Big Bowl Schaumburg
2024 Aug 31
My wife and I had a nice lunch at the Big Bowl! The restaurant feels upscale, yet it also is relaxed. There is a full bar, and the restaurant is deceivingly large! I will say, the restaurant lacks natural light so it feels like nighttime no matter what time you go (that isn't a big deal to me). It does make for a nice date night spot! The food was very good, and the portion for the lunch special was generous. I was very pleased with the experience and would definitely come back for dinner!
Value City Furniture
2024 Mar 03
A very large furniture store with lots of options (and price ranges). Upon entering, you'll be greeted by a sales person almost immediately. However in our experience, he was very "hands off" and let us walk around without any pressure or interruptions. My wife & I ended up buying a chair and we are excited for its arrival.
Minnesota State Fair
2023 Aug 29
Wow! The Minneapolis State Fair lived up to its hype! You could literally spend weeks exploring the Fairgrounds, but unfortunately it's only open for 12 days each year. The State Fair has entertainment for everyone -- farm animals and rides for kids, plenty of alcohol options for adults, and SO much food! We visited on a Sunday, and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too crowded, and there were still plenty of benches and sitting areas. Pro Tip: Pace yourself! If you stop and get food from every stand that looks good, you'll be full before you even see 25% of the Fairgrounds! I'll see you next year!!
My wife & I had a wonderful evening at Todoroki! We arrived early in the evening and so we had a hibachi table all to ourselves, which was cool! Overall the portion sizes are huge, the cooking is fun to watch, and the food is delicious. Pro Tip: A 20% service charge is included regardless of your party size (at least for the hibachi). It makes sense, but I wish it had been called out better, as I almost double-tipped!
Superica

Had a wonderful brunch / lunch at Superica on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant is very popular, so be prepared to wait! We waited about 45 minutes (don't worry, there's multiple bars close by!) and then had a fantastic lunch outside. The food is fantastic, and the location is incredible. We had a blast people-watching and enjoying the warm weather along the Beltline. Definitely recommend checking this place out, and having a margarita too!
