I went to your Fernwood location in Bethesda, MD today for a bio screen for work. Part of the screen was a waist measurement. The tech who took the data used a paper tape measure. Greater than 36" and she had to use to pieces held together. She came up with a measurement of 65". I said that was impossible - I am not small, but in no way am I 65". She said she would take it again and came up the same. I told her she is reading it incorrectly - she insisted she knew what she was doing and she was doing it right. I said, think about how big 65" is - that's over 5'. She insisted she knew what she was doing. She asked what I thought it should be. I said around 42". She then asked how long ago that was. It was the summer. She said she would write down that measurement because clearly I was upset. I wasn't upset - I am exasperated. I told her, put down what you want for me, but for the next person, you need to know you are doing it wrong. She would not listen. I went home, with my tape measure I show I am 44". That your tech would not listen to reason, or THINK for that matter, and is perfectly fine providing inaccurate data for health insurance purposes is a major problem. At the very least this tech needs retraining. I am utterly appalled this is your standard. Not only did she not care that her data collection is flawed, she then just put down whatever number I said. I may as well have said 35" because then I would of passed that portion of the bio screen.
