Anne Arundel Hall

the building itself has a pretty cool style and vibe. everyone who lives here is kind and welcoming! i love visiting here, and it's right by mckeldin library, which is super convenient too. pretty close to the south campus dining hall and the convenience store, and the walk there is pretty scenic, so it's usually quite enjoyable. of course, there are bike racks in front of the building, and there are grills too for whenever you want a nice barbeque. there's no real negative here. it's one of the more home-like dorms, and their basement is very nice to just hang out in, as there's a piano and a projector for anybody who wants to have a great time!! really a great vibe throughout the entire hall
this place is so cool! the stained glass is beautiful from the inside, and it's just a really cozy area. the building itself looks very brooding and dramatic, and the area around it is super friendly (i love the landscaping and all of the sitting areas). whenever it's open, i love stopping by and taking in some of the history, too. the museum has really nice pieces of furniture and clothing from howard county and especially ellicott city's past. it's a really quiet spot, so it's great for some silent reflection, too. honestly, i love just walking around these streets and coming up by this church and the courthouse, as the winding streets make for a fun journey from the busier main street. in the warmer months, the greenery is really appealing, as there are plenty of lush plants in this area, giving it an incredibly welcoming air. it's cute and free! what more could you want?
