The service was great!
Great cookies/brownies. However the red velvet Brookie was definitely a lot sweeter than expected but it’s not bad.
The outside atmosphere can be a bit off-putting, especially if you can’t find parking nearby and have to park a couple streets down- especially towards the evening.

Awful customer service. I placed a delivery order for my daughter's birthday, but the site didn't give me delivery date option. I immediately called the store to change the delivery date. I was put on hold for 10 minutes and no one ever came back to the phone. I then called 13 times in a row and no one ever answered. Milk Bar then gave my daughter's order to Door Dash and delivered it today, even though I told them to not deliver until the 9th. These people don't care. Their stores are staffed with people who don't care and barely speak intelligible English. Don't do business here. Horrible.

Ordered from Ubereats. It said delivered in my app but it never was. The store couldn’t even provide proof to Uber that it was. Ended up getting a refund but poor experience. I wouldn’t order delivery from here cause they don’t use Ubereats drivers so Uber cannot track your order.

I recently visited this milk bar location and had a really bad experience. Right from the moment we walked in, it was clear that the staff were not properly trained. When we asked if they served coffee, they simply said no, even though their menu clearly stated otherwise. They claimed that their coffee machine had been down all day.

To make matters worse, we decided to try their famous Christina Tosi's birthday cake, but it was served ice cold. It felt more like eating an ice cream cake rather than a normal cake. Throughout our visit, we noticed other customers walking in and being served coffee without any issues. When we asked the lady at the register about this, she said they always had coffee and didn't understand why the staff told us otherwise. It seemed like the staff were just being lazy and didn't want to make a coffee.

This experience felt like discrimination, especially when the person who came after us was able to get coffee. I believe the owner should take immediate action and provide better training for the employees at this location. If they want customers to return, they need to improve their service. Personally, I will never go back to this location again.

However, I highly recommend the owner and the franchise person to take a closer look at this particular milk bar store and ensure that their employees are properly trained. This will help maintain a consistent customer experience and prevent incidents like the one I encountered.

As a huge milk bar fan, I was kinda disappointed by this location. My cake slice was rock solid because it was so cold and my milkshake was half melted. I felt bad for the two employees working the whole store that were getting inundated with online orders while trying to help in person customers. I expected higher quality from milk bar!

Basic atmosphere you can't ask for a lot it's a small cookie joint. My favorite is the fudge brownie with the Vanilla Ice cream make sure to have the brownie warmed up the Location on H street and northeast and the location in and uptown DC or the locations I have frequented. I like the location in Georgetown slightly better because in the middle of the night when all of the other restaurants are closed we set at their tables.

I ordered via door dash, and their courier from Insomnia delivered by cookies across town to the NW hood instead of the NE hood. Drove right past me to do so, and then hung up on me when I called him. Store calls me to tell me driver is lost - I know. They reorder for me and re-deliver, only it never comes. An hour passed (for 6 cookies and a cup of ice cream btw) and we called the store - we watched their tracker send the driver to our address and then complete the order - the store said she was still out delivering with 8-9 mins left until my order. Order never showed. Your job is cookies. How did I end up cookie-less and more irritated than before I began?

First time at Milk Bar this past weekend, so ordered a variety. Cookies were all individually packaged and processed-tasting…why have a flagship bakery if you’re not baking them in house? We own the milk bar book and have made several of the cookie recipes at home before….ten times better than what we bought. Crack pie was about as good as it is at home, so recommend that! Tried the pumpkin version and it was just okay. Birthday cake milkshake tasted like you were drinking straight out of a funfetti frosting container—I’m sure someone loves that, but I won’t be ordering that again. Also ordered a slice of the chocolate birthday cake. Realized after getting home that we didn’t receive it. Disputed the charge on their ordering platform, submitted an email, and still have not heard anything back about their mistake.

Overall we love Christina Tosi and her cookbook, but completely underwhelmed by the bakery experience and customer service. We’ll just continue to make the recipes at home and skip ever going back here.

The special cookie with the caramel and pretzel in it was super yummy. Also the Brookie is always a favorite, but it did seem like it was sitting in the oven for a while. Wish it was a little softer.

This cost me $11. I am used to milk bar's regular cake slices, which take up the entire box. However, the pumpkin cake slice only took up a third of the box. After opening up the box, I went to return the cake 1/3 of a slice, however, she refused to take it the cake slice back. After not being able to return it, I thought this must be the best cake slice in the world. It was average 6/10. Do yourself a favor and walk half a block to whole foods and get their pumpkin cake or cheesecake and it will be much better!

Desert was so amazing. Best milk bar I had in a while. The employee devotia was not nice she was on her phone half the time and very snappy. It was a decent experience other than seeing a BUNCH of smoke come from the bathroom after the employee devotia came from in there it smelled like sweet smoke. It was very very unprofessional and I will be putting in a report somewhere hire up for a health hazard and inspection. I don’t enjoy smoke around my food!

This place was pretty crowded, especially for 9:30 on a Monday night. There was only one employee working, but she did a remarkably good job of serving everyone quickly. We got the greatest hits, which included four items for $24 and a chocolate b-day milkshake. All were definitely a bit overpriced. Cookie came pre-wrapped and tasted like it was several days old. The pie was delicious, but the shake had a lot of sprinkles which messed with the flavor and texture. Very limited, dim seating area.

The cookies were on point. They were warm and soft the perfect cookie. The service was excellent. This is a small shop, maybe some standing room if you don't want to walk and eat, but this definitely feels like a takeout dessert place. My only disappointment was there weren't any creative flavors and I don't remember seeing any vegan cookies.

LOVE it here! Wish I knew about this place sooner, definitely a must try with so many dessert options there is something for everyone here. The lady at the counter today was awesome! She let me have a sample of the cereal milk soft-serve and recommended me to get the milk shake. She was very sweet and made my day.

Definitely a must do when I come back to the city!
