A six-metre-high statue of a dog which is made entirely from Accoya wood stands in front of Assen Station. The design also incorporates holes drilled into the Accoya wood allowing interaction with children. When children’s voices are heard, steam is released from the statue. A must see interesting art.

If you are in Nijmegen, don't miss this one! Very friendly staff. It is is amazing to experience being completely blind for a while. Trust me, you lose track of time! Even my 8 year old could comfortably experience the entire walk. They have designed it very well. If you need a tour in English, book it in advance. We did not know this, but they arranged it specially for us at a short notice. That's really kind of them! The tour guide was super nice well. We felt very comfortable with her. A big thanks to team MuZIEum for making this English tour possible for us!
It is a memorial to Walraven van Hall, who is considered one of the great Dutch resistance fighters of WWII. W.V. Hall was executed by the Nazi occupiers of Amsterdam in 1945. The monument erected here in 2010. What you see is a detailed bronze of a fallen tree (symbolizing the fallen giant - Walraven). The tree monument is similar to Giuseppe Penone Fallen Tree monument at Jardin des Tuileries in Paris
A memorial for the victims of the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 shot down over Ukraine has been unveiled near an airport in the Netherlands.

The memorial is 298 trees — one for each person who perished, planted in the shape of a ribbon near Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam where the flight took off for Kuala Lumpur.

The trees, symbolising hope and the future, surround a curved steel wall sculpture and are encircled by a ring of sunflowers.
Nice small park in the city for a stroll. It is such a welcome greenery when it is hot and sunny. This small cozy park in the city center that is famous for its statues. Two of them are believed to help in search of love. The third one is a reminder of a tragic event, which occurred in 1999 on the underground Nemiga station. A good place to take pictures. There are also shops where you can drink a coffee. Could be very romantic with a partner.
