Solid 3.5 stars.
Located off Bayview just north of Mulock.
It is located within the Tim Horton’s plaza. Parking is tight out front but plenty of parking in the larger lot beside Timmy’s.
There is plenty of seating in the alcove or directly beside the half open kitchen concept.
Service is quick.
Had the baked Portuguese beef brisket and the ginger onion beef stir fry over rice. Both comes with daily soup and a hot beverage (HK tea or coffee - other selections available for a nominal upgrade)
The baked Portuguese rice sauce was nice and flavourful ontop of the egg fried rice base. The beef brisket was a little over braised but still had good flavour but the fried potatoes were a little disappointing as they tasted stale.
The ginger onion beef over rice was a-ok with a very generous serving. The sauce was a tad salty but yummy none the less.
Big plus for the complimentary daily soup (wish there was a choice of Chinese/ western but do appreciate the soup none the less)
The milk tea was quite nice with a rich taste and smooth finish.
Definitely a good spot to visit in NM.

The staff appear uninspired to provide any form of customer service.
I waited for 20 mins and when I entered, there were plenty of staff standing around and chit chatting. I waved one down after trying to get their attention for 3-4 mins while they just stood there staring into the abyss.
I inquired about a few shoes and the sizing. When I requested for a certain size in the style indicated by then, they brought out the wrong size and was later told, sorry, that size was not available... Huh?!?
This is definitely an outlet store including the staff who are working with a few deficiencies...

Taking advantage of the daily specials, I tried out their 1lb of wings for 9.99.
The portions were huge and came with a side of fries and very fresh carrots/ celery.
Tried the dry rub Cajun wings naked along with honey garlic sauce. Both were delicious and well seasoned!
Will definitely frequent this place to try out all the other flavours (including the premium - spicy curry and butter chicken) along with their other weekly specials

Save yourself the heartbreak of buying the pre-packed goods from supermarkets that have been sitting on the shelves for ever! Kar Heung Yuen produces their own goods fresh daily and packages them primarily for wholesale purposes to the food industry but the home cook or establishing cook/ restaurateur is able to walk in and purchase most items in smaller quantities (per pound).
They carry various bean pastes (Red, Green, Lotus - low sugar and regular) along with sesame paste and custard filling. They have many more but I am too lazy to list them all out and all very reasonably priced.
