala AND kebab I've had in Texas, and that is saying something as I'm always on the look out for both. Add to that great prices and a cute attentive waitress and you've got the perfect recipe for a tastes-much-better-than-it-looks kinda place. But don't let appearances be deceiving, if you come here for the food you definitely won't be disappointed!

Visited Dera grill today. Last time I visited was over 18 months ago. Unfortunately it seems the place has had a change of ownership and the new owners have not been able to maintain the previous standards of this place. The quality and taste of food have suffered. It no longer tastes freshly made and is overly salty. Service is good and prompt but the food did not impress

Had lunch here today and really enjoyed the expansive buffet. Vegetarians will love the meatless choices. If you like heat, some of the dishes deliver a decent kick. The fresh naan bread is delicious. A nice find and we will be back. A good value too.
No response from the management it's already been a week I had emailed them.

Good ambience 😄 . But too much of oil in every item. Not so healthy. Some items are prepared already and they just reheat it. I ordered Panner Tikka and they said it will take about 20 minutes. But then I got the order in less than 10 minutes, I was then suspecting that my order must have been reheated and that was true. They did not even reheat it properly. For $13 it's a total waste. Not coming here again. If you look for tasty and healthy food this is not the place.
As I walked inside I could hear me telling myself "can not bring corporate clients here". The ceiling is literally falling apart and seems it may fail any moment. Silverware was filthy and the crockery was ten different types. Walls were stained which was showing signs of aging. The hostess was very impolite and never came back to ask how we were doing.

That said, the food was good. I mean better than good. Not only did we finish everything but even got some to go. We will probably go there again for carry out.

Not a place to hold fancy parties and gatherings.

A great place to have spicy Indian food. Particularly the crispy shrimp was awesome. And the lasso was so thick that it was hard to drink through a straw. Liked the interior. It reminded me of the famous CST in Mumbai.

We tried chicken 65, chicken schezwan noodles was mouth watering and the chicken lollipop was is just amazing. Service is pretty decent and buffet is decent as well with various selection of chicken, lamb and vegetables. But buffet does take a bit of waiting time. But overall an amazing experience.
