Au Bon Pho

A nice little restaurant situated in Arts et Métiers. The Pho here is ok, I am not too sure if it’s based on real bone broth (in any case any soup garnished with mint, basilica and lime will taste good), I am not super impressed, my preferred pho is still only to be found in Belleville and 13th arrondissement. The fry pork rice was good, it gave me inspiration to prepare it at home as the basilic gave a extra level of flavor.
The service was however a bit slow and staff not very friendly…
Very nice restaurant near the Seine in Neuilly. I ordered grilled octopus, and as you can see in the picture I got a giant grilled octopus tentacle. It was grilled just right that it gave a nice charred taste, at the same time it’s not chewy. Squishing the lemon juice on top lighted the whole dish up even more. It was great. The only downside is that it’s right next to water and bushes so I was badly bitten by the enormous amount of mosquitoes that I had to buy anti mosquito spray in a shop nearby…

This is the place to be to have pho in Paris! Service extremely fast, basically you order and wait for less than five minutes the dishes will be ready, however the speediness does not impact their food quality, extremely delicious! The broth has a great depth you can immediately taste that they are based on bones cooked for hours, and the herbs and lime are perfect company to the soup. The nems are crunchy and you can see that they are definitely not industrial. Highly recommend!
Very basic Flammekueche with industrial bacon and cheese, definitely overpriced for the quality. We were being rushed in the end as soon as the waitress saw we didn’t intend to order dessert, the restaurant wasn’t even full. Wouldn’t go back…
Le Caveau des Rois

Absolutely wonderful, it’s the only restaurant that we went twice during our 6 days stay in Riquewihr. The staff were very friendly and approachable (especially children friendly, really appreciated that). We ordered pig knuckle, fried sea bass and a local dish that I really can’t remember the name (it was with cream, puff and homemade pasta), all very tasty and the portion was giant. I recommend 100%! Though make sure you reserve upfront as it’s fully booked everyday.
