Belmar has a wonderful family friendly beach. There are parks for children lining the beach front. There's a mat walkway running down the beach on all entrances that makes it easy to bring strollers or beach caddys right onto the beach. The beach isn't so long that you're walking forever to reach the water. It has Playa Bowls, Dunkin Donuts and a few other places across the street where you can easily grab bags of ice, ice cream or lunch. I was able to run and grab my son chicken fingers instead of having to leave the beach. And bring him right to the park when he was getting antsy. The closest park was visable from our things and a 1 min walk. Perfect beach.
I just started going here because I want my toddler to experience religion and be baptized. He's 16 months. Everyone was friendly. The church gave out the nails from the cross to everyone- I've never seen that before. It was nice. I especially liked that before they gave out communion, they walked to the seats of any handicap/disabled individuals and gave it to them at their seats. That stuck with me. I will be attending this church weekly with my family and hope to have my son baptized here soon.
