Below is my original 5 star review. I was left with no choice but to change this to a 1 star review due to complications following move-out. Everything I stated in my original review remains true and this review does not reflect on the building staff- this is a reflection of the AvalonBay company. Following move-out, my roommate and I waited over a month to receive what we thought would be our deposit back. Instead we were sent a bill. Not only did Avalon charge our entire security deposit they also stated we owed them money to cover cleaning fees and damages. Of course, we refuted. They took over a month to “investigate” and returned to us letting us know our fine still stands. However, they didn’t even have the decency to let us know by when it needed to be paid, and the customer care line hasn’t taken mine or my roommate’s calls in days. Yet, Avalon is threatening that if we don’t pay soon they will send it to collections. This issue is still in active dispute so hopefully we can pay what we were WRONGFULLY fined and move on without further issue, but I would never recommend renting at an AvalonBay property given this experience.

I loved living at Avalon for the last 8 months. The building is lovely, my apartment is stunning, and the location is amazing. I feel lucky and blessed to have found this place and to have called it home. Most importantly, I don't think I could possibly ask for a better, kinder, more attentive staff. Ayanna has quickly become one of my favorite people to chat with in the whole world. She was always so kind to me and made Avalon feel like a home. In my first few months, Cheyenne was such a great staff member to talk to too before she moved locations. Tierra is always helpful and kind. I have been so grateful to have all three of them at the building during my time here. Honestly, I simply don't have time to mention every incredible staff member by name from maintenance workers to the leasing staff they have all been so kind and amazing.
P.S. The rooftop is incredible (amazing view and so clean and well kept)
