Attended Rent musical. Absolutely amazing!!!
I am in a wheelchair after knee surgery. The theater had ramps and elevators as required by law. However, the section reserved for a wheelchair was ridiculous. One seat was removed from the front row. When the staff tried to put me in the “wheelchair” spot, they realized there was not enough space. Unless I was literally crushing the lady behind me. There needed to be at the very least a seat removed from the first and second rows. We were offered a spot on the mezzanine, but after they offered the front row to us, we had our hearts set on it. Plus, we paid for a VIP seat to be in the front row.
That being said, the staff was amazing. They were so helpful, nice, and kind.
Rent is one of my favorite broadway shows. The show itself was okay. There were some staples of Rent, that I felt were taken out. The artistic interpretation was… different.

Just came from seeing Rent. It was absolutely fantastic. The show was phenomenal and the hosts were so friendly and accommodating. This place is a Baltimore gem❤️

Just went to a fantastic production of Hamlet. The theater is in the round and immersive. Just enough interaction between the actors in the audience to keep it interesting but not distracting. The space just off the stage in between seating and the balconies becomes performance space. Well worth a visit, great environment and great acting. There are some great sitting and reading areas, and even a little side fun room for kids.
Clean, cozy and every seat has good view of the stage! The play "Mountaintop" was very good.

We saw the Complete Works of Shakespeare tonight and it was absolutely delightful. The cast had us roaring and they were so interactive with the crowd. The majority of jokes went over my daughter’s head (totally okay because many were adult jokes haha) but she still had a fantastic time and couldn’t stop talking about everything after we left. It was hysterical during a particularly raunchy joke when one cast member ran in front of her and started animatedly singing “the wheels on the bus” so she wouldn’t see. 😂 Casts like this one are a treasure. I can’t wait for our next trip to Baltimore to see them again. PS: thank you for stopping to take a picture with our daughter and showing so much respect and kindness! ❤️

One of the best theaters I have ever attended.
Wonderful venue and production! Came here to see Twelfth Night and it was a delight. The show was excellent. The building is beautiful inside and they have a bar with drinks and snacks. They have an arrangement with the Arrow parking garage nearby so you can get a discounted ($5) parking rate during the show.
My best moments to date in Baltimore happened just now just here.
We have seen many performances by the Vagabond Players and have always been impressed. In this case we saw The Fantastiks, and the performance was, well, fantastic! The female lead has a glorious voice, well trained, and well controlled. The rest of the cast did a very good job.

We saw Measure for Measure. As with all Shakespeare, at times a little difficult to follow because of the language. But essentially a #metoo play from several hundred years ago.
The acting was very good and it was easy enough to follow despite the archaic language. They setting was modern but it worked very well.
It was not theater in the round but somewhat similar because the stage projects out into the audience and it is surrounded by the audience on 3 sides.
The building is beautiful. It was a bank building at one time and as you can see from the photo, the ceiling is gorgeous.

I was just here to see the "Knight of the Burning Pestle." It was a terrific show with an amazingly talented cast and I will definitely be coming here again. Everyone was so very energetic and positive your could feel how happiness and fun in the air. Nothing was what I expected it to be and the cast really made my night.
I regret not being able to attend the after show discussion with the actors but I hope a positive review and a promise to return will suffice for now. =D.

Beautiful building renovation. Every seat has a great view of the stage. Fun atmosphere.
This organization is a gem. The cast and company passionatelyly embrace the material, and their on enthusiasm in interacting with the audience is infectuous. If you think "Shakespeare is boring" give the Baltimore Shakespeare Factory a shot.
The BSF is Shakespeare as Shakespeare intended. The theater is small and intimate, and the actors make full use of the space, moving up and down the aisles and around the apron, interacting with the audience as they go. As an English teacher, I always stress to my students that Shakespeare is not actually as stuffy or formal as they think it is, but that it can be funny and frequently lewd - that Shakespeare is for everyone. The BSF gets this. The actors bring the audience into the world of the play, and they really make Shakespeare fun.
My only complaint is the sound. The actors don't use microphones, so if you don't know the play very well, it can be difficult to understand or follow what they're saying.

This old church building is a perfect venue for Shakespeare. The pews are padded, thank goodness! The actors are very engaging, involving the audience directly so be ready! You are very likely to be sung to, spoken to, winked at, or have your jacket borrowed! On a hot summer afternoon, the performance space was a comfortable temperature for the audience. The preshow music did not start until 15 minutes before the show so we were really early, arriving 40 minutes before curtain allowing more than enough time to enjoy a glass of wine and view the poster wall. Overall, a very enjoyable afternoon! The actors' passion for their craft was obvious and greatly appreciated!
I can't say enough good things about this theatre! I had the most amazing night here. Just look at the pics! EVERY seat is great. The people who work there were so nice! The play itself was absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to go back!
Astounding, gripping performances!!! Typically offers a season of wonderful variety, including plays and musicals that are thought-provoking and stimulating. Extremely talented actors and directors. Staging and costume design are also incredible. Fabulous LGBTQ theatre in BMORE!
I went and saw their production of Othello and I was blown away. The acting was fabulous and the venue is really neat! It is an old Church and you sit on beautiful pews. The show is right in front of you! I was really impressed and can't wait to go back and see another show.
Enjoyed recent production of Othello in the original pronunciation. St Mary's Church provides an intimate space, allowing audience to interact with the actors. Theater is W/C accessible and tickets are inexpensive. Looking forward to future productions! Warning for summertime shows: there is no AC. Bring a hand fan and a hankie to wipe your brow. It is worth the sweat.
This was the first time I saw a play at this theater. The space is quite intimate with all seats close to the stage. The seats wrap around three sides of the stage. I didn't go up to the second balcony, but I suspect that those seats, with a downward view of the stage, might not be quite as desirable as the orchestra and first balcony seats.
The set of the show that I saw, Alice in Wonderland, was very nicely designed. The acting was over the top, appropriate for this show. The singing was musical, and the dancing was playful. This was an excellent show for the whole family.

Groundbreaking.
Very intimate theater...Not a bad seat in the house. Great location - On Broadway, right off Thames St. in Fell's Point. Great places to dine - before or after. Parking garages nearby! Vanya & Sonia & Masha & Spike was a finely directed performance with a well-cast group of dedicated actors. Very entertaining!
Fast-paced, gripping staging. Shakespeare Factory tries to recreate performance conditions of Shakespeare's time with music, songs, lots of audience contact.
Great place to see live community theater in an intimate setting. Tickets are priced comparably to other venues in the area. Bathroom situation is tricky so if you can, go before you arrive. The plays are always solid.
If you're a Shakespeare nerd, you will love this troupe. Check out their Original Pronunciation shows, and their series of plays by Shakespeare's contemporaries. They always bring a sense of fun to performances and a lively energy.
Fantastic community theater. Always good for a special night out on the town. This evening we were treated by a great musical. The rest of the season looks promising too. I'll be back for all of them. Do yourself a favor and come see a show for yourself. You will thank yourself.

A really great little theater. I think we have seen six plays here now. They have all been very high quality. The actors are very good. Its really a great place to go for a show. And its cheap. About 20 bucks for a two hour show. Cheaper than a movie if you factor in the cheap treats during intermission. I can't wait to come back and see another show.
