Amazing and beautiful place. Mountain and lake in one place and people are really nice. The village is quaint and town of collingwood is not far for grocery and other things. It’s also fast developing.
Overall cost : $80 with tip.
First time visiting this place. Went to the thornhill location around 2 pm. I guess we went there when there was no table service or perhaps their system is different from other regular joints. So we had to order at the counter and pay for it and tell them if we are eating in or taking out. We paid and told the girl we are eating in. No issues so far. The girl was patient and explained the menu and the combos and tone was friendly and pleasant.
The only issue? When we got our food, they decided to pack it for take out even though we told them, we are seated at a certain table and would like to eat in. Guess the couple of servers available at the time didn’t want to serve us? Created a lot of hassle as they had packed everything in plastic containers and we only had plastic cutlery. We ended up eating in in the plastic containers.
The food was not bad, although I had asked for my lamb to be medium and I think they made it well done or at least that’s what I felt with the texture. The bread we got was really soft and I really loved the hot mushrooms with humus. The falafel with rice was not bad but nothing special about it. The place is very clean and it’s got ample parking as it’s in a plaza.
Overall I came out of the place with a rather bad taste in my mouth with regards to the whole experience but I would def not discourage anyone from visiting this place and try it out if they are inclined for some Mediterranean food and if they can’t find any good Greek alternatives around.
