I was pleased that this was not a wasted journey and I was able to recycle some small electrical items and some clothes. One of the recycling bins was opened though. Compared to Westminster (where recycling bins are everywhere), Islington has a rather limited service. I've had to travel quite far to get to this one.
I have to say that my overall experience was good. The staff were very polite and efficient and the drink was nice and hot. The only problem was that a very long queue formed behind me so I had problems getting a comfortable seat. The other problem was that they had run out of Christmas drinks which are the only ones I really like anyway. The venue has good views and a pleasant atmosphere, it is just a bit overcrowded at the busy times of day.
I had a good time in this Starbucks, I’ve been here more than once. The staff can sometimes be a bit blunt but they are also usually very helpful. There are lots of soft seats to sit on and this place has quite a vibrant atmosphere. I would like to see the staff being more willing to tidy up the tables but it’s always a good overall experience. Sometimes this coffee shop can be busy but there always seems to be somewhere to sit and the lighting in there is very good. It’s not so much dark but cosy. The prices are slightly higher than a normal Starbucks. I paid about 20p more for my Americano but it was very well made.
