Small but enjoyable dog park within Discovery Green. It's a great spot to relax while watching dogs play and socialize. The park features water fountain for pets and has seating arrangements for the owners. Ideal for a casual visit with your furry friend!
If you are looking for a unique place to visit in Houston, Smither Park should be on your list. The park is located just beside the Orange show. Smither Park is covered with vibrant Mosaic Arts installations all over. Artists place variety of recycled materials from dinner plates to street signs, fishing lures, to create new mosaic arts.
There are 3 swings, an half circular amphitheater, memory wall. Saturdays host live mosaic art creation by artists which is open to the public. On the first Sundays, free live music at the amphitheater, crafting activities, and artisan vendors are organized here. Sometimes the background of the park is used for string the Orange show's art cars, so look out for those too.
Best part the admission os free. You have to go for Street Parking or go to the nearby Jody Miller Dog Park parking lot (if the entrance door is open). There is no restrooms available. Definitely recommend the park's whimsical atmosphere to bring family, friends and loved ones for an afternoon stroll or a picnic.

The Houston Legendary Graffiti Building is a must-visit spot in Houston! The walls are covered in vibrant murals celebrating H-town icons like NASA, the Astros, and Selena, it's a photographer's paradise. One of the murals from here is used as the Houston Snapchat Geotag. Nearby blocks also boast more murals. After some intervals, some of the graffitis are repainted by different murals which keeps the place fresh and exciting.
However, parking can be tricky; sometimes, the front of the graffiti building is allowed for parking, other times, you have to go for street parking. As a graffiti art enthusiast, I absolutely loved it here! Highly recommend for a unique Houston experience!

I have visited Buffalo Bayou Park couple of times and explored different trails6. Visiting this park was a serene experience! The numerous trails in the park offer delightful walks and biking opportunities amidst stunning natural vistas and captivating sculptures. The park has a bat colony, a skate park, a water works park and a cistern with light displays - all of which are Houston's tourist attractions.
Ample parking near the park adds convenience, but weekends can be crowded. If you are attending any event, it is quite impossible to get parking close to the event you are going. Nonetheless, the panoramic skyline view is worth visiting! Highly recommend.

Had a unique experience at this eccentric bar in Houston Downtown Main Street. The quirky design caught our eye, prompting us to explore the eclectic collection of weird artifacts both inside and outside. The ambiance and decor made for an interesting stroll. Perfect for those looking to break away from the usual bar scene and immerse themselves in something different.
