Disappointed! Ughh I been wanting to check out this place for a while. I ordered the falafel rice bowl but it looked like a falafel soup. For your reference I will attach the picture of what I was thought I was getting vs what I got.

Cons:
-too much tahini it hides all of the veggies. How can I taste the rest went everything is drowning in Tahini.
-hummus as well as garlic sauce were runny. Can’t even tell you what they tasted like.
- can’t even tell you the taste of the falafel either as the sauce covered them

Pros:
- huge portion
-falafel still crunchy after all of that sauce (hence the only reason I gave it two stars)

This restaurant was the highlight of our trip. The food was fresh, perfectly seasoned and a lot of it. We also ordered the squid but I forgot to photograph it.

The menu is only in Portuguese, we ordered off the pictures and we got the sea bass recommendation from the waiter.

For your reference the restaurant is in the main square of Alfama district. In front of the fado museum.

Drinks was about €36 and so worth it. You won’t find a meal like this in the main tourist areas on this price range.

Hello gorgeous, delicious and perfectly baked bread! I mean look at this stunning display of pastries!

Having recently move to this area and wanting to support the local business I was driven to this bakery by the amount of amazing reviews.

I have been to Europe many times and replicating a croissant or pain au chocolat is a challenge to any baker yet Artisana has mastered the skill and it presents you with the perfect layers inside the croissants as well as flavors. I felt I was back in Europe.

I also bought a loaf of the brioche bread. While it didn’t look like the picture from their website it definitely tasted like it. I used it for French toast and it was a hit with my family.

I look forward to tasting more of their products as everything I bought was outstanding.
