On my first appointment here a year ago I was mostly happy with the service and treatment I received, for my first couple of appointments they used to take time to throughly wash and apply treatments, parting my hair and applying it to my scalp, talking me through the service etc and giving proper blow drys at the end.
However things quickly declined and it seemed to get worse and worse after each appointment. There always seemed to be someone new or being trained and on one occasion a trainee stylist took nearly two hours to blow dry my hair, with no apology or anything at the end, if your going to be treated by a trainee there should be some warning and the price should also reflect this.
On the other hand most of my recent appointments I’ve felt as though the service has been very rushed and they’ve been understaffed. On my last appointment I was left feeling very dissatisfied, after informing the hairdresser/owner that I had just taken out my weave before the appointment, my hair was only shampooed once (this was definitely not enough) and then the treatment was applied quickly with what felt like no care, and I was put under the steamer, without the chair adjusted so my whole face was put under without anyone noticing until I called attention to it lol. I then had a trim and my hair was not sectioned at all, it was literally done in 2 mins, this is in contrast to times I’ve had my hair trimmed in previous appointments where time was taken to properly section off my hair and go through each section. Then to top it off my hair was blow dried in 5 mins, it felt very rushed and honestly I could of done a better job myself at home.
I find this salon to be very inconsistent and for the prices they charge it’s just really not worth it. There hasn’t been much change to my hair after consistently attending appointments here every month for a year, there’s no luxury feel, refreshments have never been offered to me at any appointment and the stylists are not very friendly tbh.
