Heard a lot of good things about this restaurant, and that's why we drove all the way to Spandau to try it out. But the experience was definitely not worth all that trouble. Kotthu parotta and the curry both just had a lot of black pepper, and because of that we couldn't taste any other flavour in these dishes. Except that, we ordered gobi and pakoda, which were good. On top of these, we had a cup of tea as a drink, which was alright. We tried only vegetarian dishes, so the experience maybe different and better if you are a non vegetarian.

Overall, it's decent, but I'm pretty sure you'll find better restaurants closer to the city center.

First of its kind I have seen after coming to Germany. It is a sweet and chaat shop similar to what you might find back home. It is a small and tidy place and the owner is a great guy. There is no table service though, only self-service.
Tried the Samosa chaat and Jamoon. Samosa chaat tasted great, and Jamoon wasn't that bad either. I have heard good things from my friends about Chole Bhature and Paranthas as well. The menu had good north Indian dish options and I would love to try the rest during my next visit. The price is pretty low compared to other restaurants, so I would say this is a must visit place in Hamburg.

Great looking central area. It looks beautiful throughout the day, and under lights too. There are many things to see nearby, and a lot of good restaurants too. The place is always pretty busy. There's also a small shopping street which has a very nice collection of amber jewelry and some souvenirs. If possible try and visit this place once in sunlight and once later in the night.
