We came in for an early dinner. The restaurant looks good and is pretty spacious. They didn't have a lot of staff so ordering the food and for it to come out took a while. I was going to order something to take home with me after my meal but I thought it would take forever so I decided against it. The soups were really tasty but I wish had more than a huge portion of noodles. The wor won ton had a lot in it and the wontons were delicious.

Beautifully maintained medieval castle. We came with a Viking cruise tour group and I'm so glad we did this excursion. It was really fun to drive through the little town then visit the castle. The tour guide was fun, friendly, and knowledgeable. The tour takes you around the wall, into the wine cellar, kitchens, stable, lord's room, and knights room. Seeing the toilet was very interesting! Lots of history here, the buildings are authentic and well maintained. The weapons and armor display was very interesting and great to see. There are several stairs here and some walkways are narrow and steep. If it's a damp day chances are the stones will be slippery. There is a very nice gift shop and restaurant with refreshments at the end. Try the mulled red or white wine, totally delicious. They even have something for kids to try. The schnapps made a nice souvenir to take home and share with friends.
We came in only for the store. The main lobby was very busy with people waiting for coat check and to go into the museum. The store was large with a lot of selection. The prices are on par with other tourist traps. Things are shiny and colorful. Great atmosphere and quick service.
A really beautiful place to visit. It was interesting learning about how the windmills function and what their purpose is. We had a wonderful tour guide who knew a lot about how to maintain and operate the windmills. If you get the opportunity to go inside the one windmill open to the public, take it! So interesting seeing the inside. There is a restaurant here and a very nice gift shop. Lots of opportunities for beautiful pictures.
If you or your kids love trains or are interested in the history of trains in Canada this is the place for you! The staff was so friendly and welcoming. We did all three train tours and I can't say enough good things about them. The restored train cars were so interesting but the best part is the tour guides! The guide was so informative and could answer all the questions my 7 yr old son who loves trains could think of. I really enjoyed the history as well as learning about the process of restoration. The gift shop could be better but it was still pretty good. They have a huge model train set that my son loved, I think we spent at least 30-40 minutes there. The museum is in a very interesting building with some nice displays. We had a fantastic time and I recommend all the tours!
