In a new city, you randomly pick a restaurant on a very busy touristy street and hope to get a pleasant meal. The meal was good, but the service was dreadful. The scallops were in a very salty sauce. The bisque was mediocre. My fillet was nice with vegetables, and the lamb shank was decent. Most of the time, the staff just ignored us and were not very friendly.
The food tasted as good as it looked. Freshly prepared, and the aromas were amazing. The Chicken Biryani is so good. The Keema curry is delicious. The Naan is perfect. The Raita is nice and the salad is fresh. The Afghan style sweet Biryani is unique but not for everyone's palette. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Good value for money.
It's one of those places that you go for an experience when you are in Toronto. One can pretty much order from breakfast items like Pancakes, French toast to full on Sunset breakfast, which includes Eggs, Bacon, Sausages and Poutine. Blueberry Pancakes are big, a bit dry and the Syrup is not Maple! Other items are mediocre and nothing exciting. They are a chain and well-known establishment. Service was good but rushed.
