Pho Gia Hoi
2023 Dec 08
One of the few truly authentic Vietnamese restaurants you will find in/near Chinatown.

The ambiance is casual, just like most of the restaurants you will find in the streets of Hanoi.

As a kid who grew up eating my Vietnamese grandma's cooking, I can say that the food was spot on in terms of flavor. The soup from the Pho broth was like a warm hug, and the beef balls had a homemade texture, which I liked.

Although the place was packed, service was not compromised since we were attended to pretty quickly, and the server even offered an extra chair for our bags, which was a thoughtful gesture.

Would come back anytime I want to satisfy my Vietnamese food cravings.

Nice place with good ambience and good coffee (try the Horchata!).
Food was well-prepared, but portions were small for the price.
We ordered the Salmon Cream Cheese Bagel (good, but the bread was a bit tough) and the Sashouka (flavors were on point but bitin cause it came with only 2 small pcs of bread)
Would come back if I need a quiet place to work or just tambay.
(Expect a bit of waiting time because there was only one server at the time we went)
