Reviews

We have had an excellent experience with the Goddard school of Paramus. From the moment of enrollment, our children were kept safe, happy, while learning. The staff and teachers are dedicated, caring and professional. The facility is spotless. We are so happy we picked this school!

My son has been attending Primrose School of Paramus for almost a year now, and I could not be happier. I highly recommend this school/daycare.
From the minute that we walk in every morning, we are always greeted with a smile. Usually by Ms Demi(the director )From there my son is so excited to get to his class to see His friends and teachers. Some of his amazing teachers are/were Norka Jemm Amanda Teresa and a few others. One thing i love is that all the teachers genuinely care and love the kids. Everyone knows us by first name, even the teachers that aren’t in his class. They are always very good with keeping me updated if anything comes up with him and are always a phone call away if I need anything.
We love primrose and i will continue to send my son here till he goes to school.

We had a wonderful experience at the Goddard School. This school excels in both daycare and preschool, providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. The staff is incredibly caring and attentive, ensuring that each child feels valued and supported. The curriculum is well-rounded and engaging, fostering both academic and social development. My son thrived here and looked forward to going to school every day. We are grateful for the positive impact Goddard School had on his early education. Highly recommend!

Do not recommend this school for any children they do not do nothing when a child gets hurt the director does not know how to treat teachers she does not like helping out in any class. This school needs a new director as soon as possible

Excellent teachers and administrators; my kid loves going to school! Attentive, caring and safe environment

We toured several schools in Paramus before settling on Goddard. We passed up two very popular franchises that were closer to our home and chose Goddard for the following reasons:
1) Great curriculum. We compared the work of the older students compared to the other schools. Most advanced/engaging curriculum by far
2) Low turnover. Ask how long the teachers have been there or how long the admin have. The three main admin have been there since the beginning (over 5 years ago) and I have yet to see one teacher quit since we started our child here. Other schools we saw turnover within months (we toured multiple times)
3) Have an indoor gym. Great for rainy/cold days!
4) They don't send out unnecessary newsletters/constantly ask the parents for more money or help for events. If parents are interested you can reach out but they won't be contributing to any "mom guilt" if you don't have time to spend on x or y event.

JJ Paramus Day Care is a wonderful daycare center! The staff is caring and attentive, and the facility is clean and inviting. Highly recommend them for anyone in need of quality childcare.

Goddard Paramus has been wonderful for our 15 month old son, who has been enrolled since 6 months. The teachers are very hands on, the administrators are communicative throughout the day, and he seems to be learning new skills every day…it’s been so fun watching him bring those skills home. The facilities are extremely clean and organized.

We have been a part of the Primrose family for over 5 years and we could not be happier! The staff cares for my children like their own. The classrooms and the entire facility are always clean and well taken care of. Primrose is not just a daycare, it’s a school that teaches and prepares children in a warm, nurturing, loving manner.

My son has been part of their infant program, and I absolutely love his teachers, Ms. Norca and Ms. Teresa. They are very attentive to my kid . Keep me communicated with every single update about my kid with pictures ( which I would like more of) .
I am very appreciative of care my son receives

Primrose of Paramus is the best place to be I love the teachers, admin and the directors they are very caring and helpful. I love the fact that this place is a family. The staff are excellent with the kids.

This place is disgusting, it needs a deep clean, throw away the broken toys, repair the foam on the jungle gym, so that’s safe for kids, and clean the bathrooms so that there’s not urine on the floor and blood on the toilet.

My children love this place there is so much to play with, even costumes they have so much fun, the place is large and clean I do recommend it

As someone with a Primrose work history… I would personally not send my child here. The teachers are kind and care about the children, but are severely mistreated and unappreciated by the higher ups. The director is unfortunately very inexperienced and thus the school is chaotic. Enrollment and classroom advancement schedules are not properly followed as the focus is not on advancing your child, but bringing in more money. State ratios are not followed regularly, broken items are rarely repaired, teachers purchase the necessary required items to teach the curriculum yet are never reimbursed, and supplies such as diapers or wipes are constantly out, leaving teachers to put children in the wrong size diaper or wipe them with damp paper towels. The owner does not help in any aspect of the school’s issues either. Teachers are essentially given scripts and need to pretend all is well when he or the state come to visit. If someone is to speak up, the retaliation or threats from admin is fierce. It could be in regards to a child being sick or even to discuss simple ways you can talk to your employees in a polite matter. The school and select teachers have previously been under investigation as child safety came in to question. Many teachers have been fed up and continue to walk out the door, leaving the children with much inconsistencies and confusion. It is all very unfortunate as the school holds much potential.

The daycare's staff are absolutely amazing. Adept at handling toddlers.
My toddler started with 15 word vocabulary, he went on to being so much more verbal and to singing & dancing in a span of 8 months. They make dedicated efforts to help your child grow. 🫰🏽🫰🏽💕 Thank you for your efforts!

Our son genuinely loves coming to school every day, and we could not be more thankful for the staff at Primrose. He comes home from school every evening eager to share stories about his day, and it's been such a joy to see him grow to build friendships with his peers and for relationships with his teachers.

Don't waste your time booking this place for a birthday party. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had renting a party place. They are very misleading in their rental agreements and the packages are overpriced. They want you to pay for children and adults that didn't even make it to the party due to sickness. I could understand the paying for the children since they had to set up for them but not the adults. They don't cater to adults at all, so why pay if the person is not present. The manager excuse was they already paid for the kids food (what food!!! 1 slice of pizza cut in half and fake iced tea for a package that starts at $599). He couldn't find a liable excuse for the adults (mind you I bought extra food for the adults). The food menu is also overpriced. This place got 1 star because the lady helping for my sons party was very nice and understood where I was coming from. The cherry on top was my son's friend spilled the juice by accident on the table, one of the staff was giving me attitude because I asked him for paper towel to wipe the mess (mind you they charged about $200 for gratuity). He only provided us with 1 ply to wipe the juice off the table. The manager is clueless and very dismissive. All he cares about is money. The place is not even that big for them to charge that much for a 2 hour party. Don't tell me I didn't warn you!!!

Dark and not nearly as clean as other indoor playgrounds we have visited. Dust and debris all over - there were bits of rubber from popped balloons all over the play area. We went in the morning so no reason it should be so dirty. My son woke up the next morning with pinkeye in both eyes. We definitely won’t be back.

I wanted to take an opportunity to express my gratitude for the care that I continue to receive at Prime Rose Paramus. My son squirms with excitement as we near his classroom door knowing the familiar faces he will see on the other side similar to how he does with very close family when we see them. I say this to describe how much of a loving attentive and family like approach to care that our son receives there. The front end staff and Nicole are so attentive and always greet me but are aware of how my son is doing, giving the very personal touch and making us feel important and cared for- not just another kid. Miss Theresa is very dedicated to maintaining a developmentally rich environment for the kids. She is so knowledgeable as well as nurturing. She is so thorough in communication with us as parents as well. Miss Norka is incredibly caring, loving and compassionate at her job, where it doesn’t feel like I am leaving my child with staff as much as I’m leaving my child with family. The level of attentive care by both of these women is absolutely unmatched. As a new mother I was wrought with guilt leaving him in care without me and so young (we started 3 1/2 months). The love that they show my son everyday completely changed those feelings. My husband and I SEARCHED through so many child care options and were back and forth between choosing prim rose for a little while- if I knew what I know no it would have been a no brainer. the entire team there has made it so easy to deal with the mom guilt of going back to work.
I cannot express how grateful I am to be so confident in leaving my baby with people who I know have his individual care at the top of their priorities. The ability to feel so positive about where I am leaving. My son makes all the difference and I cannot tell you how incredibly humbled, grateful, and appreciative I am. I hope that these words can convey a fraction of my feelings. I hope that these women are recognized for their incredible work.

I cannot praise The Goddard School of Paramus enough. Our journey with The Goddard School of Paramus started back in 2019 with our daughter. My wife and I were first time parents doing our tours of local schools and were taken back by our visit with Ms. YJ. Other schools gave us a quick walk through where Ms. YJ was very detailed about what our daughter’s curriculum would be and showed genuine care about our daughter’s wellbeing. We left that visit knowing this was the school to send our daughter.
Pre-Covid, during Covid and in our semi post Covid times the facility has always been super clean where the owners and staff strictly adhere to the department of health and CDC guidelines. Our daughter really flourished in development due to the excellent structured curriculum and the caring and compassionate staff.
When it was time for our Covid baby son to begin school, The Goddard School of Paramus helped with his interacting with his peers and opening up socially as the first year of his life he had only physically interacted with his direct family. Our son continues to flourish in his education and social interaction which we attribute directly to The Goddard School of Paramus.
If you are looking for an excellent school which has a foundation around compassion, educational learning and development look no further than The Goddard School of Paramus.

Very nice and friendly staff. Both my kids are enrolled in the daycare. They enjoy the large indoor playground and hate when I pick them up early! Mr. Steve is very friendly with all the kids and Shannon is very helpful whenever I call to ask questions.

This is a wonderful daycare/preschool. Staff greet parents in the morning with a warm welcome, they take time to address any questions and concerns, and their teaching techniques keep the students engaged during the day. I am glad we found such an amazing facility that gives us comfort in knowing our children are benefiting so much at such a young age. Also, the owner and director are so friendly and accommodating to the parents. They take the time to know each child and their families.

WOW!! We just had our sons 3rd birthday here and everything was beyond amazing. The place itself was beautiful, very clean, and so much fun for all the kids at the party ranging from 6 months to 10 years old. Even the adults had a blast!! The staff were FANTASTIC!!!!! Everything was set up perfectly and they were so great with the kids and took care of everything to make the party run smoothly. Honestly this was the best party we have ever been to and we are lucky that it was for our son who had an absolute blast!!! Thank you thank you for a wonderful day!!!!

The teachers at Ridgewood Montessori are SO wonderful and our two toddlers have had such a warm, safe, and fun experience there! The curriculum and activities are so impressive. We searched far and wide, looking at many schools, and Ridgewood has exceeded every expectation!

Don’t go there, save your money. I’ts an overpriced daycare. $16,000 a year equals false promises. They offer a discount rate when you pay in advanced, but when this facility closed due to the Covid Pandemic, they only gave a partial refund of 25%. They did not offer any credit for the following year. Also, once this happened they refused to return my calls and e-mails for my full refund. They had a gala to raise money for the security of the building. A year later they never implemented any part of the plan. The lost can go on and on.

Will start my review with "Don't judge a book by its cover".
School looks very nice, A total eye catcher.
I sent my daughter to The Goddard at Paramus from October 2019 till January 2020, from that period of time my daughter got SICK inumerous of times, lots of visits to the doctor's office and Urgent care, she had a virus every other week, for the first time my 4 year old had to take antibiotics a very healthy kid who barely got sick before. After 3 months of seeing my daughter getting sick so many times me and my husband decided that we needed to get her out of that school.
Problem solved.

Beware of the Seedlings room. My child attended during the 2018-2019 school year. On the first day I found out that the teacher from the previous year left and a new teacher started. Even though I was told during my tour that there is a Montessori trained teacher in every room that was not the case. The new teacher was not Montessori certified. Overall I don’t think she should be teaching at all let alone this age group. She always seemed annoyed by the children and she lacked common understanding on how to deal with them. When I visited the class to do an art project she appeared lazy and did not help her group put the art project together properly or help teach them how to do it. My child hated his time at this school and developed a few bad habits to gain attention. Every single morning he would throw tantrums and not want to go. I thought he would get used to it, but he was so bored and frustrated. It was painful to get him inside. I ended up taking him out of this school full time and he went part time because they will not refund your money after December. Even on the last week of school I observed another child crying to her mom because she didn’t want to go in. There is no curriculum so there is nothing to measure what or if your child is learning. I would always ask what they were doing in class, what songs were they teaching them, etc. and I would get a general answer like we do circle time and work with the “materials”. Probing for more information turned out to be useless. This is more of a baby sitting facility than a school. The facility is also not as clean as it appears. Their were 2 rounds of coxsocki that wiped out the whole class, stomach virus that went around, and on the last week Thrush. None of which they alerted the parents about. I am so happy with my decision to take my child out of this place. My child is thriving at his new school. If considering Ridgewood Montessori School, my advice is to wait for Pre-k 4. I’m sure the leadership puts more attention into those classes because the children are verbal and will be able to articulate what goes on all day. Lastly, don’t expect to receive nice art projects that give you insight into what your child is learning in Seedlings. Week after week I would get a folder of water colors splattered on paper and there is 1 easel for 16 kids which means they most likely have to wait all day to get a chance to paint. This is not a fun educational place for this age group.

Great facility with wonderful teachers

This school is wonderful. The administration really "gets it" and does everything in their power to provide a loving, nurturing, challenging environment for the students. They are constantly improving the school - both the physical space and the curriculum - bringing in the latest in educational advancements. They recently created a science lab, a makers/technology room and coursework, and brought an engineer in from the Tappan Zee Bridge project. The teachers are happy and dedicated to the success of each and every student. They focus on the the child's total development, giving them what they need to be successful each day. One day it might be a practical life lesson and another day it might mean giving them a hug. :)

Ridgewood Montessori treats us truly like family. The entire staff is warm, helpful, and truly understands the needs of each family and child. They go above and beyond to put the children first, and are so accommodating. The teachers we have had experience with are fantastic. Our children have grown and developed leaps and bounds after just a few months. I highly recommend Ridgewood Montessori School to anyone who is interested in a traditional Montessori school for their kids/family!

It is a very good place for having fun with kids! It is clean and cell maintained. The interior is looking better than any other kids fun places I've ever been to.
They have nice cafe, air hockey, two separate playgrounds, three play zones, Xbox with enormous screen and huge toddler area.
The equipment in excellent condition.
Staff is friendly and nice.
Definitely recommend visiting this with kids.

The school has awonderful staffs who patiently assisted my son with transitioning to the school. The owner Wendy esp. helped so much when we first enrolled by taking him from me and distracting him from having to leave his mommy so I can actually get to work on time. One yr later, he still happy and excited to go to school. The kids are being challenged individually and he always say the most surprising thing to me all the time and I know he learned them from school . I highly recommended enroll during camp time when there is more activities and less academic to help them with transition.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. The staff is the most caring, genuine, loving people that I have encountered outside of family. And here's the thing - you are family at Ridgewood Montessori. The entire staff (and it's not a small staff) get to know your child in some way. Your child's teachers develop a strong connection and bond with them. At any point that you go into the school, you can see children working on a skill set, or sitting in circle time, or reading. Even in the small children classroom (18 months), you will not find children running about and screaming and causing commotion. Such a well organized school, where the staff fosters development on an individualized basis. I now have 2 children in the school and have been a part of the family for 3 years. And I will tell you, every week I am impressed and stunned by what my child has learned. The love that they receive while at school is evidenced by the smiles and eagerness to tell us how their day was. The school was a blessing and the staff is truly God's gift to our children who cannot be at home with us. It's truly a perfect school. Mind you, I interviewed 9 schools in the surrounding area and without a question, this is THE best. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Our son started attending this when right around his 3rd birthday. I was nervous at first, not knowing what to expect. Little did I know that nearly 4 years later this school has become a family to us. The staff has been very loving and supportive. No matter what the situation... they worked with us and with our 2 kids that now attend the school. They offer kids club when we needed the extra care during school breaks. They were there to listen to our concerns about potty training. I could write on and on. In short, we love this school and our kids will always cherish their experience.

It's an amazing school, run with love and a real focus on the children. I know I'm providing my child a strong foundation on which he can build on, and the folks at this school are directly responsible for that. I'm truly grateful to have found the Ridgewood Montessori school...to be honest it was my wife who found them.
