Very popular place as it was really busy when I visited in the morning. Good service. Roti canai with kuah banjir spicy 🔥.. with teh tarik...
Got there around 9.30am. Very fast service and the food are good. The only thing i dont like is that they didnt check our order properly. We ordered two roti canai biasa and got roti canai telur. It is impossible to know what kind since it is drenched in kuah.
Roti canai and the teh tarik was okay. The roti canai, chicken curry it came with was not warm. The roti bakar was good. All three item was at different stall with different guys taking orders. The place was small, so it was hectic. Overall place and food, its average.
Big breakfast Roti are so delicious, the owner suggested us to order toast and fried chicken as well as coffee, they are all good
If you're prepared to wait 30 minutes just to place your order and an additional 40 minutes for a plain roti canai, while being encouraged to choose their expensive menu items and experiencing subpar nasi lemak, then this establishment may meet your expectations. Unfortunately, the overall experience felt more like a scam than a genuine dining experience. I would not return. It would be beneficial if Google implemented a zero-star rating option for such overhyped restaurants, which seem to be driven by misleading food reviews.
Tried nasi lemak chicken but it was nothing special, rice was tasteless and one chicken we got was uncooked inside.

Dont order nasi lemak chicken, just stick to roti canai and teh tarik / teh ais. The dhal is super flavourful, sambal is the less spicy type

Fortunately, I tried this dish and survived. I was concerned about the cleanliness of the food, as I noticed feces sticking to the egg they used for cooking. We only came because it was recommended as tasty, but for me, it wasn't, and the price was high as well.
We had lunch at their Penang branch located at Penang street. The food was very good. We had a satisfying lunch with Moru. The Moru was superb. It was very refreshing especially in this hot weather. We also had kesari which tasted very nice as well. Generally, all food looked very fresh from kitchen. I hope they keep up their good work.

To be truthfully honest, I'm just curious why this place is so "highly rated" among foodie influencers. The roti canai is just, normal at best. Dump some watery chicken curry and skinny chicken drumstick on top and ta-daaa charge you arm and leg to sit at some alley like place. Even other mamak places can do better. The dhall has some burnt taste too (probably someone didn't watch the fire).

The toast bread with soft boil eggs on top also is a cut throat price, i had some nearby rm2 cheaper and tastier.

The best was probably the nasi lemak, but even that came with very skinny overfried chicken. Don't think the chicken in Penang diet so much right?

Come once if you're curious.
I love this place. I've been coming here for years. The friendly staff work hard and cook delicious South Indian Veg and Non-Veg food. Their banana leaf thali at lunch is fantastic and definitely one of the best you'll find in Georgetown. The place is clean and always full of local Indian customers who appreciate the excellent food here.
Food is good the Ghee thosai with podi is so yummy, the fish curry is good and the ice tea but service is really lacking and the flies. It looks really clean, no fault there but maybe a fly trap will be good for the flies that come from the outside and so much of the food is exposed. Service is what really disappoints me because they have many staff walking around and yet they forgot my order twice, not to mention some staff don't even look your way when you want attention. Go for the thosai it's so yummy, so I'll definitely do a takeaway next time but no more dine in.
Best local food around. Delicious authentic cuisine at reasonable prices. Would highly recommend anyone visiting to give this place a try!
Not Recommended!!! Tourist please don’t go!!! WHY??? You will get rip off as over pricey. Not to say the environment (dirty) and the foods taste (not impressive) as I’m sure there are more better taste nasi kandar within the vicinity, but the price ridiculously over charged too much and unreasonable. I ordered 2 prawns + 1 piece chicken + 3 lady fingers and was charged at RM48. I was told each prawn RM18 so 2 prawns cost RM36!!! It’s totally absurd & expensive; unacceptable for being charged at this price. I hope this post would help those people especially tourist avoid experiencing the same thing like me.
Must try n eat here . Good spot for a quick and cheap meal of Nasi Kandar.

The food is arranged on plates and you then let the staff person know which ones you’d like.

Line Clear Nasi Kandar is one of the most famous and legendary Nasi Kandar seller in Penang. Line Clear is located inside an alleyway/lorong

Service n staff very good
Food is excellent instead of restaurant n spending more $$
Served affectionately n very quick with no waiting time .
Although crowded but still can get place to sit n eat relaxingly
Must try all if got chance
Food is hot.
Cleaning of tables also quick along with fast service
One of the good nasi kandar around the town. Weekday non peak periods don't have crazy queue. Arrived at around 10+ and got my takeaway in about 10 to 15 mins. Nasi Kandar Ayam Goreng is RM9.50. Sotong is counter by piece. One piece RM9. Papadam is bit less and cost RM1.
Went over on the weekday.

Shop is situated in the lane. Not to be confused with the shop by the corner which claims that they are the same.

Crowd is still alot eventhough on weekdays.

Taste of the food is delicious.

Had mutton, egg and vege.

Cleanliness has been better since the previous incident which went viral.
They lost the concept of Nasi Kandar especially Penang’s Nasi Kandar. They are below the quality of a mamak eatery in KL. Curries were weak in flavours. I felt like I was eating rice drenched in a single flavoured soup.
Had briyani rice with fried chicken and scrambled eggs. Total 13.2 RM.
food tasted good! Just felt the vendor is offended because we didn't order any drink..
An average plate of nasi kandar. The mix gravy is quite thick but not the best flavour u can get in PG. Since PG is very famous for their nasi kandar, this spot has lost it's glory from the olden days. It's not as good anymore. U don't see the queue like other famous ones. The feied chicken is a bit too salty, in my opinion. Maybe it's just the day i ate. Can give it a try if you've never tasted, but it won't be a plate that will make u come back for more.
Long queue, but the queue is moving fast. Service is good. Very reasonable price. Overall, it's worth it to try this if you are in Penang. Kari sangat padu.
Good spot for a quick and cheap meal of Nasi Kandar.

The food is arranged on plates and you then let the staff person know which ones you’d like.

I had the chicken and beef with Okra; the sauce tasted fantastic but beef was a little overdone and chewy. Still, hard to beat for price and convenience.
Definitely worth a try despite the hype. Tasty curries, omelette bawang delicious, fried rice and curry mixture definitely flavourful. Go early to secure a place or be patient and line up.
So far the best nasi kandar in Penang. No regrets, worth the price. Came twice, and still satisfied. If you wanna avoid the que, come on weekdays. Parking available just opposite the shop and behind there’s a private parking with touch and go entry.
Famous and delicious nasi kandar in Penang. The curry tasted so good. This is absolutely one of most delicious nasi kandar in Penang. Also cheap. It's surpass my expectation.
Nasi kandar in the middle of the night. You to brave with the Que of people. New working hours 9:30PM to 9:30AM. Cashier accept card payments and QR code too. Grab delivery also provided.
Came here on a Sunday evening and there was no queue. Portions are large and priced are inexpensive. Pick and choose your protein (chicken cooked 4 different ways, eggs, mutton, or fish), they also have okra and cabbage. Delicious and quick service. All the staff were very kind.

Despite a long queue, the service is fast with an efficient system of split stations of 'dish assembler', 'cost counter' and payment. The dining area is also large and comfortable with them occupying the 2 units on the side. They even have their own parking area on the side road which cost money.

However, the most important aspect, the food itself isn't too impressive which is strange for such a highly rated establishment. The beef although tender enough is surprisingly under-seasoned, thus lack the salt despite having a well pronounced taste while other dishes are on par. The rice is well flavoured, infused with just enough fat while the curry mixes seems good enough. Maybe I should be getting the fried chicken on my next visit. Price wise is on par with the standards around here.

Taste factor: 5.5/10
Return factor: Earmarked to return for other dishes
Curious about what queuing at popular late night nasi kandar in Penang feels like? I did.
Luckily, I arrived half hour before business open and got row no. 5, watched them preparing the tables, and right at 9pm very long queu tailing behind me.
Got my nasi kandar with fried chicken, sauteed cabbage, egg omelet and mixed gravy on MYR 11.
The service was good though, they took my order nicely, and no rush as the other stall.
My tounge told me the taste was delicious, as common Penang type, but couldn't get something special, honestly. They also fried the chicken too dry, in my opinion.
The Q was veeeery long. But don't let it discourage you. Its quite fast and there are plenty for seats inside. This is the real concept of FASTFOOD. Q, order, pay, eat and leave. But the food taste amazing and price is very affordable. The only problem I had was parking. Everything else was perfect.

Great meal. When you come, they have a dish with only plain rice then ask you what food you want to add on. So you point and choose yourself food you like. We 7people had a good experience here. Their beverages are also nice. Milk tea is my favorite
Great curries with great selection of fish, meat & chicken dishes. But the fish head curry we ordered was moment away from going bad. It wasn't so fresh. Long queue especially weekends
The nasi kandar here is quite good. The pictures tell a better story than I can.

Opens at 12 noon, and there is usually a queue already, but the line moves pretty fast as they are quite systematic and efficient

Prices are midrange, and every item price is listed. But price wise, it's one of the more reasonable restaurants
Mutton and seafood will definitely be more expensive.

Parking is a challenge, but you can get easier parking closer to the market.
I recently tried Nasi Kandar at a nearby restaurant and was absolutely amazed by the flavors and quality of the food. The spices were perfectly balanced in each dish and the portions were generous. The service was also friendly and prompt. Overall, I highly recommend Nasi Kandar for anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal.
Ok. I would have give 4 star if no long queue. Rice, curry, gravy is pretty normal. You can get anywhere. Fried chicken is good. Too many people. Quantity instead of quality. No aircon. Price decent.
Up to your liking. For me, the crucial part of Nasi Kandar is the gravy. The mixture of different gravy, or individual dishes play a part to taste great.

Gravy - okay 3/5
Dish- 4/5 love the ayam bawang
Portion - 4/5
Price - 3/5 average
Fell into here with hungry tummies, emptyish pockets and low expectations. We had a great time! Masala dosa was fantastic, cups of aromatic tea hit the spot and the other guests were really friendly as were the busy staff. If this restaurant was back in Vietnam we would go there every day!
Banana leave was nice for vege, but variety of curry could be improvised. They have vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Pretty pricy for a just normal banana leave.
A very rude lady owner. When ask for curry extra she will stare and provide the curry in rude manner(by hitting the ladle harder on plate). Won't take order but will walk here and there without doing nothing.
The masala tea, vada, kesari, dosa and chutney was splendid as evening delicacies. Clean and nice place to dine in. I enjoyed eating all of above and love the decor done. Will go ahead for sure. And I did tao pao quite a bit too...🤭🤭🤭
Had a lovely “Chicken set”, 10.50RM. Rice, three side dishes and great chicken curry - all served on a banana leaf. The lime ice tea was a nice refreshment.
