Really great school with the most incredible teachers!
our family loves Armstrong preschool. My daughter enjoys going to learn and play!
As a parent of 3 students, I feel so fortunate to send our children to IHCNS. The care of the whole child and commitment to education provided has helped my children not only grow, but thrive. They have been loved, nurtured and challenged well by each teacher and staff member and they’ve forged friendships that’ll last for many years to come. I highly recommend IHCNS!
The staff here is incredible! They care so deeply about the children, provide well thought out and executed curriculum, and have safety as a huge priority. I really love how they work with the school district to make the transition to kindergarten seamless.
Both of my children attended IHCNS from age 2 to age 5. Both entered kindergarten well prepared for the kindergarten experience, both academically and socially. Kindergarten teachers noted their academic preparedness and leadership skills upon entering a larger classroom environment and I credit the teachers at IHCNS for this preparation. One of my children has a disability (hearing impairment) and the staff was absolutely amazing assisting with her transition to wearing hearing aids and creating a warm and accepting environment for her. IHCNS is truly a community that nurtures the whole child.
All of my children attended IHCNS. It doesn’t get any better! The teachers are so loving and truly care about each child. The director is stellar and I simply cannot recommend their 2’s through 5’s programs enough!
The play based learning model that they use is a wonderful environment and the teachers are so nurturing! My kids have made wonderful friends and have been very prepared for kindergarten. They have all loved going to school here!
We are finishing up our 1st school year at TGR Madeira. My daughter is almost 4 and she absolutely loves TGR! Every week she is singing a new song she learned at school and her vocabulary has exploded since she’s started at the school. The teachers are amazing- always positive and create a warm, caring environment for the kids. I’m very happy to be sending my daughter there again next year, for her last preschool year- I know academically she’ll be ready for kindergarten!
That school is trash When I was there for 6th grade a teacher put her hands and foot on ME
Made the principal aware that my son was getting bullied and instead of trying to come up with a plan to help my child my concern was ignored and was told that my son will end up in alternative school and they would constantly lock my son up in a room by himself and and enclose him in there. Etc. A new principal for this school is needed bad!!!
its horrible just horrible. Ps Shockley learn how to run a good environment then a toxic bulling one
When we enrolled our child a few years ago we informed the staff and administration that she was disabled. They told us they were equipped to handle the situation. We brought our child in to view the facilities and introduce her to the teachers. After a week the primary teacher gave up and we were asked to dis-enroll our child.
This school feels like home. All of the staff makes it their job to know each student and their family.
This school is everything we needed and wanted for our son. The teachers are warm, nurturing and supportive to both the students and parents. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this amazing school. My son has learned so much as well as made friends. I love their emphasis on kindness and helping each child reach their potential (and fellow germaphobe moms- they also place a premium on cleanliness and hand washing 👍🏼)
Another bonus is the flexibility in scheduling - morning, afternoon, optional early drop off, lunches and “stay and play” and summer camps. It has been a wonderful experience and we highly highly recommend!!!
The Growing Room preschool is truly one of a kind! I first became a part of the TGR family when my cousins attended school here starting 10 years ago. This relationship transitioned into me being a teacher at TGR for the past 3 school years and there really is no school like it! I cannot think of any other preschool I would rather work at or send my future children to! I absolutely love all of the philosophies taught at the school and truly believe in the program. Families and students come first at TGR. Cincinnati is lucky to have such a wonderful school in its communities!

Very rude staff. I misunderstood an email, clearly replied back in a way that I was confused about the start date. My mistake was not corrected until, I called about starting (around the time I thought the start date would happen). I was made to feel like an idiot over the phone and told I was the only person in the history of the school to make this mistake.
Don't go to this school I been here since 1 grade and I'm so happy 😁 I'm a 2017-2018 grad this school has bed bugs don't even get me started I saw a beg bug crowing in some one ☝️ a nother bed bug crowing on the grown the teacher rude the principal rude and does not help with bullying I been bullied since 5 grade and I'm in 6 grade still getting bullied but like I said whooooo im a 2017-2018 grad thank you 😊 god for taking me through this journey
I remember a time in my 5th grade year a girl brought a knife to the school
Local community grade school Preschool - 8th grade
I went to Pleasant Hill academy for 2 weeks and hated it and transferred to College hill Fundamental Academy and fell in love with it. The staff is like family, the academic studies are great, and you can always show off your talents, whatever it may be.
It is an amazing school. I have been going here since 1st grade and now I'm currently in the 6th grade. Wooohoooo! Class of 2016-2017
The best school ever it is a wonderful academic school.
One of the best schools in the district! Many opportunities for children to learn, no bullying and distractions and excess behavior in the classroom like other CPS schools. Many well-rounded teachers, diverse, attentive, and very clean people and atmosphere. School is diveses in students and academics also. Many opportunities from teachers to parents to engage in School activities, fundraisers or fun dances, and good old school teaching environments like that. Modern, but old values and ageless virtue. The Hartwell I remember when I was a kid.

Teachers show to much favoritism, children use bad language and bully.
This year marks my fourth year teaching at TGR and our School is small but mighty! Attendance here has grown over the years through word of mouth and social media and The Growing Room has been Madeira's little treasure nestled between Kroger and Coffee Please for 17 years! The past four years have been such a happy time for me! I love coming to work everyday and I am so proud of the work that we do here! We work hand in hand with our parents to encourage kind, compassionate little leaders with strong social character! We work hard to foster a balance of play, art and music while providing the academic foundation that our little graduates will need to be prepared for Kindergarten. But Preschool is not just about being prepared academically, my friends, it is about helping to raise little humans! Besides being a parent, this job is the most rewarding experience I have ever had!Thank you Missy Griffin for having the courage to start this little school and to work hard to connect with families on an intimate level while providing a program that is like no other! As another new year approaches, I know that there will be new challenges ahead as we help to foster the social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth of another group and I am ready to fall in love, once again, with a new family of little humans!
The Growing Room is a wonderful, loving preschool in the heart of Madeira, Ohio, that serves children ages 2 1/2 - 5. Missy and Michele have created a loving and nurturing environment where children grow and learn both academically and socially. If I had known about The Growing Room when my children were in preschool, I would have sent my children there because of the small student to teacher ratio and the positive school culture there. I have watched Missy with her students and I can see that she has a gift for being in early childhood education. I substitute teach with Missy and Michele from time to time, and help on field trips to the Children's Theatre and other fun outings, so I speak from experience when I say that these two teachers love what they do and they do it with love! If you are lucky enough to get into this preschool, you will be happy with the experience that you and your children have there!
I've taught in the fine arts for 16 years and had the privilege of working with the teachers and students at The Growing Room for their Summer Theatre Workshop. I learned so much from these ladies during the time I was there. It was such a loving, encouraging environment. Somehow the teachers managed to connect with each child each day and to raise them up to celebrate their strengths. The children arrived with enthusiasm, smiling as they ran in, and they left with smiles on their faces. I wish I had known about this school when my children were younger! Despite another reviews claims, the teacher to student ratio was even better than the 2:12 ratio they state in their information packets. I can not imagine how anyone would have anything negative to say about this well-respected school that has proven results and teachers that I would trust with my children any day. They are rare gems. Parents who have children in the school have applied ON TIME. I can only imagine the negative review would be sour-grapes over knowing what someone had missed out on.
