Really stylish interior, friendly service and the food tastes great. And additionally to the "normal" Indian dishes (that you get at most Indian restaurants in Germany) they have interesting options like Indian street food. Recommend it.
Superb Indian thali, and everything tastes amazing. Also, great garlic naan. You must try their chicken 65. Recommending as an Indian.😊. Has a nice ambience, neat and clean and fast service.
For students and friendly budget wise I believe it is the perfect place to eat and get your tummey filled. I ate palak paneer thali (8 Euro) and Mango Lassi (2.5 Euro). In thali you get 1 naan which cut into two, curd, palak paneer, rice, daal, and salad. I would recommend this place undoubtedly especially if you are coming to Hamburg railway station (short distance) - dine in option is available. As a vegan or a vegetarian this is a perfect place.
The place is very clean, spacious, and ambient. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the food. The service is also very good. Apart from dining we also ordered the food for takeaway and since we had to travel, we requested them to provide the food in a box so that it doesn't cause any problem and they packed accordingly.
I recommend this place and will definitely visit it again if I visit hamburg.

Ein gutes Lokal für die Mittagspause, das Essen war gut und kam schnell. Der Service war nett.
We enjoyed our visit to Panjaab restaurant very much. I have to appreciate the very delicious tasting food and the excellent coconut and mango lassi. The environment of the restaurant is very pleasant and friendly and the service is very nice. I warmly recommend.

We ordered Pakoras in starter which were not so good, but the main course was better. We got Daal, although not on Menu but they managed to prepare for us, a chicken curry and a non veg curry.
There main customers are local, so the food is little bland. I would recommend them to keep some spices n chillies for customers wanting to have spicy food as they were not having even green chilli in their kitchen.

chicken madras as its best. usually, I eat one portion 2 times due to its big portion. not too spicy, but I still can taste lots of spices on it. This is also halal certified 🫶🏻

The taste of the food is good considering the price. It is an affordable place. The restaurant is very small and is always crowded. They have many vegetarian options and also many Indian sweets are available. We tried Bhindi Thali, Shahi Paneer Thali, Chole Bharte, Samosas and Mango Lassi.
This is hands down the best Indian food you will find in whole of Europe! Don’t turn back looking at the place from outside or the interior. Wholesome Indian food at unbelievable prices! Don’t miss their sweets and deserts too.

Food was surprisingly good and tasty. We had ordered 4 different thalis and all were good and tasty. Good food at a great price. The quality was Okish, one roti , two sabjis , rice, raita and salad. Service is fast and is token number based. But the problem is the place is small and is too crowded especially during the peak hours. We had to wait for 20 minutes and sit at different tables.

I have always loved chutney. I’ve known them since they had first opened. The food isn’t bad. I really like the chicken makahn, however over the years the portions have become so much smaller and the prices have been going up. I go to two different chutneys regularly and both are too stingy with their portion sizes. They don’t even fill up the boxes properly.
It makes me sad because I like the food, but I refuse to go to chutneys anymore because I think it’s an actual rip off and the money is not worth what they offer.

Das Vegetable Tikka war praktisch ungewürzt, sehr ungewöhnlich für die indische Küche.

food was fantastic, authentic and everything felt like home. tandoori chicken was amazing, as well as aloo kulcha and everything else we had. amazing vegan mango lassi and lovely people thanks we will come back for sure 🩷 area is really cute to sit outside. 11/10

I had lunch here today. The plate for 11€ is quite small, the taste of the sauce was nice and the lamb was OK (had a couple of not so good pieces). There could have been more rice, I asked for naan bread, but it would have been 3€ extra. I left sauce in the cup, because I would have needed more bread or rice. I would not order this portion again - more rice or a piece of bread was missing.
This is one of the few places in Hamburg, if not the only one, which has genuine south Indian food.

The food here was delicious! I tried the palaak paneer and dal makhani, they were both great. Mango lassi was also yummy.
This place serves authentic Indian food, almost like homemade! The samosas were so fresh and yummy 🤤 We loved everything we tried here and the hosts were really friendly and served us free illaichi coffee too at the end. Highly recommend!
This is my new favorite Indian restaurant. The food is amazing, portion size is big (was sufficient for me & my friend). They offered us a nice glass of Mango Lassi when our order was delayed. Friendly staff, good ambience and well located. I tried Malai Kofta, Chole Bhature, Paneer tikka & Chicken Tikka.

Upon ordering the South Indian meals at Hotel Saravana Bhavan, I was disappointed with the quality of the food. The dishes lacked the authentic flavors and textures that one would expect from South Indian cuisine. The rice was overcooked and the sambar was thin and lacked depth of flavor. The chutneys were also mediocre at best. The portions were decent, but the taste did not live up to my expectations.
Additionally, the service at the restaurant was mediocre. The staff seemed disinterested and were not attentive to our needs. The ambience was also lacking and the seating was uncomfortable.

Nice lunch place close to the office. Outside and inside seating area with lunch menu during the week. Very tasty food and a very welcoming crew who serves the food & drings. You have to try the mango drink which comes with the lunch menu for only EUR1.00. will be back soon
The quality of food is mediocre. The restaurant is right in front of the Hamburg train station. We ordered Mango Lassi, and it was the worst Mango Lassi I have ever had. The Lassi had grainy texture in the drink. It was probably due to milk that was churned or bad milk. 👎

This place serves amazing Indian food at great prices. The location is close to the central station where everything around the region is expensive. The thali (combos) are a recommendation if you have a good appetite. It's a self service quick service restaurant. Great value for many. Don't forget the deserts after your tasty meal.

Ich war dort zum Mittagessen und es gibt jede Woche eine neue Auswahl von Speisen pro Woche.
Alle Speisen werden frisch zubereitet und sind ausreichend. Für ein schnelles Mittagessen zu einem sehr günstigen Preis, kann ich dieses Restaurant empfehlen.

Super schönes buntes Ambiente mit Bollywood Akzenten.
Noch dazu überaus köstlich und mit einem sehr freundlichen Personal gesegnet.

Very slow place, food tastes good but is overprised
A very calm and authentic Indian place. Tried a Thali. Great food with a blend of authentic species. Family or friends both can dine in and have fun. Very friendly staff, very warm and welcoming. This restaurant makes me wanna come back each time I have something here.
Great chain for something quick and delicious. It's not the best Indian food for sure (not even sure some of these dishes are real Indian in the first place), but it most certainly does the job!
Habe hier vor einer Weile bestellt und das schlechteste indische Essen serviert gekriegt. Habe Chicken Makhani und Chicken Biryani bestellt. Das Fleisch war hart, nicht essbar. Biryani ist mein Lieblingsgericht und dieses musste ich ausspucken, weil es so ekelig war. Reis war langweilig, nicht mal gesalzen. Das Naan war ein verbrannter Tortilla. Nie wieder!

I have been doing food reviews for almost 2years now and as an native eater of Indian cuisines i can assure that this is by far the best restaurant i have eaten in Germany. Indian cuisines are not only about those spices but the small details that are taken care of . I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and the curry was bang on . Those roasted cumin and coriander seeds added in curry puls the julian of ginger added to it just took it to another level. And on top of that all the recipes are designed by owners mom so it makes all the difference.I personally talked with her and knew the difference from rest of restaurant . This is not paid promotion or something it is an genuine review and i would recommend all to give a try to this restaurant.🙏

This place serves the best Samosa and in a very affordable price. They chutneys are amazing and remind you if Indian street food. I have tried biriyani as well which is also tasty. I have heard chola bhaturas are the best here but yet to try it. They also provide you fresh paneer after 3pm at €16/kg. Chole Bhature thali is also nice and just for €6.
Paradise of south Indian food lovers, especially the Dosa! Was easy to get a table, service was friendly and attentive, and everything we ate was delicious! Compared to the franchise in Munich this is 10x better! Even the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend!
I ordered chicken tikka masala here from Uber eats and it took 1:30 hours to be done. It didn’t specify it came with rice so I ordered extra and had to trow it away since I don’t have any fridge.

Very rude staff. This is regarding one waiter or manager I don’t know exactly. He was very rude to us, maybe we are from North India and he was definitely from the South, which led to this discrimination. Our order was delivered super late, no proper attention was given when we needed something. I visited this place 2 months ago, would have loved to go back but never now because of that unfriendly staff. The guy from Bangladesh was very friendly though. Food was good with good ambience hence only 2 stars. You really need to improve your service.
Super delicious food! Definitely worth trying this Indian restaurant! Our kids become something to draw before we ordered! The food itself was very delicious and well prepared! I also like the love for the details inside of the restaurant. There were cool paintings from India and everything is very clean! Definitely worth trying this place. We also went inside 20 minutes before official opening and that was totally fine for them! Very thankful for that because outside it was heavily raining!
Ambience is good, service is super nice, polite, attentive and quick, the food is good. Authentic South Indian food but the flavor is somehow different than its chain in Frankfurt. We did order Rasam, Milagaipodi dosa and Parota Korma. Dosa and filling, korma and Parota were good, I did order korma twice. Then dosa was really nicely prepared, it had this thin crispy crust. Rasam and Sambhar were good but had a different flavor than Frankfurt. We were a little disappointed with the Chatnis; did not taste good. Coconut one was actually sour. But overall experience was good here. We would love to visit again.

Finally an authentic South Indian restaurant is here in Hamburg.If you want to experience the real mouthwatering south Indian vegetarian food. This is the place. You might need several visits to try all their dishes. I like the fact that they didn't compromise on the flavors or spices and kept it as authentic as possible. I am giving 5 stars for their authenticity and quality of food. Recommended

It’s a great experience. The atmosphere is inviting and pleasant. Amazing MANGO LASSI, Blumenköhl thali, and service.The restaurant's proprietor is incredibly polite, knowledgable, and makes excellent recommendations.I am away from my own country, yet visiting this place makes me feel at home with all of the decor and desi flair.

If these other reviews are genuine then I'm a Frenchman. If you use frozen vegetables and have zero flavour, then go ahead and eat here. It was a 20+ euro meal for something which tasted more like a Frosta. Thanks but never again.

So, being an Indian I could tell you that this is not something authenticate Indian taste. One part of my food was not even properly cooked, I could see the uncooked dough. Other thing was not bad but doesn’t taste much.

I had the Chicken Makhani which was good. In Europa passage food sky they are very crowded and there is a line to order, I suggest going towards U1 where they have a small to go stand and getting the food there where it is much faster.

Good snack. Chicken makhan is definitely the best dish you can get here.
Propably the worst Indian food so far. I had a really bad chicken curry, but was glad that I didnt take my girlfriends dish, a tandoori, that was even worse. We also had a piece of fried dew, they called it naan. Avoid!
The Ambience is very basic, but the restaurant is always full and one has to mostly wait outside to get a seat because the food is tasty and not expensive. Also a lot of variety of Indian Sweets to choose from.
