Hacarmel Market

I'm giving this place 2 stars for the food, but that's it, totally overplayed rubbishy market with cheap Chinese made items and knock offs. Air force 1 for 25 euro, yeah, they're real, just like the 220 Shekel Marc Jacobs bag..... If you like food, and that's your primary goal, go there, but there's flies over the food that sits out, do choose wisely. As for the rest, just garbage wrapped up as a tourist attraction. I feel very sorry for anyone that pays for the "tour" it's 1.5 streets, that's it. Go enjoy the beach instead, that's free.

Dirty, litter everywhere, windows dirty, very unmaintained, just a concrete jungle surrounded by hotels that are in desperate need of a makeover. Like a lot of modern Tel Aviv, it's a facade of Westernism that doesn't last.
TLV Mall

Tel aviv is suffering what I would call "tourism mega build" building infrastructure with zero thought or plan. TLV mall is closely located to the shiny new mega offices of pwc, Deloitte, Amazon, Intel, Google etc. So they try to recreate London, brussels, Amsterdam, Munich and fail, because they have zero plan how to integrate transport, workers living standards and needs, just build shiny and new and everything will be ok. The mall is a basic recreation of the Western shopping centres only with less on offer and very very high prices. I live in Brussels and I thought bxl was expensive, but Tel Aviv is 20-30% higher. If the government don't address the soaring divide of mega rich v workers there will be civil unrest - encouraging money from tech and using it on useless malls in amongst poverty will not turn out well.

Some well known brands but small stores and nothing of any real need - how many Israelis can afford a 2500 euro handbag? This is just 1 of 3 useless malls in Tel Aviv, and is surrounded by seriously run down buildings, dense traffic, bad public transport links. The mall is actually building apartments that no one other than tax evaders can afford.... As you can tell, I'm not a big fan of developing countries taking this route with useless malls, sky scrapers for companies to avoid tax, and destruction of traditional values which is why Spain, Italy, even the Netherlands is reversing this trend.

Shops, sure, if you like paying over the odds for mediocre brands
Tel Aviv Port

A great experience if you like tacky doing centres on a sea front, which remind me of Britain 20 years ago. The surprise was we were looking forward to traditional buildings with some history, but this has all been replaced with modern white and glass buildings that are already falling apart, too many sea front bars with mega discos, too much traffic, next to a power plant, not at all like they advertise.
Best burgers on Dizengoff for sure, whoever said that this is no better than gas station burger needs help. The burgers are fresh, well seasoned, come loaded with toppings are cooked perfectly just nice and juicy and all served with a smile by the great team at LTBS. Just awesome, if you are near Gordon beach / Dizengoff area, go, you won't be disappointed!

Loved the bottomless napkins, a great touch as you do get sticky fingers 🤌

Great place to eat that won't break your wallet unlike most of TLV
