Not many places in town where you can outdoor skate. Part of The Shipyards converts into a mini skate plaza during the winter. $7.00 skate rentals for adults, but they’re not great.
Fun but way too packed with kids and the island areas get clogged. Wouldn’t come on a weekend, weekday is the way to go.

Decided to try Tik Tok on Thanksgiving as they were open. Wanted to try their Thanksgiving dinner ($18.95 USD) but it was already sold out.
Shared a chili ($7.95 USD) and house rib eye ($21.95 USD). Our requested medium rare was overcooked. Vegetables and baked potato came out lukewarm. They charged $3.00 USD for “the works”, which we didn’t ask for. Wish the waitress was upfront about that before it showed up randomly on the bill.

Stopped into The Beanery for a coffee. They have a second location, surprisingly, a few blocks away.
There was a small queue on Saturday morning but the line moved quickly. They grind and sell their own coffee beans.
- Latte ($4.95 USD double) with oat milk ($0.80 USD) - smooth, nothing to distinguish their beans from other coffee joints.

Been a few times to Cafe Dang Anh, a Northern Vietnamese spot open till 2:00am now! Still cash or debit only.
If you want hot tea, you’ll have to ask. Their Chinese donuts aren’t listed on the menu. Make sure to try their pickled garlic. Only saw jars on two tables.
We shared a bun rieu cha ca ($13.50) and pho bo ga ($13.50). Broth is on the lighter, cleaner side. Fish cakes were tasty. Noodle portion seems smaller than before. Meats (bone-in chicken, rare beef and well-done beef) in the pho bo ga were a touch overcooked.
